I am hearing that the Sevco High Command made several appeals to Mr David Cunningham King’s better nature.
Indeed, as late as yesterday one of his Concert Party colleagues made an 11th hour appeal to him to do the decent thing.
My information is that the South African-based entrepreneur was willing to act in the best interests of the Holding Company vehicle for the small sum of 26p per share.
That’s a bargain if you ask me!
Sadly the Sevco High Command have not decided to buy him out.
Mr King’s strategy was always for RIFC for to be unlisted and free of Stock Market governance.
He was also certain that there would be no journalistic scrutiny from the local media in Glasgow.
Moreover, the feel-good pish from the sports desks would ensure that The People became the main funders of the Engine Room Subsidiary.
For the avoidance of doubt, for as long as Mr David Cunningham King remains in situ at the Holding Company vehicle then this Takeover Panel trouble impacts on Sevco.
The words “Financial”, “Conduct” and “Authority” should now be concentrating minds at Ibrox.

“Someone’s at the door with a letter, will I sign for it?”
“NO!!!”
Not getting comments on the page phil.
Could King be trying to stall long enough to use season book money as collateral for share offer, knowing that no-one will take up offer?
Look Lazarus. It’s ok being grateful but if I new you were going to be such a pain in the piles I wouldn’t have taken that donkey off you in the first place!
SFA.
I’m guessing the rest of them either don’t have the cash required to buy him out or don’t want to throw even more of their own money down the black hole with the attendant responsibility then to throw ever more down after that. Game of pass the parcel anyone?
I’ve no doubt he would sell, but to any of the 3B or their friends and they end up with>30% so have to make an offer themselves. No further forward.
Hi Phil,
This site is truly awful, please go back to the old format. I don’t need to list the issues as i’m sure others with more technical knowledge will have told you, it is just looking or operating as well as the last site. Not a comment that needs to see the light of day, but you should know.
Those eejits who put in the soft loans are not going to throw any more money at Sevco, assuming they have it in the first place. There really is no shaming the Scottish media or the SFA who stand by and watch, what they sanctioned, play out.
As my old granny would say, “hell slap it into them”.
