Keeping up a dangerous pretence

They were doing well at “undisclosed fee” and really should have left well alone.

Sadly the old Ibrox vainglory kicked in.

The stenographers breathlessly told us that Waghorn had been sold for £1m.

Sadly, it was always unlikely that Mick McCarthy would play along with this high-Level pish.

The numerical reality is that young Master Waghorn changed clubs for £250k plus VAT.

I’m told that the quarter of a mill will be paid over two transfer windows.

However, he is, at least, off the wage bill at Sevco.

Those excellent chaps from Campbell Dallas are scheduled to make a presentation to the Sevco High Command this Friday.

I’m sure everything will be financially ticketyboo.

No, seriously.

The bottom line is that the Sevco High Command bet the farm on European income.

As we all know there was little Progrès on that front.

Now there is the scramble to get players off the wage bill in almost any fashion.

This is the classic behaviour of a distressed company.

However, what compounds the problem is that there is the constant need to maintain the big club façade to the world.

Given what is now extant across the city then that could prove to be a dangerous pretence.

  1. Pena cost £3,5m, no seriously !!!

Buy Low sell High, right Dave.? Stop Celtic, European revenue, going for 55, amalgamate oldco and newco, Better retail deal (snigger !!), no external debt and financially one of the best clubs in the world…Best squad(s) in the league.

If the Well game is anything to go by I’d shave a couple of months off my prediction of Pedro being there til Xmas.

    Porkie, I tell ya.!!
