Apparently, tomorrow the dynamic Delaware Duo will be in the stadium that John Brown played for.
The contrast between how they see the Rangers project progressing and the aspirations of the Ibrox klanbase couldn’t be starker.
Russell Martin was brought in for a turnaround project on a budget.

His first task was to assess the squad and, if possible, let go of the high earners who are on legacy contracts.
On the pitch, he should achieve Europa League Group Stage participation and come a solid second in the SPFL.
Now, the first one is a tick; the other one is far too early to say, considering it’s August.
Paddy Stewart has his own, to an extent, connected KPIs, which aim to drive down costs across the board in Year One.
Obviously, player salaries are a huge part of that.
If the Sevco CEO does decide to dismiss young Master Martin, then he knows that the cost of that will have to come out of his existing budget for this year.
It’s all about sustainability.
For the avoidance of doubt, this isn’t what the poor dears at Ibrox were hoping for.
They had dreams of largesse from across the Pond.
Regular readers may recall that your humble correspondent did style these new owners as “American Ashleys”.
Therefore, it was pleasing to see this heroically anonymous chap finally realise that these Stateside guys are not benefactors.

If the Delaware Duo come face to face with angry bears tomorrow, they might be forgiven for thinking they’ve teleported onto the Appalachian Trail…
Given the binfire that is the Celtic recruitment fiasco, it is difficult to discern which side of the city is suffering from a greater malaise at present.
One thing is a constant, though, with the Yanks it’s the dollars.

The applachian trail would that be a walk in the woods with the sound of banjos as an introduction 🤠
I’m taking no satisfaction from this as it means we will continue to downsize too.
As they have rehearsed at Leeds
But, but, but the 76ers takeover was going to make Rangers the richest club in Britain. A domestic treble was guaranteed along with the Champions League, the World Club Championship, the University Boat Race and the Eurovision Song Contest. What has gone wrong, cough, gulp, splutter, phart?
They always follow follow the money
Maybe the downsizing over iBrox way perfectly explains the managed decline at CP…. if your undeclared business plan really is simply to stay a couple of steps ahead of the backward hillbillies over the road, there is hardly any point in tooling up to take the team to ‘the next level’.
Two dreadful teams, with one dreadful manager, and the other manager having lost his way pretty much on time with how its gone for him at his previous clubs. The lack of investment in the squad for Celtic is concerning, but perhaps its recognition that the board considers no matter who they sign, they’re only stagnating or going backwards with the way things are going. Why they wouldn’t ease Rodgers out in that scenario I don’t know. Perhaps just recognition that they’re likely good enough to win the league and maybe at least one of the cups again, and can spend the season concentrating on figuring out who the next manager will be.
