Scroll Bar Issues

I added a fix to the site code which should solve the problem.

This was a javascript error which means that it only effects the web browser on the pc, laptop, phone etc that you are using.

Everyone has different browser settings therefor depending on which browser you are using will dictate how quickly the fix will take to work it’s way through.

So far Chrome, Firefox, Opera browsers have begun to show the scroll bars. It is taking more time on Safari and Microsoft edge.

When you visit the site and you don’t see the scroll bar please refresh the page a few times. You can also clear your browser cookies but I would not recommend that in this instance (unless you know what you are doing).

Hopefully as the day goes on the site will return to normal. If you are still experiencing problems tonight please contact me and give me feedback. I am currently updating my site but the contact page is open.

  1. Phil – you’ll need to make a wee change to the top of the site page…

    It should now read:

AUTHOR, BLOGGER, WRITER, I.T. SPECIALIST, and SEVCO APOCALYPSE PREDICTOR.

  2. The things we do to get our Phil-fix. I reduced the size of the last two posts to 50% to get everything on the screen.

  3. The scrolling is fixed – thank you!
Suggestion – Can you consider having hyperlinks open in a new tab (as opposed to navigating completely off the site in the existing tab)?
There are often – indeed typically – links to references and for me anyway, think it is better to have these open in a new tab while leaving the original page in play.

  4. You’ve been hacked Phil either that or you need to tell IT guy to end all of his articles with

“Loss making business without a credit line from a bank”

  5. This is indeed great news because as you know I have been struggling with this issue for a couple of days now but everything appears to be working well with this page at least. So thank you for that.

By the way, in case this should help others, I got around the issue (because I couldn’t bear to miss my fix of Phil,) by refreshing the page and holding the scrollbar with my left mouse button as it briefly appeared while the page was loading. This enabled me to read all the articles in full.

Thank you for your continued hard work on our behalf.
