This enchanting little vignette happened in the open air seating area at the Royal Yacht Hotel in Jersey’s capital St Helier last Saturday. There had been a Sevco convention, and the Channel island idyll was invaded again. This time by the Bearmacht.
Earlier in the evening, Scotland took on England at Hampden.
The Quintessentially British lady was thoroughly Churchillian as she dispatched the French couple homewards.
She then took her rightful place at the table where former Rangers boss Alex McLeish was holding court.
Elsewhere Ignacio Javier “Nacho” Gómez Novo, the man born in Ferrol in Galicia and born to play for Rangers since conception was wandering the island with Charlie Miller and Derek Johnstone. One of their stops was the Temple Bar, home to the Jersey Loyal, where it is said by some that Fenian blood wading is part of the ambience.
Back at the Royal Yacht Hotel Alex looked a little puzzled at the new guests who had gate-crashed his company.
However, he kept checking his mobile to catch up on the International aftermath. Perhaps Alex was hoping, just hoping, that someone, somewhere had suggested he’s the man to lead Scotland if Gordon Strachan heads for the hills.

1) Where are Sevco getting all these transfer funds to sign multiple players?
2) Your Sevco/Ibrox insiders have clearly been feeding you false information over the last 6 months and its making you look a bit silly and desperate…Do you think they have now become double agents for the rogue board?
3) Can you please refrain from getting our hopes up unless your information is “double checked” entirely accurate.

He is clearly juxtaposing the blatant propaganda from the redtops in Scotland with your information from a reliable well placed source and rather oddly finding in their favour.
When have the Record or Keith Jackson ever misled the Rangers support, particularly when it comes to financial matters. When have you ever got financial matters correct, for example your ludicrous contention that Rangers would be placed into administration then be liquidated.
It is of course possible, however unlikely, that he is being a tad disigenuous.

There was another Rangers pub in St Helier, The Bond, but the local authorities made the owner change its use due to the unruly behaviour from the inhabitants , it was bringing the tone of the place down having “the tunes” blasting out every day
El Ferrol (known through his dictatorship as EF “del Caudillo” – of the Bossman) had a better-known son than Nachito: a certain Francisco Franco. It had a perfumed existence for many years, a bit like another shipbuilding area.
