The Sevco High Command receive an evidence based analysis from a decent guy

There were a few notable absences at the regular conclave of the Sevco High Command on Friday.

My information is that the esteemed chairman did not call in from South Africa and that Mr John Gilligan and Mr Paul Murray were also absent from the meeting.

However, the gathering duly proceeded without them.

Among the assembled group comprised Mr Letham, Mr Park Jnr and Mr Taylor

I understand that it was a sombre gathering.

Regular readers will not be surprised to learn that Mr Stewart Robertson was a voice of clear reason in the room.

Moreover, the evidence-based choices that he laid out were rather unpalatable if uncontestable.

My information is that there were no dissenting voices to Robertson’s rationale apropos the current cash flow situation.

I think it is worth noting here that the ex-Motherwell chap is the least highly paid of all of the Chief Executives in Sevco’s short history.

Despite that he probably has the most impressive CV apropos real hands on experience in working the business end of a football club.

He has worked diligently to reduce the cost base where he can.

However, there is only so much he can do under the current circumstances.

The overall financial situation has not gone unnoticed by those who are in the loop at Ibrox.

There are awards to be won if some intrepid stenographer can get Mr Paul Murray to sit down and relate his recent conversations with Mr David Cunningham King.

I’m told that if the magnificently maned factotum is in a revelatory mood, then the reporter might detect an air of resignation in his responses.

  2. This from todays Radar hotline regarding Weir’s statement that even £100 million might not be enought to catch Celtic…..

Mark Reilly, Glasgow , said: “I didn’t like the message Weir was peddling and even though I’m a realist, Rangers need to invest in the team and stop the penny pinching”.

A “realist”, you say Mark. Hmmmm

  4. I guess, reading between the lines, your saying they will squeek by for another month. Fair enough. The daytime TV game show “Tipping point” comes to mind. It can really have you on the edge of your seat at times.

A bit like the ongoing Sevco saga.

Keevins got it the wrong way round, saying “liquidation and administration”

Then, faster than you can say, INSOLVENCY EVENT, Gerry Mac corrected him and said “administration and liquidation”.

I don’t think Gerry could hold back on the impulse to put HK right, however, there is was, the L word uttered twice on C1SSB in a matter of secconds. What’s that old saying about busses?

As his current salary will be well in excess of what the Perth club could pay him then the difference could be set against the money still owed ……..happy days all round.

    • Joe, would show real desperation if they let him return to one of their main competitors half way thru a season. Another Warbler signing failure. The main is clueless as a coach.

Sevco would be better going for the St J;s manager, then again he may not fit the bill.

If any of the creditors had a brain between them they would pursue their claim against Rangers Football Club PLC the court would have to correct the claim and state which club you are refering to as the name you are using is no longer in use .Inform the court that it your believe and according to media experts that the club you gave your money to is in fact the club now named Rangers IL 2012 or something like that.

If you gave credit for items to the Rangers Football Club PLC then you had entered into a contract with the club and plc as both are in the one and same it is in the title, the court would have to correct you and inform you that the pursuit is against a liquidated Club and PLC and you cannot pursue against a liquidation oce it is gone done and dusted.

You would have your answer: i bet the Coral case is sent to trial so that time is used to keep it out the media for a while. No side will argue their point at the diet before proof.

    By April 16

    Sevco could be bust

The Tax Case could be finished

Celtic should and I think will take action to recover the titles that are rightfully ours. Athletes in the Olympics get their Gold medals in the post when cheating occurs and so should Celtic.

No righting them off, no blank spaces, no asterisk, just

    Celtic FC

    In the right place

The facilitators at the SFA chased down , should be sacked/resign and threatened with legal action if they dont.

Celtic should claim loses from the SFA. (Not likely)

We could have won the double and be well on the way to the treble.

I have a stir in my pants !!

What actions will be taken to protect the club and put it on a safe comfortable footing?

