I spoke with a well-placed source this morning who told me that the chaps in the Blue Room want Mr Beale gone.
Moreover, the briefing against him had already started.
Given the integrity of the source, I did believe what I was being told.
When I watched the presser, I really believed it!
The usual succulent shite was not in evidence.
Indeed, it is strange to hear a manager at Ibrox being repeatedly asked difficult questions.
The preferred option for the Sevco High Command is that Mickey decides to Do Walking Away.
That would be the financially pleasing option for the brethren in the Blue Room.
I think it’s fair to say that he is currently in the Sevco job on a game-by-game basis at the moment.
His KPI from now until the end of the year is to have a perfect record in Scotland, essentially winning every game domestically.
My understanding is that Mr Derek McInnes is the preferred successor.
Certainly, the Transcendental Chairman is a huge fan.
The Kilmarnock manager ticks all the essential boxes regarding Unsurpassed Dignity.

However, there is a concomitant issue that he knows he would be required to succeed against a rival with substantially greater resources.
In that important sense, nothing much has changed since December 2017.
Meanwhile, we should all pray for Mickey.

Has Dave Jetted in yet? He must be missing his face in the papers surely?
Best not to support that rancid rag (The Record) financially banteryears and just pick it up on a bus if you do want your schadenfreude re Micky Beale…
But no doubt these publishers of a mixture of downright lies and fairy stories will always find a positive about Micky and Sevco –
I wonder when the next audit for daily circulation figures is due…
Hopefully they’ll be nearer to their plot in The Newspaper Cemetery to forever rot beside Murray’s failed Sunday rag venture of decades ago !
Can we please stop telling the truth about Beale. Let’s just praise him and hope that he remains at Ipox for many years, making Brendon’s job a lot easier. With him at the helm, we should be collecting many more titles and cups. The last thing we should wish for is him being replaced by a competent football manager.
Does anyone think that McInnes can deliver the out-performance that Rangers need to compete for honours with Celtic?
His record against Celtic is pretty ropey (7 wins, 2 draws and 40 defeats according to TransferMarkt, giving an average of 0.47 points per game). You wonder how much belief he would have that his Rangers team would come out on top.
He clearly doesn’t believe in the Second Prize FC project. If he did, he would’ve accepted the job offer last time.
Pray that Mr B doesn’t leave
Penny for his foughts
I have listened to Mr Beale on a few occasions and it’s as if he is reading the last chapter he read out of the SFA / EPL coaching manual. I have never heard so much drivel in my life from this guy…also to one of my customers who was shouting his mouth off, how his team was gonna run riot this year and said not a word 2 days after the Ibrox beating by the hoops when I met him…you know who you are
He IS EVERY Sevconian I know. Slaughtered! Pumped! Hammered! Leathered!! That’s what was going to happen to us right up until the end of the PSV game! The brakes went on a wee bit after that. By Kickoff at Ibrox the more savvy among them were keeping their mouths shut and looking a tad uneasy. By the end of the match they had ALL found their voices again and poor Mickey B was getting both barrels.
It’s probably unfortunate for him that the international break came immediately after that game. The open sore that is a home defeat to the true and glorious champions, has had two weeks to fester. Mind you if they’d played last weekend and lost, poor Michael would already be history. As I’m fairly sure he will be if they lose this weekend……. whatever the financial cost to???? somebody!!
Re forcing him out, on the Daily Record sports hotline today they want him out now. Some recon he’ll be gone at 2.30 tomorrow if he doesn’t get the right result.
I don’t ask for much , I really don’t . If MC Innes was to get the job ,I would be on the highest cloud available …he is the biggest fraud in world football . No one comes close .
Beale does.
He’s even more of a fraud than poor Pedro, whose dog chasing caravans now read like epic Marquezian poetry compared to Mick’s explosively effusive barrow boy blabber.
No class.
Fair enough, the risky option of appointing a rookie [cheap] manager has backfired.
If they want him gone, they could put him on gardening leave until November, when
presumably, a contract break clause can be triggered by the Blue Room?
But, to have a relatively young and inexperienced manager to be crucified
in the SMSM just to save the Blue Room some cash?
That’s just nasty.
It was the prior Blue Room occupants who appointed Beale,
and it is the current Blue Rom occupants who decided to – effectively – make
Beale the Acting Sporting Director, on top of his manager duties.
Wilson left in April: Bennett and Bisgrove do carry some responsibility for Beale’s
current predicament, IMO.
And where is Dave King…? 🙂
Those 13-odd minutes nearly put me asleep; he is a bore. I haven’t heard Sevco journalists hitting him with forthright questions before. I don’t care about this shit show of a bigotry club. Let’s hope Celtic go on a fantastic run and leave the rest behind.
Kieran, our one and only rival has won two trophies since they came into being in 2012, Celtic have won almost everything else, if that doesn’t constitute an already “ fantastic run”, I am at a loss as to what does.
Since 2012 St Johnstone have won 3 trophies- so they are bigger rivals trophy wise to Celtic.
Difference is St Johnstone are not part of ‘Old Firm’ so beloved by media, Rangers, Celtic board and I am afraid to say a significant section of Celtic support.
Imagine paying 3.5m to get rid of Beale and another 1m compo to Killie just to end up with McInnes.
The £3.5m figure I have reported is based on Mr Beale and the backroom staff that he brought in going as a group.
I think they’ll be looked at as a job lot, all tarred with the same failure brush. I really can’t see ANYONE Mickey B brought in, getting even an interim job as manager. It’ll be one out, all out. Besides, whoever comes in, he’ll want his own men around him.
‘Distress call for Mr McMurty!’
We heard last season that Beale had Ange’s number. Maybe he should give him a ring.
Belter mate 😂
