Why Mr Beale is the perfect manager for the Blue Room

Another day and another acquisition for Celtic.

I would not be surprised if at least another TWO signings arrive during the January window.

Unlike the heyday of Lawwellball, these players have been approved by the manager.

Moreover, it is no last-day brinkmanship nonsense.

If the players are available and agreeable, then they’ll arrive at Lennoxtown to suit Ange’s schedule.

Across the city, the Sevco High Command needs to manage expectations.

It is very much a case of follow follow the money.

Now, it is a published fact that the ten-year-old club is currently on a UEFA watchlist for Financial Fair Play (FFP).

The new ordinances, the Financial Sustainability Regulations(FSR), are even tighter than FFP.

In his final few pressers as Sevco manager, Mr Giovanni was seriously off message for the Blue Room collective.

He transgressed with the truth.

Quite simply, there were not millions resting in any account belonging to Sevco.

I learned today that there was a dignified conclave after the second match against PSV.

Sevco’s likeable Dutch manager was discussed, and the only item on the agenda was whether or not he could be brought back on message.

It was decided that if he couldn’t, then he had to go.

Obviously, the poor run of results also contributed to his departure.

However, his propensity to speak the unvarnished truth in pressers about the club’s financial situation WAS a significant issue for the Blue Room brethren.

The Sevco High Command could not afford their manager telling the assembled ranks of stenographers that they couldn’t spend significant sums on new players.

Now, as Celtic strength in this window, the Ibrox klanbase wants to know if there will be a response.

Fortunately, in Mr Beale, the Sevco High Command have the perfect manager.

Unlike his more experienced predecessor, the QPR legend is firmly on message.

Indeed, the brethren in the Blue Room are delighted with his performance in front of the camera, and today was no different.

When you hear Mr Beale speaking, he is being a faithful conduit for the collective voice of the Sevco High Command.

For example, I’m told that his decision for his charges to be suited and booted on match days had a Stateside provenance.

What is essential in Q1 of 2023 is a hopeful narrative for the Ibrox klanbase.

The season ticket renewals depend on it.

A positive result on Monday, by hook or by VAR, will significantly assist that process.

Of course, Ange is unlikely to be in a seasonally benevolent mood when he visits the stadium where one of his staff was assaulted last April.

Lest we forget.

  1. Come on bhoys let’s put them back in their box tomorrow with a comfy victory.
Cue fan base turning on Beale and the Ibrox board with only the 2 cup trophies to look forward to.
Failure to secure one of which will put the former QPR boss under a pressure of which he will never have experienced before.

  2. Recently some rag published Michael Beale’s record against Celt and it is this.
    Played 13 Won 8 Drawn 1 lost 4.
I still can’t get my head round it even though someone pointed out it was mainly under Lennon’s tenure. Ange and Rogers are both in there in the negative.
Someone should point out to the players that Rangers may be dead but Sevco are alive and kicking!

  3. We are, by far, a better team than sevco but VAR will probably be the hurdle that we will have to leap to win.

Have a Guid New Year a’body. HH

  4. Best case scenario for sevco;
they win the derby game, and then bring in a couple of loanees / Bosmans.
The SMSM will talk up Beale & his squad: the bears will be happy.

    Worst case scenario for sevco;
they lose the derby game, at home.
The SMSM will dig up / create anything negative about CFC, as a useful distraction.
The bears start frothing at the mouth because Beale can’t BUY one decent player.
The Blue Room occupants will start sweating…

With so much at stake, yes, there could be a few more VAR ‘inconsistencies’ in this game.
    😦

    • Totally agree Dinger….Someone somewhere must have proof that we were complicit in previous skullduggery…and therefore holds us to ransom…I can think of no other reason for our silence on this… and many other similar scenarios….Totally disgraceful.

      • Celtic have benefited from the rules being applied in European competitions where we were awarded a 3/0 win because an ineligible player was fielded in the last 10 minutes during a game where we were being thrashed. The same fate repeatedly befell teams here in cup ties, sometimes for something so trivial as errors in team sheets. Yet Rangers went through over a decade of cheating (if they had a properly registered player during this period can anybody name him?) and get to keep all the stolen titles and trophies? Is it me that’s daft? Every game during this time should’ve been a 3/0 defeat. Why hasn’t there been pressure for title stripping? In any other sport (or maybe any other incorruptible country) we wouldn’t have the ridiculous spectacle of a 10 year old entity celebrating 55 league titles – several of which have been proven to have purloined in the first place!
