For those among the Ibrox Klanbase who remember the David Murray cheating years these are very different days.
In fairness to the Director of Fantasy at Sevco Mr Mark Allen does seem to be grounded in reality right now.
The grubby reality is that he is down in the bargain buckets scraping for scraps and scrapping it out with the likes of Gillingham.

The basket of assets will be bitterly disappointed to lose out on Matty Willcock, but them’s the breaks down at that level.
However, he will be delighted that he was able to “swoop” on a player who was freed by Birmingham City.
I am sure that Greg Stewart is the sort of Galactico that Mr Let’s Go needs to topple Celtic.
Of course, this reality is at variance with the high-Level narrative that the Sevco High Command wants on the back pages.
In fairness, they usually get want they want apropos unquestioning coverage from the tabloids in Glasgow.
The Sevco High Command pushed the boat out in the January window when they thought they had a chance against a faltering Celtic.
Davis and Defoe added massively to their wage bill.
However, in the end, the club formed by Charles of Normandy ended the season without a trophy.

I would not be surprised if this transfer window sees Sevco dealing mainly in free transfers and loan deals.
After all, that is what clubs with a cash crisis tend to do.
Therefore, Stewart and Willcock make perfect sense.
Quite simply, Mark Allen is playing with the financial hand that he has been dealt with by Mr David Cunningham King.
The upcoming share issue will wipe out debt on the balance sheet, but will not provide any new money.
Of course, it wasn’t meant to be like this.
In the heady days after the Off License Putsch, everything was meant to be rosy in the Sevco garden.

The reality is that the Convict Chairman always had a plan that involved Other People’s Money (OPM).
The Ibrox klanbase happily swallowed the high-Level line that King was a Bear and was willing and able to fund their dreams of Herrenvolk supremacy as in the Murray years.
I wrote in the summer of 2102 that the creature put together from the body parts of the original Rangers would not be a viable vehicle for the klan’s supremacy addiction.

Different club, same ugly hubris from the customer base.
I’m not surprised that King’s plan has, so far, worked perfectly.
That is because he knows his customer base very well indeed.

The OPM of the People has an irresistible allure for the Ibrox klanbase.
In reality, the “co-investors” are being hit from all sides to keep HMS Sevco afloat.
Now, could Big Mike be about to torpedo the entire enterprise?
What I certainly DO know that Ashley’s QC recently walked the judge through the entire car boot sale scenario.
All I can safely share is that King’s cunning plan didn’t sound at all good when it was fully laid out there in forensic detail.
Of course, any litigation can go either way.
However, the last thing that Sevco needs at the moment is another bill in seven figures and a calendar month to pay.
When you know that then Mark Allen’s efforts to reinforce the squad looks prosaically sensible.
Ignore the hype and follow the money.
Braggadocio on the back pages will be at variance with the reality of the situation.
David Murray could play Football Manager firstly with the bank’s money then he engaged Paul Baxendale Walker to provide him with tax porn.
The Ibrox klanbase will want Mr King to spend big this summer.
Now, that’s their problem right there.
They lost out to GILLINGHAM!

The Rangers fans are on cloud 9 with the Turnbull deal on the brink of collapse.
There are hopes that Gerrard will match the Celtic offer and bring the player to Ibrox!
As if they have a spare £3m when they are in competition with lower English league clubs and struggling to best them with their offers for lower league players.
Turnbull’s agent is doing his client no favours and Motherwell must be sick at the prospect of losing out on a record fee.
The boy will be be earning a max of £1000 per week yet his agent is looking for £20k per week which is more than some of the current Celtic first team squad are getting.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the boy which the actions and advice of his agent is going to deny him.
Turnbull will have many years ahead of him to ponder what might have been.
Looks as though the lad Turnball rejected the hoops, hope there’s a bit more in that rather than us being a bit tight.
Good way for the SM to deflect
The debt swop for shares further devalues the shares held by the current investors
Lets not forget this is a company that has lost money in each year of its short existence.
No doubt when the auditors sign off on the next annual financials the numbers will once again be in the red, a completely different scenario to the rosy non audited numbers previously released by the club/company/thingy.
A full season of meeting the salaries of Defoe and Davis plus the recent recruits will put a strain on resources.
An extended run in the Europa will be a must have.
It’s been made clear by Bennet that Kingco have maxed out and already the ST money will take an immediate hit to pay off the Close Bros loan.
Interesting that Level 5 PR Website doesn’t exist any more
Sevco are shopping at Poundland, or the scraps they get from the Scottish clubs on loan, alternatively they may get someone they have to pay for, ON TIC. What a shower, Jabba and his klan, along with the Scottish media (sic) are grounded, what with Celtic taking a deserved Treble Treble, and now we are spending real money (not the banks) to provide a team for the fans. Eat your heart out Morons!!!
Phil – is that you at the telling lies again? Everybody knows that “rangers” are cash-rich… Dave King told them so, and he also stated quite clearly that Ashley would be getting a severe kick in the haw-maws in court. 🤣🤣🤣
Shame lol
Looks like Portsmouth might also be about to best them for George Edmundson from Oldham. Although it is the DR reporting that, so either Jabba hasn’t been paid at his usual “level” either this month, or it’s just a bit of drama to make it look like a great deal if they do sign him. It could of course be true and based on genuine journalism but, given the source, that seems unlikely.
Be fair Phil. They may not have trophies, but they have smiles and, according to the award-winning journalists at the Daily Record (winner of the Daily Record Newspaper of the Year Award for 25 years running), that is worth more than all the trophies in the Parkhead cabinet. Besides, we all know that having millions more to spend on players doesn’t confer any sporting advantage on you. That judge said so!
