Anyone with the facility of reason would have scoffed at the very idea that Juventus were interested in Glen Kamara of Sevco.
Moreover, it is risible to believe that the seven-year-old club is currently in a position to put up a “not for sale” sign on any of their players.

However, it was interesting to see Mr Gerrard very publicly shoot it down as a “made up story”.

I can only conclude that he was speaking off-script.
By that, I mean that he was simply telling the truth.
As regular readers here will know Operation Sell Alfredo has been in the works for several months now.

The usual suspects within the Stenography Corps have been more than happy to copy and paste these world exclusives.
Yes, dear reader, we’ve been here before.

This is all leading up to the first month of 2020.
January will be a crucial month for the basket of assets.
Firstly, the New Year break will limit the amount of matchday income for Sevco.
That’s particularly unhelpful at the moment.
Of course, Mr Gerrard insisting on the Dubai training camp only adds to the woes of those at Ibrox who actually have to deal with the invoices.
However, the main event will be how to reduce the wage bill and bring in funds to plug the gaping hole in Sevco’s finances.
The RIFC yearend accounts reported losses of £11.3m.
Since the accounting period (30th June 2019) the reckless spending at Sevco has continued.
Ryan Kent for £7m when they already had sourced others for that position.
Now, the people who will run Sevco in Mr King’s absence will have to deal with his capricious profligacy.
A cynic might conclude that the stories about putative interest in any of Mr Gerrard’s charges have been deliberately planted in the media in order to generate REAL offers.

For the avoidance of doubt that can only happen if some chaps within the Fitba Fourth Estate are doing their best to facilitate the fiction.
Of course, I couldn’t possibly comment.

Surely there was some interest, no?
My source says Juve were short of match day ball-boys
On Morelos.
He will be sold for over £10m off the strength of his goal returns this Season and his apparent change in attitude on the Park.
He’s scored twice as many goals as Édouard this Season and on course for a 30-40 goal Season on “currant” form.
Anyone who who thinks otherwise is in for a shock.
I don’t like him as player but the fVt remains he scores goals and that is all any prospective buyer will be interested in.
Will you be buying Craigy Whyte’s interestingly named book when it is released Phil?
The man must have a decent sense of humour (despite the experience) if the release date is anything to go by…

