I understand that a world class football administrator had a surprise visit last week on the 6th floor of Hampden.
Although Mr Regan had reached out to the South African-based entrepreneur no meeting had been arranged.
Therefore, he was rather taken aback when Mr David Cunningham King showed up unannounced.
The message that had been sent south of the Limpopo was along the lines of “Dave we need to talk”.
High on the imagined agenda had been the issues emanating from the verdict of the Takeover Appeal Board (TAB), the UEFA Financial Fair Play regulations (FFP) and the solvency of Sevco in the coming season.
As has been reported here passim the ruling on the King Concert Party would have a contagion into the business dealings of Sevco.
Moreover, the UEFA FFP regulations present several challenges for the five-year-old club.
The convicted criminal was quick to inform the world-class administrator that they really had to hang together on this one.
My reading of that is that if the SFA were not amenable to the South African based entrepreneur then Mr King could do a number on them.
Real fit and proper….
therefore, I expect wise counsel to prevail on this one and some way forward will be found to facilitate Mr King and the Ibrox club.
Meanwhile back at the Holding Company Vehicle the Sevco High Command are very keen to hear from their esteemed chairman.
One thing they are expecting is a legal bill emanating out of the TAB hearing.
Of course, that isn’t Dave’s problem.
He has other people deal with some trifling matters such as paying bills that he runs up.
Meanwhile, the offer of an unconditional favourable settlement to General Ashley has been rebuffed.
Quite simply Big Mike will not treat with the Sevco High Command while Mr David Cunningham King is involved with the Holding Company vehicle.
His game plan since the Off Licence Putsch of March 2015 has been to play for time while the Holding Company Vehicle runs out of cash.
For the next six years, the chaps in the Blue Room will have to cope with effectively no retail income.
At the time of writing, I understand that the Sevco season ticket renewal is down on this time last year.
Of course, this might just be a case of the Ibrox clientele waiting to see the quality of player that Pedro will bring in.
In better news for The People, I’m told that Mr Niko Kranjčar has stated to the Engine Room Subsidiary that he wants to stay at Sevco for the remainder of his contract.
Now that’s real loyalty for you!

Watch Sevco turn dirty to offload players the way they did with Joey Barton. Long contracts not wishing to be honoured by the club.
Is O’Halloran being targeted with the 6am starts?
Surely it’s not the SFA but UEFA who decide on who competes in their competitions for the coming year?
A solid turd is not enough.
UEFA FFP requirements and conditions must be met and adhered to.
It’s high time that Regan was booted out.
How was he appointed in the first place… anyone know?
Its the SFA who issue the licence, they have to implement UEFA standards say in regards to all tax being signed off.
Sadly we all know to well how thoroughly they will check the accounts of the New club, much the same as the old club I suggest ( take a look at this weeks trail to see how badly exposed the SFA was!)
Celtic might have to summon a new resolution at the next AGM just to keep up!
M.A.D. absolutely !
Thanks Phil,
Rather bad news, very well received.I read somewhere that part of Kranjčars reason for staying on,is that his remuneration from his deal with ‘WD40’ is simply too good and he couldn’t expect to be so well lubricated elsewhere.
Then again, you shouldn’t believe everything you read.
Vocabulary +1,cheers Phil✅
If Hearts manage to finish fifth, do you think Anne Budge will be quite content to allow Rangers to illegally take her club’s place in the Europa League, for the greater good of Scottish football? I wonder!
