Now is the season of sensible austerity at Sevco.
Apparently.
Do not be surprised if four of Pedro’s high earning acquisitions leave in the January transfer window.
Bruno Alves, Daniel Candeias,Eduardo Herrera, and Carlos Peña are simply earning too much money.
That quartet accounts for almost £140k per week between them.
Consequently, they are unaffordable.
That nice young Mr Murts has been told to plan for being without the three of them after January.
If these moves come to fruition, then the radar press will dress it up to fall in line with high-Level guidelines.
However, any sober analysis of the facts will come back to the harsh realities of austerity.
If this cunning plan works out, then Herrera and Peña are most likely to return to Mexico and a Middle East club has expressed interested in Alves.
Young Mr Murts has also been told to identify three positions in the team that need strengthening.
That will go to Director of Football Mark Allen who then has to come up with players to fit the bill.
That then goes to a committee of the Mr King, the Magnificently Maned Factotum and the Serious Professional.
Only then will a move for a player be sanctioned.
Those are the conditions under which a new manager would have to operate.
Some might sign up to that, but others, on learning of these managerial restrictions, might well Do Walking Away.
Was this one of the factors in the McInnes debacle?
Is this one of the things that his agent did not like when he conducted his due diligence for his client?
The January window should yield public data of distressed sales activity at Sevco.
That would certainly make financial sense.
Of course, the reportage in the radar press is that everything is peachy at Ibrox.
Sure, they said that in 2011 about the original Rangers.

With Motherwell landing £500k for the most excellent Louis Moult perhaps we will stop hearing about how Sevco lost out on Barrie McKay?
The lad was half the value of Moult.
Regardless, it shows the lack of value put on good showings in the SPFL. Not markedly valued down south.
Phil,
I think it breaches UEFA regulations for them to sign for three different clubs in a 12-month period. Not sure of the exact details, mind.
Loans would be ok,I reckon-but the huns would still have to cough for a fair bit of those salaries.
Phil are you 100% SURE about those four getting £140000 per WEEK between them. If they’re being paid that on a 52 weeks per year basis that’s £7.28m, marginally more than their annual losses at present. So basically, all other things with last year being equal, will getting those four off the wage bill allow them to break even this year? Or just help to stop them doubling their losses?
Does playing FIFA 18 in the hotel count as training?
4 in a row for Murty! Admittedly I’m a little surprised -Aberdeen away (albeit with manager speculation rife) was a good result Hibs away little help from the referee there & another 3 points. This is great stuff and the Klan must be on such a high— But what of the fate that will await them at Paradise on the 30th of this Month? Realisation will welcome them at the home of the Invincibles before they are torn apart by the Lions of Celtic the people’s Champions! I can’t wait..!
Now’s the season to be jolly..
A tad off topic but I see “honest mistake” no.16 happened last night at Easter Rd.
How the far away linesman did not see that handball is beyond me
Barry Ferguson must be way, way out of the loop at Ibrox.
He’s slamming the board for not going after John NcGinn!
Aye Barry trot on, £3m up front if Newco come calling.
Someone will be having a quiet word in his ear telling him to cool his jets as the natives may get restless and expect some January transfer action.
Difficult to see the likes of Alves, Pena, Herrera, Rossiter, Kranjcar finding better contracts elsewhere and walking away from their deals comes at a cost to the employer.
Morelos may attract some attention from an English Championship team and if so his feet won’t touch the ground on his way out the door.
That might be enough, dependent on the fee, to see them through January.
Erm….losing those three would have no impact on the team.
Hardly doomsday stuff Phil.
Hi Phil
Any news on the courts decision …. take over panel vs King …
Seems to me it’s too long a time for the judge to give his verdict by law is say their it a time limit to give the verdict or it become null n void
I see the ref who took it upon himself to knock off the recent Rogic goal for offside despite no flag from his linesman again contrived with a linesman to ignore as blatant a hand ball as you will see much to Hibs ire last night.
It’s worth pointing out that most of the officials currently plying their trade in Scotland are a product of the John Fleming school.
How come that after so many years not one outstanding ref has come through the ranks, not one.
It would appear that the only casualty at Hampden is the national team manager whilst everyone else is untouchable.
Going back to the Farry/Cadete disgrace the registration official who fed him the information is still on the premises and in fact can claim as his own the farcical assumption that the registration of the Oldco players, without details of DOS/EBT payments, was imperfect but legal, a concept never aired previously and driving a horse and cart through the SFA’s own rule book.
We clearly continue to have the worst football linesmen and referees in world football or they are pro Sevco Rangers bent.
Statistically every team has decisions for them and against them equally over a season. Normally few of each.
Sevco receive consistently match winning decisions too numerous to be honest mistakes.
Is anyone keeping statistical count? Game date, result, time of event, final score, bent points won? Over a season Rangers until 2012 and Sevco since, pick up 12 points per year to bent officials.
Statistics will prove its not honest mistakes. Start keeping databases of incidents. The SFA rely on fans being forgetful. Tabloid readers who move onto a new story tomorrow.
