One month till Rebellion redux

It is now one month till the curtain raises in Webster’s theatre in front of a live audience.

Many have already bought their tickets to watch “Rebellion”.

They have my thanks.

However, my gratitude is mainly directed at the folk who will walk the boards from the 11th to the 13th April inclusive.

Rather like an expectant father I have recently been asking the theatre director nervous questions apropos “Rebellion”.

I’ve been keen to hear how the cast are progressing in rehearsals.

Of course, my anxiety is entirely misplaced, but every writer who has ever written for the stage will get it.

Last night one of the cast told Twitter that they were flying at it.

Robert is a new addition to the squad, but there are some veterans from the first run too.

That is probably the ideal scenario, although it wasn’t planned like that.

The first time the play was staged (2016) it was inf front of packed out crowds.

Here is the view of one person who was there years ago.

As before, the tickets are now going fast and this time it is for three nights only at Webster’s Theatre.

When it was agreed late last year to put it on again in 2019 I wrote this by way of background.

By any objective criteria, I’m a professional writer.

Consequently, I should be able to communicate effectively in the written form.

I really should.

However, I don’t have the ability to adequately express my thanks to the folks in the Sweet for Addicts theatre group.

I just know that on the night they will smash it.

The remaining tickets can be accessed here.

If you go you’re in for a treat.

That’s a promise.

    • The cast are flying in rehearsals.
A couple of them, in particular, are wearing their characters like a second skin.
      You’re in for a treat.

  2. Phil,

Had purchased tickets last November and had actually been along at Websters on Saturday night for “bend it like brattbakk”

    Excellent venue

    Now looking forward to this
