It was a reassuring moment last night when I heard the chimes of Statement O’clock.

Bless…
It was undoubtedly true that Celtic had endured a week of disruption going into the match at Hampden.
For once, the instability wasn’t where it usually resides in Glasgow.
Consequently, the Ibrox klanbase was enthused with that most dangerous of substances.
Hope.
When young Callum Osmand slid in to score Celtic’s third goal, the Dunkirk Spirit was already in evidence at the other end of the national stadium.
After the hope came grief.
In the five stages of Sevco, they couldn’t deny that they were out of the competition.
The next stage is indicated in the featured image.
In fairness, they do anger really well.
Now some of the poor dears are at the bargaining phase, where they claim it was the decisions/non-decisions of the match officials and the VAR chaps that did for them.
The club statement helps to soothe their klanbase.
However, it merely reinforces their delusions.
The Sevco Review sought the sage counsel of the Rev Mike McCurry to give his expert view on the REAL reason why the Ibrox outfit were out of the cup.
Nice touch, the Parachute Regiment lapel badge.
Lest we forget.
On messageboard land, they were full-on conspiracy theorists.
Here is one from the suggestion box:

It didn’t get any better.

It really didn’t.

I’m pretty sure he is referring to this Hugh Dallas.
Then this chap suggested the need for some covert operation.

This is starting to worryingly resemble dissociation from reality.
It is good practice 101 for all mental health professionals that one should never collude with a person’s delusions.
In that sense, the statement doesn’t help a customer base that is very publicly losing it.

The officials are not the reason for another derby defeat, their substandard team is.The Delusion of the Sevco support is something else….. Kinda like the newco football team they support & claim is something else & the flags of a FINISHED union 📉🇬🇧 they worship that is on its way out. 🏴☮️ Demented Zombies sounds about right
Didn’t Rangers fans once mock Celtic as ‘always cheated, never defeated’? Seems pretty accurate for them now.
“Unsatisfied” ? That’s not even a word. Clearly no AI usd inthis statement!
They had years of being given decisions before VAR came in. Even still they got away with a few on Sunday. They can’t handle a level(let) playing field.
When you’re used to privilege, equality can feel like oppression.
Thanks to Allan Morrison and the Yorkshire Whistler we are seeing the outcome of a more level playing field. Unfortunately, the sevcowhine decibel levels appear to have an increasing correlation, wonder what is causing it?
They went two years in Scotland without conceding a penalty before VAR came into play.
Jane’s Tavpen became one of their most successful goalscorers in that period operating from right back.
This followed a 50 game run again without conceding a penalty.
Self awareness has never been a strong point.
Maeda was onside on closer inspection all down to the choice of frame by VAR
Cornelius ticked every single box when it comes to a straight red tackle on Kenny ,Diomande meanwhile had a sly dog at Kenny on the deck after the challenge.
On the penalty decision?
Miovski fouls McGregor outside the box as he is about to clear with a header as a result the ball drops to the feet of a Rangers player who then passes across the box where Miovski has again fouled Ralston who in an attempt to block the shot pulls his arms into his body and the ball hits an elbow and as if that isn’t enough Scales who has by this point come in shins to block the shot is t even factored into it?
So two fouls in the build up ignored ,Ralstons visible attempt to make his body a natural shape and a covering defenders position all ignored to come to a decision that doesn’t come into line with handball in the box rulings to give it.
Resulting in Tavpen increasing his goal rate from the spot yet again.
By the time we get to the Trusty incident we should be two goals and two players to the good and cruising to another Demolition Derby.
Trusty should walk in my opinion as stupidity is never an excuse but even more so as an experienced International defender.
There are numerous other incidents where the officiating was let’s say was less than perfect butto suggest it was heavily bias in our favour is actually ridiculous given all of the above.
There was a penalty claim on Hatate with a defender leading with his elbow wasn’t even reviewed.
Utter nonsense from this entity as per usual.
This halfwit just said “For me it’s a straight red card” and then 90 seconds later says “If I was refereeing I’d have asked VAR to let me take a second look at it”….. Whit ???????
HH
And all this over a game where they were awarded a highly questionable penalty and Celtic had a goal disallowed on a microbawhair offside decision that Premier TV decided wasn’t worth a replay or talking point either at half time or full time. They are mental.
To be honest there were a lot of dodgy decisions in the game on Sunday.
Some of them went against the rangers, and some of them went against Celtic.
Over the piece, even allowing for all the honest mistakes, only one team was winning that game.
It needed a very dodgy penalty for the rangers to equalise in normal time, but Celtic went on to underline their superiority in extra time. A good dose of reality and less of the deludamol wouldn’t go amiss at the rangers.
Did Alan Morrison no’ already do this work for them?!
He did indeed.
What a larf………………….
“The club has consistently raised issues as they have occurred with the Scottish FA, but we do not feel there has been enough change in how refereeing is being developed at the highest level.”
Consistently raised issues? Funny they never raised issues when they got a late penalty when they needed a draw or win. Strange they never raised any issues when they were allowed to keep the tainted trophies ‘won’ during their financial doping era.
“We understand and share the anger among our supporters, who have grown frustrated at the repeated inconsistencies in major match decisions that continue to affect the club.”
They’re not inciting their fans to vent their anger, surely?
They had Andrew Dallas on VAR come on lads what more do you want the ex prince Andrew as the ref 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
they also had Steven Mclean on var to help him, also the tackle Cornelius did on Kenny why did var not intervene and send him off he was out of control and wreck less
It was probably also “refereeing Inconsistency” that caused Rangers to lose to Brugge twice (1-9 aggregate), Sturm Graz, Genk, Brann & Hearts. “Refereeing inconsistency” was also to blame for the dropped points against St Mirren, Motherwell, Falkirk, Dundee & Dundee Utd. However, there were no complaints from Rangers following their wins against Alloa, Livingston, Hibs & Kilmarnock so we must assume that the referees did a good job in these matches.