Totally agree- this is the elephant in the room. None of the managers are able to say it but there is a definite bias to the both Rangers and to a lesser degree Celtic. How can the other teams just sit back and accept this ? We are moving back to the RCFA (Rangers and Celtic Football Association) as opposed to the SFA which is supposed to represent ALL clubs in Scotland fairly and without favour
Solution is to implement television review by the 4th official and his discussion/decision be accountable to the public as per rugby
Who knows the SFA could be the pioneer of the technology in world football !!
To be fair, both the large Glasgow clubs benefit in exactly the same way. Just ask any Motherwell supporter.
Poor Poor ‘Gers – there’s no justice for the Gers! The Business men who moved in on Sevco are, I’m sure, generally much the same guys who destroyed the old ‘gers a few years ago. Now, “Here we Go – Here we Go – Here we go-oh!
Let’s face it, they are not in this for the money (Aye, Right!) they are, and Always have been, “True Blues” the club who desperately ‘do it’ for their glorious fans; the True Blues’ the Huns, the Peepell, the Holy Order ……. Orange!
What we are seeing now, is a carbon copy of the David Murray era. He thought, the more he spent of his multi billions, and trillions, the more popular and famous he’ll become and – to ensure he CONS the “REAL PEEPELL”- The Real Rangers Fans. Screw them, eh Davy Boy!! How to destroy a century of one half of the “Old Firm” Glasgow Football team! How the man ploughed Billions into his Glorious, Precious Team, to Guarantee success and successes and More. He Paid indeed, many many millions millions of pounds and spent all of his Billions on Quality, International Players. ‘Cept, it wasn’t HIS Money – it was the Banks’ Money, ie – the Peepells Money! The Rangers Fans’ Money’ Somebody else’s Money!
What a miserable, Scrounger and Con. The Con of Cons. The destruction of a hundred years and more, Famous Footie team which was created for the FANS and good Sportsmen. Mr Murray then sees his Dream of Multiplying even more Billions for himself but then the Free Financing came to an abrupt end! No more free borrowing/stealing for this greedy man. So Mr Murray sells his ‘Loving’ Rangers Football Team AND the Stadium for the princely sum of one Pound! Yes, a Quid! A Pound, a good old Scottish Pound. And that was BEFORE any further monies, debts, Fees, players wages, expenses, Directors’ hard earned wages and costs, fees etc etc etc.
One Pound. Or was it a Penny? Who cares. One man left a million and more ‘Gers’ fans around the world – without a football team. Gone. Empty. Taken from them. Fckd!
Gone to the Wall. No more Rangers. No more Trophies. No more Laughs. No more Glory and exciting football. The fans were seriously Kicked in their Stomaches. A season, or five, withoot their football. The die hards switch to St Mirren for their weekly footie diet. Gone. All gone and finished. The glorious SFA and powerful ‘Scots Football Association’ helps Rangers Football Club (now Sevco) – By RELEGATING the Great Gers to the Lowest Scottish League in our country.
“Airdrie/East Kilbride/ Hillington/Annan. The Pits …..
Then along came Dave King, et al – The Saviours of Sevco – NOT!! ?!
What a ‘Story’. One, could not make it up !!!
MORE TO COME ….. FURR SURE.
tc
Tommy Great rant now tell us what you really think. To have an Association that allowed this tragedy to Scottish football and especially the now defunct Glasgow Old Firm worshipped by millions of real supporters who breed and bleed for there team by a frigging selfish Bastxxx don’t get me going.
I don’t think i want them to go bust, my heart couldn’t take that much hilarity in one go. I’m in perfect health, by the way. It’s just that the whole thing is really, really funny!
I want them to go and never come back. Too many memories of the knowing smile from them. We have all seen that!
Four wins in a row for Murty and 2nd place. If this keeps up, then common sense would suggest that the job is his
The purse strings will decide who is the next manager of the tribute act
Come on in Mr Murty, what size are you in brown brogues?
It’s the gift that keeps on giving
Wasn’t a huge chunk of Alves’ “salary” the payment of his signing on fee spread over the length of his contract? In which case surely that continues to be due and they may even have to pay it all in one lump.
I presume that if this is the year they do go bust, they will try to limp on to February/March and hope that an administrator would let them play out the season with no wages in the hope that a liquidation/newco could happen in the summer break to perpetuate the continuity lie. Much harder to do continuity if fixtures are missed and annulled mid season.
Sorry phil but I don’t think anybody looking in here believes that those three are on almost 50 grand per week each. It’s just not realistic, don’t suppose you can stand this up?
You haven’t been paying attention.
All such details previously supplied.
If they’re paying those wages to the players in question, I really can’t see the players going anywhere…they are clearly not worth even a third of those wages to ANY other club…imo they’ll still be at Ibrox come February. If that’s the case…Mr King will have to ‘dig into his childrend inheritance’….
Maybe he’s including tax haha
Oh yes phil,
Correct, spot on, and I like many are waiting on sevco the shambles going bust.
You really don’t believe it ,you really don’t believe it , you really don’t believe iiiiiiiit the sevco are going bust ????????
Have a happy Christmas to you and family phil see you at your next gig HH
Do you really think they will move without some incentive? They came to sevco for the money which I am sure was much much more than they were presently getting. I’d be surprised to see them walk into a contract paying much less than the gullible club currently pay.
Secondly they get a pretty easy ride in this country and can pick and choose when they train and play.
