Inculcating credulity

In the immediate aftermath of the Off License Putsch in 2015 Mr David Cunningham King spoke of glowingly of his “co-investors”.

That was his way of flattering the supporters who had demonstrated against the ousted broad.

Of course, Dave’s plan was always based on Other People’s Money (OPM) and the fans bought into it, aided and abetted by the Stenography Corps.

Mr King knows all of the klan’s buttons to press and he does so with aplomb.

Consequently, the OPM of the masses has worked a treat on the People.

They have manifested credulousness on a scale that the previous Sevco regime could only dream about.

Now the season ticket prices are being increased because, wait for it, Sevco are almost at the top of Scottish football!

As I have observed on several occasions here recently, Celtic’s internal problems this season made the race as close as it possibly could be given the disparity in finances.

Moreover, RIFC director John Bennet stated that the current method of external financing was unsustainable.

Consider this, if someone in the Parkhead boardroom had made the same statement of Celtic’s financial situation then the fans would be in uproar and the local media would, quite rightly, be all over it.

The truth will be subject to economies that would embarrass the driver of the big red Brexit bus.

Instead, with Sevco season over it is time for the Fantasy Games to begin at Ibrox.

This annual event can only happen because if the quiescence of the chaps on the sports desks.

It is almost as if it has been inculcated into them

  1. Even the BBC pundits are ripping Dodgy Daves nonsense apart…

    (45 minutes in)

They’re actually laughing at how the gullible mugs buy his guff!

    Daves new word ….

That’s like one of those ‘collective nouns ‘

    A PRIDE of lions
    A SCHOOL of fish
    A POD of whales
    An INCULCATION of Gullibillies

    Goes along with…

    A CONCOMITANT of Huns

  2. I think you’re all awful harsh on Sevco for their apparent lack of achievement. After all, they were only a four year old club when they broke one of Scottish football’s OLDEST records. They became the first club in ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN YEARS to LOSE to Hibs in a Scottish Cup Final!!!

  3. Wow, if this statement from King is the reaction to 8 IAR what next when 9 and 10 IAR are staring them in the face.
I notice Ally is getting a bit mixed up in his latest article.
On the one hand he believes King will fund bringing in better quality players then goes on to exclude Kent from this because of cost but may come back on another loan?
He talks of keeping Morelos and Tavernier, really?
Is he unaware of the latest Close Bros loan?
Does he not know that SD is in court with Rangers this week looking for a substantial chunk of money re the merchandising shambles?
The gap between revenue and expenditure this season is likely to be significantly bigger than previous years with no guarantee of another Europa Cup run to swell the coffers.

  5. Maybe I’m going down the wrong road with this, but it would appear somethings a bit off in that twitter ad you shared with us from the ibrox twitter page…….. to me it looks like they have lightened the skin tone of their top striker.
Maybe I’m just being too cynical. Maybe I’m not. At the very least it’s excessive or selective airbrushing, at the worst it’s well, we know.

  6. Sevco are indeed close to Celtic…

On a map of Glasgow, theres only an inch between Govan and Parkhead.

    😂😂😂

(A special thanks for that one has to go to a Mr Paul Ellis, who was the TNT Skypak UK Logistics Manager around 1992).