Can’t wait for the reviews.
I guess Sevco taking 5 off of Hearts was no surprise considering the mess Craig Levein has left them in. I have nothing against the man and while he looks and talks the part and can understand Budge’s misplaced belief in him, I believe he knows very little about football. Please bear with me, I am one of those people who hold Martin O’Neil’s insistence in playing Rab Douglas, responsible for the loss of the Uefa cup final to Porta. A rather illustrious member of the team stated “you can’t win finals losing goals like that” but I would not dare suggest he thought the same. However O’Neil seemed to waken up and papped big Rab off to Leicester on a free at the request of the aforementioned Levein who was inevitably sacked not long after. That to me says it all.
Before adherents of the Sainted Martin come on, I would like to suggest you looked back at some of the games and see how Lennon (7 million from Leicester!) would break up Celtic’s attacking play by passing sideways or back, similar to what Brown was doing under Rodgers. The defence eventually just punted the ball up the park. I often wonder what a talented manager would have done with a team that included Larsson, Sutton and Hartson.
Well he lost narrowly in a European Final to probably the best team ever to win that particular tournament. They are the only team as far as I know to win the cup with the big ears the following season.
I believe, rightly or wrongly, that much of his success was down to Larsson, Sutton and Hartson. According to Thierry Henry, Larsson made the difference between Barcelona and Arsenal in the 2006 Champions League Final helping to create the former’s two goals.
I think O’Neil’s blindness with regards to Douglas is akin to Rodgers insistence on playing Ambrose until it was too late against Lincoln Red Imps. Also, the need for a decent right back seemed obvious to everyone except the hierarchy and that cost us dearly. Similarly Lennon seems determined not to play Sinclair who to my mind is a great player and could do a turn later on in the match when the opposition are tiring. If I remember right, he had scored a hat trick just before Lennon took over. Is it stubbornness, self-belief, taking the “huff” or “cutting ones nose off to spite oneself”? Who knows, It’s above my pay grade.
Liverpool won the UEFA Cup in 76 and the European Cup in 77 but I do agree that Celtic lost narrowly to a very good Porto team.
Whatever we all say about the charlatan that is King he , Green and originally of course Murray all know precisely how to press the buttons of the Ibrox faithful… and they are very good at it
The levers to ‘work the fans’ are all in place .
Full time 24×7 proactive and controlling PR messaging
A worshipping ( or should that be worshipful?) media and pliable governing body infested with your own fans .
A weak government who will turn a blind eye to the corruption and racism .
Seemingly limitless loan funding from home and abroad turned on as required like a tap
It’s all there !
For so long as the results happen and there is a good chance CFC and their fans can be put back in their place the fans will want statues and believe anything that reinforces their supremacy based belief system
They won’t and don’t give a sh💩t about all this Ashley/debt repayments and going out of business crap … because they believe it is a CFC fan construct built out of fear AND won’t happen anyway because they have mega assets they can sell AND they will just reset and start again if need be
They have only one mindset … just get back to the top and rub their noses in it and they don’t give a toss who funds or how it is funded… just spend the money!
King pressed the perfect button by saying no point in having a bank balance and nae trophies . Mega debt and stopping 9iar is a brilliant game plan as far as the fans are concerned
If they win on Sunday (and although I don’t think man for man there is one of their players you would replace a Celtic player with … none of them ) and it is perfect possible ….you have to say it will be ,and be viewed as such , as a vindication of King and his strategy
Charlatan or not You would actually have to admire him if he pulls it off by getting trophies in the cabinet because with The previous Ashley based regime controlled spending they would never have got near CFC … and at the very end of the day it’s all about the football for the fans not running a business
I sincerely hope on a Sunday evening PL is not checking out his online business banking app on his cell phone seeing £10ns of millions in the CFC account whilst King and Co are prancing around Hampden with the cup in their hands
I can just hear Kings handshake comment at the end . ‘How’s that big bank balance looking Peter? ‘
All down to Neil Lennon to save the Board’s skin at least for the time being!
Nailed it.
Verum2
Exactly my own thoughts but I try to think of something else when they enter my mind.
It is highly possible, especially after losing a simple goal yesterday against a pub team, but it doesn`t bear thinking about, especially when it is on one of my favourite Holy Days of Obligation.
Yip’
If a big lump a wid frae Ross County can score that easily from one cross then heaven forbid if they get a Dozen chances on Sunday.
It was a good warning !
That said if Celtic really do turn up it will be comfortable… but we all know what can happen in football and they are very confident even if they are grossly overhyped
A closer inspection of the 5 nil thumping of hearts, with clearly 2 penalty incidents for the Jam Tarts with a potential red card, who actually looked beaten before they departed on their team bus as I saw them in a Glasgow City Hotel. Naismith shook his head in disbelief, as they watched County v the Champions when the penalty decision was given, before departure. Definite cliques in that Jambos group.
I think the telling fact is, Gerrard off point again…… BR did it repeatedly in hindsight, and wasn’t challenged when things are going well. It is an absolutely colossal week, and I watched Aberdeen v St Mirren and St Mirren ran the dons ragged in the first 45, so I am expecting a 3 nil win for the tribute act. If they drop points it will be a seismic shock.
Gerrard, the more he challenges the narrative, the more the narrative will come back to challenge him, failure in December and watch as the rug get pulled from beneath him….. sell, sell, sell.
Celtic, have an opportunity to turn the tide this month for the next couple of YEARS, the cash burn will only be accelerated – how can they spin selling “assets’, if they beaten this weekend and on the 29th a phycological scar is imprinted, then a civil war will breakout,
King V Everyone Anyone. Gerrard v The board, Gerrard V the PR Guy, Gerrard v Fat Grado, The Board v KingCo,
The Rank ‘n’ File KKK v Sfa, the police, the banks, the BBC, actual journalism, their “enemies of the rangers list”, Uefa, all things green and white, Catholic Toasters, and just about anything else they can frenzy about….. There are some great fixtures ahead, I just wish you could get a behind the scenes subscription! Oh wait they’re told no filming on the tour!
what a week ahead!!! COYBIG
The next four weeks could define the next five or six years.
For sevco I meant!!
Working his ticket methinks…..
Last year’s losses will fade into insignificance by the time the current financial year ends in June 2020.
With Close Bros, Sports Direct, football and other creditors all in the queue, it’s a racing cert that someone will have to go to foot the bill.
The ST monies will be long gone by now and it’s questionable if those who have bought into previous share issues will stump up once again in January as the value of their current holding is further diluted.
Only this morning have you got Martin McKeown bumming up Morelos saying he’s a £35 million player because of his exploits in Europe, but still put one by the champions of Scotland.
On Talksport last night they had 2 European experts on football matters . The presenter Goldstein put it to the 2 guys about rumours and morelos being touted at 50 million . The 2 guys started laughing and answered like this . We cant put an exact figure on him but what we can say is this it will be under 10 million . Now once again where are the dud press journalists to quote this as they seem to find themselves all the way over to China Mexico and places far away like this . But a story on national radio in this country and nobody runs with it . Now had these 2 experts mentioned 50 million quid for morelos you can bet it would have been front page news of the daily ranger and the evening shark jump . Everything kept apart from the BENNY’S we can t go upsetting them they are the only dafties buying their newspapers.
It seems that, if anybody out there has serious money to invest in stocks and shares, Marconi Electronics are not a wise investment, since too many football clubs have purchased faulty radar equipment that suggests that the dross at Ibrox are worth serious consideration.
However, my FTSE 100 top tip has to be to place your money in pharmaceuticals, particularly the one that is the sole licensee of the Deludamol brand. My long-range forecast is that this is where you will gain most from your investment, as the share dividend is likely to be quite high.
Seems to me this site, and its contributors, have been talking about Sevco’s cash burn and liquidity issues for years and yet they continue to get stronger. The fact is they keep funding their losses without selling any players so here’s a radical thought for my fellow Celts; wake up!……they’re matching every goal and have funds from people with deep pockets, who keep going deeper and converting, despite wishful thinking who’s to say it’s going to crash, everyone on here has been saying this for 5 years now and been wrong time and time again. Let me make the contrarian point on here…..I think it’s time we took the challenge seriously!
All that matters is that Neil Lennon the players take the challenge seriously.
They do.
All the rest is noise.
