Yesterday Alan Brazil made something of a stir when he alluded to “big problems” at Rangers apropos Dave King.
Well, I do not know what the ex-footballer was referring to when he made his claim live on air during his morning show on Talksport.
What I am fairly certain of is that there are several people around the board room table at Ibrox who might no longer see Mr King as an asset to their club.

Now there have been grumbles in the Blue Room about Mr King’s stewardship for some time.
Despite that, the Convict Chairman has heretofore maintained a firm grip on the seven-year-old club.
However, my interest was piqued yesterday when an impeccably placed source told me of a recent conclave of the Sevco High Command.
He stated that it had been arranged by a Stateside chap.
Nothing untoward in that except that I’m assured that the esteemed chairman was not invited to partake in the sit-down
Moreover, neither apparently was the Conveyancing Consigliere.
My information that the main agenda item was the contribution of Mr King to the Ibrox cause.
I was surprised to hear of this turn of events.
It is undeniable that Mr King, as chairman, has been able to maintain a firm hold on power ever since the Off Licence Putsch in March 2015.
However, one thing that is different now than from previous years is the control of information apropos the accounts.
In times past Mr King would have sole control of the paperwork and then share the finished, finessed version to his colleagues on the board.
Now, I am told that the auditors have circulated their work to all of the directors directly.
Given the putative level of consternation in the Blue Room regarding the numbers then it would be fair to conclude that the hole has got bigger since last year.
Now, it would not be helpful to the Sevco cause if General Ashley asked for a ring-fencing in the High Court next week.

Regular readers will be well aware of the details of the litigation emerging from Dave’s cunning car boot sale with Elite Sports.
Of course, whether or not to ring fence the disputed monies is a decision for Lionel Persey QC (sitting as a Judge of the High Court).
I do not know if this legal matter and that meeting without Dave or his guy have anything to do with the fact that two senior Sevco functionaries were in the Square Mile earlier this week.
Despite the deployment of Non-Disclosure Agreements the City is a leaky old place.
Just what service did the two Sevco chaps want for a set fee of £750,000?
As I have written here many times before, if you strip away the Herrenvolk hubris it all comes back to money at Ibrox, or rather the lack of it…
Mr Brazil was confident that the putative problems at Sevco would ultimately be revealed:
“It’ll all come out in the wash.”
If he is correct in that belief, then it will not be down to the investigative powers of the Stenography Corps.

