Some time ago I wrote here that Brexit had made Britain “the Sevco of Europe”.
Now they’ve doubled down and appointed someone who is part Dave King part Pedro.
He has been able to spoof his way through the hustings.
Anytime he was skewered by tough questions his evasiveness was simply ignored by the (overwhelming white mainly male middle-aged) electorate of 160,000 members of his party.
They consider him to be one their own and that he can put the “Great” back into Britain.
The parallels with Dave King and the Ibrox klanbase are too stark to ignore. If Boris is given the keys to number ten in the coming days he has crisis brewing in the Persian Gulf.
President Trump has allowed chicken hawk John Bolton to manoeuvre the US Navy on a collision course with Iran.
The Brits followed their leader and seized an Iranian vessel passing Gibraltar.
Of course, there is just one minor problem with this Atlantean solidarity and that is that the Brits now have a tiny navy.
Unsurprisingly the Iranians retaliated on a British flagged vessel.
However, the British navy does not have the resources to weigh in where the action is at the moment.
Lord West, a former head of the Royal Navy told the media that the Royal navy had “too few ships” to provide protection in the Persian Gulf for their merchant fleet.

That undeniable fact is the end of a process that started with President Woodrow Wilson’s machinations at the end of the Great War that led to the Washington Conference in the 1920s.
he was determined to end Britsian’s maritime supremacy and he did.
Yet, the Brits like to pretend that they are still a major power.
