A few short weeks ago the James Blair, Andrew Dickson and the Serious Professional were in the Square Mile.
Their mission was to either arrange some emergency finance or attract outside investment.
They failed.
However, one of that trio was fully aware of the matters that were published today.
That’s because he was there during the proceedings.
I’m not sure if the other two Quintessentially British chaps were in the loop about the Takeover Panel’s interest in the Holding Company Vehicle.
My information is that the Serious Professional was seething today about this matter.
Today should have been an easy shift.
It should have been all about the wonderful result at Celtic Park yesterday and parading of Poor Pedro to the salivating stenographers.
It should have been all good.
Instead, the news cycle has been captured by this ruling from the Takeover Panel.
The board were informed of the decision this morning by conference call.
It wasn’t a happy atmosphere in the room.
However, all present did remain dignified.
That’s important.
Sevco standards and all that.
I think it is fair to speculate that General Ashley will be taking this one to court as soon as possible.
For the avoidance of doubt, that would have nothing to do with the pending case apropos intellectual property rights, etc.
Yet another legal bill dear reader.
Oh dear.
I just hope that doesn’t eat into Pedro’s transfer budget.
My information is that the Financial Conduct Authority have been deluged with complaints about Rangers International Football Club (RIFC) for some time now.
To say that RIFC is toxic in the Square Mile is a bit like saying that their customer base has a slight image problem.
I understand that Mr David Cunningham King has until April 9th to make an offer.
My earlier figure today of £14m was apparently incomplete.
The additional costs of a prospectus and legal fees will bring the potential cost up to around £16m.
Now my information, from an impeccable source is to expect a boardroom heave against the South African based entrepreneur.
It will be framed within the terms of “in the best interests of the company while this matter is outstanding”.
If this proves to be the last straw for some in the Blue Room, then it shouldn’t come as a surprise.
Perhaps the South African based entrepreneur will stand firm, tough it out and be…err…Churchillian about it.
However, there are some around him who might now see him as a problem.
Has Dave King morphed into Arlene Foster?
Reminder.
As of tomorrow afternoon, I will be gone from this site until further notice.

The Lord Bannatyne ruling of NO RELEGATION AND NO DEMOTION must be sent to UEFA, FIFA and ECA.
Questions must be asked of the SFA and SPFL.
Wednesday, 15 March – STV 6pm News decides not to cover the Lord Bannatyne legal ruling that Rangers FC were not relegated or demoted.
This important news went public at 11.30am, there is zero excuse for not covering the legal finding. Instead several minutes were given over to a celebration of Kris Boyd’s career from Kilmarnock with Grant Russell. How shameful, the SMSM obfuscation and corrupted journalism goes on.
In his entire career at RFC and Killie Boyd only managed one goal against Celtic.
What’s the betting if the legal ruling was that RFC had been relegated it would have taken up all 30 minutes of news with a murder report dropped?
Who is buying sevco shares at 30-40p
Must be club 1872
Hi phil
I wonder if you can give me your rugger guys thoughts on the fact that TGSL is able to refuse to
allow certain shareholders votes to be counted when there has been voting on the allowing of shares to be sold regards res 11 (I think it is ).
I think I heard somewhere that it was the voting rights of the easdales block .
I assume he only does this as he knows that this block will vote against him and the 3 bears ,yet if he knew they would vote for him ,I assume he would allow their vote to be counted .
I know I am not putting this right but if ,as I think there has been shareholders barred from voting ,why are these shareholders not doing something about it .
Did the TAB info deflect from the announcement of Pedro or did Jabba fail?
Does Dodgy Dave fancy a bit of gardening? Maybe Super Salary’s yard crew is hiring …
Sorry, .1888, however, I think you are missing the point.
If king was in concert with other directors then they must also be been in favour of driving share price down at expense of others so what happens to them now
“To say that RIFC is toxic in the square mile is a bit like saying that their customer base has a slight image problem.” Brilliant.
Surely this is all just one big “honest mistake” .
He won’t do walking away ….will he ?
The shareholders don’t and won’t accept 20p a share which is less than the going sale share rate … he won’t need to shell out millions at all
What is the current share price? It’s hard to be sure since they’re not listed on any exchange. BFDJ stated on Radio Clyde tonight that they are presently trading at 39 – 40 pence. My information would suggest that he has possibly misplaced the decimal point. 3.9 – 4 pence is actually closer to the mark.
When can Sevco expect their windfall bonus payment from FIFA for the point they picked up at Paradise yesterday?
For two years Emperor Ming has sent forth Factotums to beg for alms from financial providers of last resort. He failed to tell them they had no chance of finding anything due to his concert party ongoing investigation that the black tie dinner brigade are all well aware of.
No loans were forthcoming in the last two years with this process going on.
Good stuff once again Phil but if an offer to buy the shares is made and then rejected what wld be the next step??
Enjoy the break Sir