The only marches we should see throughout Scotland are the marches to ban all the sectarian ones. I’ll say it again the Scottish government must ban all republican and orange marches time to move on.
So the blue room reformation has begun.
The phrase – winter is coming; was and is profound and apt for the HBO thriller, however the RIFC version will have a more ice age feel to it. Let me be clear, we may not manage to get them into liquidation again, I believe the authorities and corporate governance bodies will block the goal line for that particular scenario. However 12,13,14IAR is possible, due to financial restrictions, is well within reach, however much they want to smear it with historic abuse cases and lack of the real rangers to challenge. (I know they’re level of point scoring and the depravity of it knows no bounds)
They have an over emotional brand manager, who’s love is LFC, and his job is RIFC. In the same presser, where he lauded Lfc’s good grace and assistance and the “deal had to be right for Liverpool” again ignored by the assembled MSM, within the same Sevco Tv press conference, they’re “second biggest” ever signing, who sounds like he is auditioning for Arsenal TV, said the very same club, “lied” to him…… Mr Let’s Go, is structuring his whole existence to be their manager. So he will not want RIFC failure on his copybook.
which leads me to how he expects to do it…The Chequebook, there has not been one player he inherited or bought in that you could definitively say he has made them better. So his brand effect is solely reliant on “upstairs”. The are about to enter a Civil War period, in their brief history. The incumbent King, will savage those he knows are plotting like Guy Fawkes. They will try, but it is never his fault, – Mark Allan now “sold” Gerrard to Rangers – Steven Gerrard -” spent all the money” Mike Ashley – “crippled the club cashflow” on a deal setup “by the old board deal” ( I know right), the rebel board members – “were not loyal to the cause”, traitors ra lot of em…..and so on……
Kingco will survive the Valkyrie plot. the aforementioned will not.
He employs too many, there are too many, “journalists” media guys, authority and pr guys that could end up with more than just a few questions from the rank n file, and we all know how they like to threaten the enemies of the ranjurs.
Steven George Gerrard, will be the next public fall guy. Then a board “shake up” will follow, it will require a perfect storm of situations, no one, wanting to buy to the dreck of the squad, the SG payoff, the 9iar loss, the team punted out of both cups and no money elsewhere due to MA, Elite, Close Brothers and Hummel, for “Wash” Alan Bernard Brazil, speaks off, – clearly he’s expecting and has heard it’s capute and only a matter of time for public record.
Brand Gerrard: May trigger it by saying, Terminado, for me n meeee staff … publicist – Mr Gerrard you have a CL quarter final between, Man City and Barcelona to cover on Wednesday on BT…… damage limitation.
one thing is for sure, they are toxic blue brand, the additional ” going concern” elements will make them a financially toxic brand, we are just hoping just unlike the last time that was the case, the remain in an ice age till the end of time.
Excellent post Eamon. If they sacked Stevie G however, who in their right mind would wish to take on that particular poisoned chalice. Personally, if I was in charge of the Huns, I would put Stevie G on gardening leave, and appoint John Barnes to the job. Methinks that would be a VERY popular choice amongst the Ibrox hordes. HH
Thank you, very kind. – One thing is for sure, NO ONE, not even Mr Let’s Go, will want to be holding that proverbial bomb, come the kick off next season. It will need to be “one of their own” beyond reproach to reputation, if they do succumb. OR someone, so left field that is it actually getting surrendered before a ball is kicked. A Patsy Pedro, if you like!
A long way to go, but once the spring comes this season, the 10, appears on the horizon in full view for the first time. – I for one can not wait!
Magma
I think you will find it was only 1 republican march cancelled. From memory I think 4 TFOD marches were also cancelled.
The point that I was trying to make Nutz, is that the Orange walks were only banned so that they-city councilors- could then ban Republican Parades, and be seen to be acting in a FAIR AND IMPARTIAL MANNER…I know, I know, nae sniggering at the back there.
As for my previous post…if these parades continue to go ahead, then a non-violent campaign of civil-disobedience should take place…starting with the non-payment of the poll tax/council tax. Starve these bastards into fairness. Hail Hail
Once again kudos on airing the dirty laundry of Scottish football. Not that what you write comes as a surprise, you’ve been keeping score for us on a regular basis.
Just one observation, though, they may have been soliciting a particular service at 750k but that would simply be the start, and acknowledgement, of the end game. All that service would do is buy them a very short amount of time and nothing else.
I’ve suspected for some time that this would be coming right before there is a defined amount awarded to Ashley next week. By doing something like this they are trying to control the impending Insolvency event PRIOR to Ashley becoming the biggest creditor. Once he is the biggest creditor he can force an event under HIS terms. The other thing that an Administration would do is remove any current creditor debts, including the Ashley judgement, by reducing them to payments of pennies in the Pound on them.
However, their 2 biggest problems, Close Bros and Ashley are Administration proof, so their structural financial issues will ultimate doom them! But as I said, this would buy them a little bit of time and they could also see what favours their friends at SFA could deliver.
could the set fee of £750,000 be for something along the lies of….the administering and managing of a future Insolvency event??
I don’t like it when partisan ex – players in the press make unsubstantiated claims, even if it’s our partisan ex – player. Either put up or shut up. There’s so much evidence of mismanagement at the Ibrox laager that you and others have unearthed, Phil, that Brazil ‘ s input actually undermines that investigative approach. It’s on a par with Kristen Boyd ‘ s journalistic output and I’m surprised you’ve given it an airing here.
Think Phil has filled in a lot of blanks here….I for one appreciate it
To be fair to Alan Brazil , who has spent the previous few weeks working with former Ibrokes Manager Mcoist . His hands are somewhat tied , by that new burgeoning relationship . Reading between the lines and the silence since ,Brazil is only pulling the pin off the projectile , he will leave it to others to actually aim and throw , he perhaps expected a bigger impact from the Mark Allen departure or indeed the upcoming decision from Q.C Lionel Persey .
I wouldn’t hold my breath hoping our spineless cowards at the MSM, doing any investigative journalism into the goings on at sevco, hear, see and speak no evil springs to mind regarding the workings of that shambles of a Club,
A wee bit off-topic here-as usual-but here goes.
I see that good old Glasgow city council, have given the go ahead for four-yes, four- Orange/Fascist parades to be held in town tomorrow. How totally disgraceful, and how utterly predictable. One week after banning Republican parades, these bastard councillors are willing to trample on the rights of the Catholic community, and other innocent parties. These so-called politicians say that they were ‘forced’ into making this decicion…are they having a laugh or what? Only when these bigoted thugs in suits are signing on the dole may they be willing to listen to reason.
So here’s what I propose. Under the Freedom Of Information act, it should be easy enough to learn which councillors voted for these parades to go ahead. We should all make a solemn pledge to ourselves that come the next council elections anyone who voted FOR these measure or ABSTAINED should be f****d out of office by our community. Furthermore we should pledge to ourselves that we will NEVER AGAIN vote for any party, at local or national level, which permits their councillors to vote in favour of Fascist parades. This will be an difficult one for me, as I simply do not vote except for the 2014 ref. However I am prepared to make an exception at the next council election, and I will be making damn sure that any scumbag calling at my door looking for my vote, will be told in the strongest terms, why I will not and cannot in conscience vote for ANY person or party that permits these parades. These uncaring bigots are spitting in the face of our community. No more, I say. Everyone, as a famous and gallant young man once said, has a part to play in this political struggle.
For those who say ‘what does it matter’ I say this. Are you f*****g serious or what? Would a British National Party parade be allowed through Brixton or Toxteth? Would a KKK parade be allowed through Harlem or Compton? Of course not, and neither should they be. What therefore is the difference in OUR case?. I think we can all make an informed guess at the answer to that one.
So, come on Bhoys and Ghirls…lets do our civic duty and make sure these Orange bigots are only allowed to march in areas where they are actually wanted. Hail Hail.
The RIFC accounts were made public last year at the end of October, 31/10/18.
[Going by the first mention in the DR.]
I guess the Blue Room members will currently be having animated conversations about the contents of the Notes to the Accounts…
and just how / who will cover the material funding shortfalls in the next 12 months, and for the year 2020/21.
Don’t think the auditors will accept an IOU from King as proof of funds – and their Report could include a Going Concern uncertainty written in rather more stark terms this time.
If at first you don’t succeed you’re fucked 🎶🎶🎶🎶👍😎🍀👍
Gosh, was there not a previous attempt to get a particular service for a set fee of £500k? I guess that’s inflation for you
Tic TicTic… B 🙂 🙂 M
