Well, it’s that time of year again.
I’m grieving the passing of the long summer evenings here in Dún na nGall.
Outside, the leaves on the tree beside my hillside stream are turning brown.
They’ve started to fall, and soon the branches will be completely bare, and winter will be here.
Several weeks from now, I will have daily interaction with a light box, a present from my trio some years ago.
There are also other seasonal changes that are noticeable as summer recedes into the rear view mirror.
This is the time of year when, in keeping with ancient traditions established in 2012, Sevco usually sack their annual manager.

So, farewell to the Enlightened One.
As regular readers will know, dispensing with the services of the Ibrox bodhisattva will have significant implications for the budgets under the control of Paddy Stewart.
It is worth reminding that with the Delaware Crew, it’s all about the dollars.
Always the dollars.
Even some of the Ibrox klanabse are starting to wonder about the new owners.

However, the hubristic idiocy of the featured image is the default setting for those who have season tickets at the stadium Mr John Brown played for.
No matter who is appointed to replace the Enlightened One, the FNG will be welcomed with the usual snarling nativist triumphalism that masks the deep cultural insecurity of the Ibrox klanbase.
Now, if anyone in the Stenography Corps wants to try their hand at journalism before an algorithm takes them out, then they should follow follow the dollars.
I have already published the broad outline of Martin’s likely service package.
Quite simply, this was not budgeted for when this season commenced.
Consequently, will Paddy Stewart have to cover any shortfall with austerity measures?
The smart money would be on some January sales to keep the spreadsheets in order.
Will the anticipated departure of Raskin in early 2026 pay for the cost of the sackings?
New money from across the Pond would be a major break in the initial plan laid down only months ago.
Remember, dear reader, it’s about the dollars.
Always the dollars.

Look at any rangers forums or podcasts and the levels of entitlement and delusion are unbelievable. Whoever takes the gig has it all to do in terms of appeasing the Klanbase.
Saying that, the powers that be at Celtic are doing a pretty good job of giving them a chance to close the gap which is worrying.
The dogs are barking but the caravan of madness keeps rolling along ,
All hail the knuckle bleeding people as they march behind a sea of bitter orange
It’s no coincidence (despite Celtic’s failings) that the one time this young Club won the League was when their toxic fanbase was not allowed into matches.
I disagree on the chorus, surely Queen’s “Another One Bites the Dust” is perfect?
L’Mor by Tribute Band The Dollars
Haw l’amour now I’m seething at you
Mon amour whitsa bear in the woods supposed tae do
Looking fur wan we wur looking fur three
Always reaching for top we were too blind to see
Oh love of my heart why now leave me alone
We’re falling apart the results have shown
Haw l’amour broke my hert now I’m sad n blue
Mon amour what’s a ber in distress supposed tae do?
You’ve throw it away noo ye walk oot on me
We just live for the days like they used tae be
There wiz wance a time when we had a good side
Then Minty n Craig took us for a ride
The emoshonul ties then the change of the name
We laid down and died and hud no one to blame
Oh love of my hert it’s now up tae you
Youve tore me apart as the air noo turns blue
The emoshonul cries under our new name
As we lay down and died nabeday left tae blame
Oh love of my life it’s now up to you
Saved by the dollar from the red white and blue
Actually, for the kuckle-draggers, it’s about the dolours.
*knuckle 🤦🏻♂️
Whoever comes in will be under the same pressure as those gone before him, Rangers fans don’t have the patience for a rebuild it’s all about instant success and trophies and that desperation is what allows the same outcome for each manager who takes the poisoned chalice, the sense of entitlement from their support is unreal and for some of them to think McInnes would leave high flying Hearts for them after knocking them back when doing well at Aberdeen or Lampard would leave Coventry whilst sitting top of the Championship in England shows these people don’t live in the real world.
So they want people in charge that are part of their traditions
They Klan are stuck in a different era
When the rest of the world has moved on .
The new owners won’t care about their traditions
It’s all about the dollars .
The Klan stupidly expected millions to be poured into the club and Red Bull to sponsor shirts
The faceless people who occupy the office in Delaware will want a return on their investment..
The klan can protest but the investors have no vested interest in their sectarian traits or idiots lying down trying to to stop team bus
They will want a return on their investment and hold all the aces
Having guided Southampton to relegation from the EPL and narrowly avoided them having the worst record in the EPL by 1 point, we all knew that Russell Martin would be a perfect fit at ibroke. However, no one could have predicted that his demise would have been so swift.
While I can’t see The Ran*ers being relegated, the new chorus should be “Simply the Tenth”
Hail and Hail again!
11th place, what a special memory from the relegation delegation.
Bring back the Murty.
Will be interesting to see who steps up to sip from the Losing(sic)Cup now. A demoralised squad , an angry impatient fan base , an empty transfer hamper and a board room thousands of miles away. On the plus side it could be 3 years wages for 6 months work
Manager payouts are difficult to predict. Within the last 24 hours, both Mourinho and Postecoglu have both mentioned that they’ve effectively lost money by returning to work, rather than waiting out their contract period sat on their couch.
They lucked out that Beale ran to Sunderland so soon after being fired, but Van Bronckhorst sat out 18 months, and Clement is happily sitting out his contract so far at least.
Mr Martin has bombed so spectacularly that its tough to see any decent sized club giving him a chance any time soon. Its surprising that Rangers gave him the opportunity with how badly he bombed in the PL with Southampton too. I would think even if he does get interest from a club, their willingness to come close to what Rangers were paying him is next to nil. So based on that, I can see a very good chance he sits out what will probably be his last big management contract.
They can’t say they weren’t warned. Tee hee hee. HH