Clrearly depositing a two figure millions figure in the bank account guaranteeing the next 18 months would be a great gesture. £10m from the promised £50m? Easy peasy.

DCK needs to look in the mirror and find his conscience.

IMO as regards ‘news’ items,half,50%, of it you can disregard as irrelevant to anything worthwhile.Approx. 20-30% is,as you say, fake news.(LIES)
Leaving 20% that you can/could read/watch and of which,10% of that is sports, and in that there will always be leanings toward one way or another.
So 10% remaining and again, imo, half of that is directed at particular audiences. In Scotland, the dr is aiming squarely at the gullabillies.
You can tell I don’t newspapers, mainly for the reason you give, can you believe what is contained therein. Also all these tv news channels ALL have their own agendas, namely skewing the news the way their owners and shareholders want them to.
You just have to take nearly everything you read or watch with a shovelful of salt.

There’s Joey’s pay day, Level 5’s overdue invoice, the one with the nippy covering letter, is it cash up front for the job of fixing the nets in place and a slow month for income given the winter break.

Just how much is in the coffers at the moment, I wonder.

On the one hand he is saying that it’s time to stop talking b******s regarding the club called The Rangers playing out of Ibrox and at the same time, as Phil has pointed out, he is avoiding the truth by omitting the dreaded “L” word.

Jackson’s bias shows no limits. Scandalous article altogether.
Yes, the effigies were offensive but that can not justify wanton criminal damage to the toilets. I think that was more to do with the humping they got on the day.

As I said on a previous post. if there had been any damage to Ibrox by Celtic fans on Hogmanay then you can bet that Jacko and his DR pals would have plastered that all over their rag.

Why don’t clubs post 2 or 3 policemen inside the toilets and that should deter the vandals. Or what about CCTV?

Tit for tat is not the answer and plaudits to the CFC fans that left candles in the Gers toilets at Hogmanay.

The £35k charged by CFC is a lot of money for the Ibrox club to pay but their idiotic vandal fans have robbed them of that much needed sum.

By the way, a great goal and a winning one by Agent Joey for Burnley at the weekend.

      • A few years ago there were two uniformed officers in the toilets at Celtic Park and they watched as the mob destroyed the place. It was said that they were unable to deal with the numbers at the time, which is unfortunate but understandable.

I’m sure the video will still be available on YouTube.

As someone else has posted, here in JJs site, that an off-duty police officer was also found guilty of destroying the toilets in 2013.

Personally, I would ban Sevco fans from attending any games at Celtic Park.

Very clear and honest article on the BBC Sport website with regard to the LIQUIDATION of the Bradford Bulls rugby league club..
Quote :” The Rugby Football League has agreed a deal that will see a new club set up in Bradford for the start of the season.” “The old Bradford Bulls was liquidated earlier thus month after it’s latest spell in administration after years of financial problems.
At least the BBC in England have honesty and integrity.

Leipzig figures are official as they sold the seats.
6pm stv news stated 8,000 TRFC fans attended, they need challenged on Twitter on that. Where did they get the exaggerated untrue number? Ask STV via twitter.

Old man Weir pushed out after the defeat in front of cameras. Warburton in hiding. Weir states there’s limited investment funds, they must improve slowly as it goes.

Fans need answers from Dave King and Murray. This isn’t acceptable, £50m was promised.

The King and three bears £50m promissory Board lied. They fear empty seats. They deserve empty seats.

You need to bundle them out the door at minimum cost.

King, Murray and Gilligan have their blue nosed heads stuck in the sand. They’re in denial that they are duds.

With both eyes on the blame game, they avoid bad news meetings to later declare they didn’t know it was that bad.

Make sure the three absentees get the minutes of meeting.

On top of it all we now know SevcoTRFC players do not travel well in Europe.

At least enough for a ‘good night out’ at the Louden for all the members of Club Cocobanana, surely?

I wouldn’t give a monkeys usually but it does make me wonder about the dual ownership rule if these two clubs were ever to meet in Euro competition.

