This week was scheduled to be a bit of downtime to get some writing done.
Yeah, cheers.
Did I mention Shakespearean?
Good grief!
Lenny back in the John Wilson Arena last night as the new Celtic manager.
At the end of it all the Armagh man was whooping it up, but for an age, it looked like two points dropped.
All that and a banner about Brendan Rodgers being “a fraud”.
The turning point was Lennon being able to bring on a £9m player to bolster the attack.
Of course, it was Odsonne Édouard who netted the winner from close range.
Celtic are the only team in Scotland who can bring a guy off the bench who cost £9m.
No sporting advantage though.
As the young Frenchman scored the winner it was that delicious moment when the natural order was re-established.
In the breathless post-match reaction, Lennon indicated that playing five a side in your own six-yard box would become a thing of the past.

That Rodgers paradigm almost certainly gifted Hearts their goal from the penalty spot.
Either side of that self-inflicted wound, Celtic’s two goals were both of the highest quality.
The counter-attack goal was exhilaratingly simple.
Only Olli Burke took more than one touch in the move.
As the ball left Ewan Henderson’s boot and James Forrest finished it was five touches from the initial pass to the finish.
It was the first time that Lennon had seen what attacking resources he has at his disposal.
Apparently, the sight of a happy Irishman was too much for one of those tasked with creating the new tolerant Scotland.
The ” he brings it on himself” narrative is straight out of the klan playbook whenever the treatment of Neil Francis Lennon is discussed in fair Caledonia.
I’m sure the SNP will take swift and public action against Ms Paton.
If they don’t then they are sending a strong message on their view on anti-Irish racism in their part of Britain.
Then Sevco were back into Close Brothers for another secured loan-sorry “overdraft”.
So a fairly slow news week then…
Perfect to push on with the manuscript.
Yeah, fine…
A normally reliable Ibrox source has been off the grid this week and therefore I have no insight into that new development.
Yeah, off the grid.
I envy him…
I have written to BBC Hunland to ask why “sectarian singing from Celtic fans” became part of Sportscene’s post-match analysis last night.I have never heard these biased bastards ask the same question of Sevco fans…who are a leading authority on the subject. Will I get a satisfactory reply?….well if I do..it will be a first.
The natural order was well and truly established when the Ajer never got a card for giving away a penalty, ( no one can claim it was not a goal scoring opportunity ) and nothing done about Boyata’s assault on Naismith, not to mention a red card when a yellow was sufficient for a player attacking the ball.
Yes the natural order of the ” old Firm” being helped by officials to keep the top safe.
Good job we had those 4 penalties as well then, wasn’t it? HH
Phil, a couple notes on the ‘overdraft’ facility.
(1) you will note that it was created on 20 Feb, five days before Chairman King signed off on the interim accounts. I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that he forgot to mention this development in the shareholder letter…
(2) it looks to my eyes like the term ‘overdraft facility’ may not be entirely inaccurate. Yes, it is a secured lending facility. But this is the second time in two years RIFC have utilized Close Bros for the loan under essentially identical terms. And it also appears based on the audited year end results that there was no balance outstanding to Close relating to either this charge or the second one that was never released upon payoff. So the terms may not be reflective of a more traditional overdraft facility, but RIFC are essentially using it in that way. Close, of course, are covering their bases by making sure that they have collateral.
Hang on a moment Phil. Rangers have just issued a one pager set of financials showing a net trading profit.
Of course the numbers are unaudited, with no balance sheet, nor cash flow statement.
How is it possible that with this miraculous turnaround in the finances that Close Bros have been called on again?
Next round with Ashley is due in April, who knows what will happen, and ST monies won’t come in till May.
Is this to cover the shortfall from not selling Morelos or Tavernier in the window?
Dear me…
It’s like pawning ‘grandads medals’ every time there’s a cash shortfall…
Basically hawking the ‘prized assets’ for a pay-day loan at the end of the month.
The timing looks like it is precisely that…
27th February…
Couldn’t have Mr De-Faux kicking off because he’s not had his 150k or more for the month.,
They must be absolutely running in fumes and desperate for season ticket money to roll in!
Now I’m sure those ‘fag packet accounts’ said they were in fine health?!?
What a red hot fizzing end to the season it’s become. 9 and 10 should be a dawdle now. HH
Meant to say as well… McGregor and Christie are really big misses for us…as our game flows quicker and sharper with them in the team….as last night was back to the old Victor Sylvester style of play.
Older readers will know what I mean…..:0)
First up Phil…What would you do without us Internet Bampots taking up your valuable time ? ( Don’t answer that…:0)
To matters serious however.
Delighted that Lenny will give our Beckenbauer wannabees an instruction to cut out the nonsense at the back.
That was pitiful last night… ( not just the penalty ) and mustn’t be repeated.
I’ve been screaming about this for years….so here’s hoping we’ll see no more of it.
Also I’ve a favour to ask…
Given that the imbeciles and morons who bring our support into disrepute …can’t read….could you ask someone in authority at Celtic to issue an Official statement… on radio or the telly or Celtic TV…. condemning these parasites and asking them to switch allegiance to Sevco….’cos we don’t want them.
Already the “sectarian singing” and “coin throwing” from last night has been featured on BBC Scotland News…and won’t they love reporting that..? …Oh yes they will.
Oh and watch out for STV tonight…we’ll get a repeat no doubt.
Why these wankers, who profess to support our Club, bother turning up to games is beyond me…’cos they obviously don’t give a toss about their actions…( see whit ah did there…?…ach suit yersell.)
Anyway…I hope that they shit nothing thicker than black thread for the next month.
Rant over…
Onwards and upwards Celtic.
