Regular readers will be well aware that it is always wise to follow follow the money at Ibrox.
In terms of a PR strategy, today’s offering comes under the “we need to get in front of this”.

The Sevco High Command should be eternally grateful that there is zero journalistic scrutiny of what goes on at the top of the marble staircase.
It has ever been thus.
Now, if you think there isn’t something behind this decision to break cover and that all is well, keep taking the tabloids.
That said, the mood in the Blue Room isn’t entirely sanguine at the moment, given the pressing need in January to shift a couple of high-earning players.
Of course, that didn’t happen.
Consequently, I’m told to expect two confetti offerings BEFORE the season ticket money starts to come in.
One well-placed source had advised me back in November that the Sevco High Command had the promise of a £10m boost from investors if they were in touching distance of Celtic at the turn of the year.
Well, they certainly are, and that’s mainly thanks to the Parkhead outfit and their work experience recruitment team.
The basket of assets certainly has an Old Firm friend at Nepotism FC.

In the land of corporate KPIs, why Lawwell Jnr hasn’t been shown the door remains a mystery.
It is little wonder that Brendan looks peeved in pressers.
Well, he certainly does to me.
Across the city, dear Philippe should be a blissful Belgian.
Well, not exactly.
Today, I learned that he had two of his fellow citizens as guests at a recent home game.
Let’s say that the cultural offerings from the Ibrox klanbase were not to their liking.
One wonders what Philippe really thinks of the strange subculture that he has stepped into.
For the avoidance of doubt, what passes for normal in Fair Caledonia and the northeast of my own country isn’t.
In Belgium, they have taken on board the main lessons of the Peace of Westphalia, 1648 rather than 1690.

It is probably up to the Sfa to pass on any concerns they may have to Uefa. That is never gonna happen.
Apparently in todays BBC Scottish fitba Gossip section we are told that Sevco “financial chief” James Taylor has explained that the Scottish Premiership club found their name on a list of 19 clubs back in 2022 who were being monitored by European governing body Uefa to ensure they were compliant with financial regulations because of an accounting adjustment that was “well within the rules”.
The rules for whom I wonder?
Does FSR (formerly FFP ) apply in Govan?
If R2ngers are on a FSR watchlist and can still increase payroll and get players on loan, with a clause to convert to full transfer, then surely they’re sailing close to FSR investigations.
Confetti money isnt footballing income and to me shows that they couldnt recruit in the transfer window.
So are UEFA’s FSR worth the bother?
Sevco must be desperate to win the league, so much so the refs seem to be willing to blatantly cheat despite the scrutiny of VAR and TV replays.
Something is truly rotten in the state of Govan.
Failing to get rid of 2 high earners then adding an even higher earning Fabio Silva to the wage bill is another genius move when worried about FFP implications
Ibrox fiddlers society. it’s coming, all the bottles are in a row.
I cant understand why the ffp are not all over them
You know Phil I’ve always felt that any incumbent for the managerial throne at Mordor should undertake an exercise in DUE DILIGENCE before ascending the marble staircase.😎🤔🤡🤣