    Reply
    • I’ve just read that, in the event of both teams qualifying for Europe, only one club is allowed per owner, so the Red Bull Corporation would have to make a choice between their clubs.

Which leaves Sevco’s slim hope of a Red Bull-coloured Saviour on its arse, given that they already have their Champions League team in Leipzig, and who are currently humping the Govan cowboy outfit 3-0.

      Nae luck again, Sevco!

      • RB Leipzig does not stand for Red Bull. They are owned by a subsidiary company with initials RB. This is Red Bulls MO. Red Bull Create a subsidiary company in order to circumvent the FFP rules.
Not sure where you read the information about one club only getting into Europe, but I understand that this cannot apply because both are subsidiaries of Red Bull.

        • Cheers, Alfie, my research skills aren’t what they once were, and you are correct in your statement.

I read this info on another thread and should indeed have checked it for myself.

However, this does not detract from the fact that Sevco are still up to their necks in all kinds of sticky financial trouble, and for that we will always be grateful.

And that’s also quite a handy get-out clause for Mike Ashley, should he or Sports Direct ever decide to engage in some dual ownership, no ..?

        • Hmm, the German press explicitly refers to them as Red Bull football club, playing in the Red Bull Arena, right here, with no mention of either a subsidiary company nor even Leipzig.

        And my question is this:

When our ‘glorious leaders’ have been found out to be lying time and time over again, how do you discern the truth?

Not one person currently in the sfabomination should be trusted. They too need total renovation, from top to bottom. This, and a periodic democratically elected future board members of the sfa,is the only true and honest way forward.Ridding them of their ties to serfco once and for all.To do nothing is to condone their bias disgraceful actions and blatant rule bending and outright cheating.

The situation will NOT change through the current system, therefor the status quo that we have had till this point, shall remain in place until the fans of ALL CLUBS DEMAND IT to be changed, changed for the betterment of ALL CLUBS.

At present every club is an also ran in the eyes of the sfa, this simply cannot remain so,and by our inaction we condone it.

SFA OUT,investigate all sports journalism(haha) in The Biggest Bigotted Best Wee Country in the World.’Fair Caledonia.’

As for the Truth, here, this site,is what I rely on to be the Truth.Phil has integrity and sources within serfco to keep us updated on our schadenfreude addiction.
Apart from that there are a few,not many sites, where I believe what I’m reading. And we all owe Phil for his perseverance with this fiasco, compared to Scottish media journalists, well, frankly, there is NO comparison.

Thank you Phil,I will make a decent and worthy donation when I return from California in the Spring.

          Reply
          • I know and agree that Phil is the go-to guy for the truth about the comedy club, but my question is asking how do we discern the truth from the daily lies of the world media?

You know, the ones they just spin and spin, with seeming no corroborating evidence or variations in a story whatsoever.

If it feels like it’s being scripted, it’s usually because it is, as every channel had its own little Jabba, often dozens of them, running around bossing the staffers like the Chief Whip.

For the world just never looks the same again when you discover that the ‘media’ is just another weapon used as part of a far greater deception being enacted upon us.

For example, the Apollo 11 crew, Armstrong et al, and countless others, all claimed you could see no stars in space, (which is odd in itself), now the ISS crew awkwardly mumble and bumble about ‘Oh, yes, definitely, we can see stars from space, Whoah, yeah, no doubt about it’,
but they can’t seem to do what anyone else would do, and which ‘Live Feed’ viewers would be enthralled by, and take a camera to the window to show us.

I understand they might not need mobile phones in space but wouldn’t it be easy to just walk to the window with a camera to show the viewers the ‘stars from space’ from the ISS window?

Isn’t that a sight we’d all love to see?

Unfortunately, it seems that no one in the 50 year history of space travel has ever done such a thing, as such footage appears to have been ‘lost’, like the first Moon mission’s telemetry data, in the sands of time.

Thing is, if they’ll lie about this, what else are they lying about it?
