That the local stenographers in Glasgow are onside for Dave should be axiomatic for regular readers here.
However, not all within the mainstream media are so enthralled by his dignified flannel.
I understand that there was an interesting conference call earlier this week at a major Scottish tabloid.
The boss man from down South was on the line to some senior stenographers in Glasgow.
The hacks were asked why they had not pursued the story about Mr David Cunningham King being embroiled in a story in South Africa.
One of the chaps in Glasgow said that it wasn’t really a story.
Au contraire said the important chap in England.
It definitely IS a story.
However, he posited that the hacks in Glasgow were “too cosy” with the Johannesburg-based convicted criminal.
After this telephonic conclave, the tabloid in question did go after the story about Dave King’s company Micromega.
However, they were gentle on Dave.
The Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) said Micromega was fined one million rand – with half of that amount suspended – for not following rules over the purchase of shares to the value of 10 million rands.
The Sterling equivalent of the entire monetary penalty is around £64k.
I spoke to a business journalist in Jo’burg, and he said it was quite an achievement to be fined by the JSE as they are usually rather understanding about folk who bend the rules.
Therefore, it WAS a story and the chap dialling into the conference from London called it entirely correct.
Then again, he was thinking like a journalist and not a Sevco PR flunky.
The relationship with the South African based convicted criminal and the hacks in Glasgow is “too cosy”.
Dear reader this is what happens when a section of the Fourth Estate see themselves as cheerleaders for a person in a position of authority.
That is the antithesis of good journalism.
Then again that’s why you’re probably reading this.

That’s a cracker! Pity the poor newspaper being ordered to actually cover a story! I hope they weren’t too traumatised by the experience! The coverage of the King visit has been truly hilarious. So bad in fact that I believe even Sir David Murray has complained about it… (if I may share…).

I see that the Daily Record are up to their award winning standard of reportage again today.
In an article titled ” Dave King still considering his options over the Ibrox takeover ruling” they state that the decision was the END of the appeals process.
They then quote King saying “I will have to decide if I APPEAL it or not”.
Oh dear!

Exactly why those seeking to have the truth made clear and ‘out in the open’ come here and choose look elsewhere beyond the blue tinted spout that comes to Scotland via the ‘level 5 filter’.
You don’t say much here that the ‘truth seekers’ amongst us who monitor this 5 year circus haven’t gathered for themselves, but having it properly documented / blogged is important and creates yet more much needed discussion and ‘truth seeking’ from the rest of us.
It looks like the lies and sevco-spin are hitting an all-time peak in order to hobble past the season ticket finishing line.

It is all rather tiresome now. Tell the lie, keep repeating it and in time it will be accepted as truth. A bloke named Josef knew this perfectly well and it worked for him. The circumstances around his lies were much more serious than the Glib One and his acolyte s but one should get my drift. These members of the Fourth Estate here really do have contempt for the intelligence of the vast majority of us but I do concede that there are a great number of the followers of the Follow Follow club who are incapable, by accident or design, of thinking rationally about their (new) club’s predicaments. When oh when will that club liquidise again?
Is it possible we have wrongly maligned the POTUS for his supposed observations on the USA media? Would it not make more sense if it transpired that he was actually spending his lonely nights watching STV and reading Scottish newspapers, when he announced to the World that the media is full of ‘Fake News’. Just a thought.
