For the day that’s in it.
In a way far too scripted for a novel, what started on Saint Valentine’s Day was concluded on Halloween ten years ago today.
Since then, the Fitba Fourth Estate has been playing its shameful role as shills in an Orwellian lie.
I am, of course, referring to the death of Rangers in 2012.
When the CVA was rejected in June of that year, the historical import of that event was not lost on the news desks.
It was over for THAT Ibrox club.

However, it was necessary for the Old Firm Pound to be resuscitated.
So in stepped Charlie and the boys, including a chap on Interpol’s most wanted list.

All fit and proper, of course.
Now try and get that storyline in your novel past a book editor!
Since Sevco Scotland Limited bought the body parts from old Rangers, it has been a shitshow of onerous contracts and emergency finance at Ibrox.
They have been helped by the fact that there has been close to zero journalistic scrutiny of their shady operation.
The Sevco High Command were also assisted from across the city by a CEO who was a true believer in the Old Firm.
It is fitting that I am writing these words in the city where it all started.

That day in May 1967 inflicted a psychic wound on the Ibrox klanbase that never healed.
Even through the dark days in the early 1990s, that iconic image of Cesar lifting the Big Cup in Stadio Nacional was a reminder of immortal times.
When Rangers failed to land Ten In A Row, the only thing left for David Murray was to deliver European glory to match that already achieved by Celtic.
From 1998 until 2001, he allowed Dick Advocaat to effectively bankrupt the Ibrox club.
By then, the EBT decade had commenced and that finally played out ten years ago today.
The featured image is the death certificate which proves that the Stenography Corps are in the shameful shilling business.
Despite their pishful thinking, they cannot alter the facts on the ground.
Now, anyone managing the new Rangers will have to contend with city rivals who have a significantly larger football budget.
Moreover, the Parkhead club maintains that on a SUSTAINABLE basis.
Dear reader, that will be a key concept going forward in European football.
Meanwhile, Celtic are quietly going about building the Postecoglou Project.
Yuki Kobayashi certainly fits the person spec for Ange.

As regular readers will know, I have been told to expect FOUR first-team recruits in the January window.
I understand that these players have already been identified, and some of the deals are well-advanced.
Lawwellball is dead.
Celtic now go about their business to improve the fortunes of the football department on the say-so of the manager.
It was never always like that.
Across the city, Giovanni has bought himself some time with a convincing win over the Dons.
Despite that, he probably remains only one bad domestic result away from the precipice.
If my information is correct, then some within the Sevco High Command have already been putting out feelers for a replacement.
I’ve heard that Kevin Muscat was approached and refused to countenance a return to the stadium that John Brown played for.
It wouldn’t be a smart move as his countryman across the city is in a much better place apropos resources.
Now it looks as though I have brought the Donegal aimsir with me to Lisboa.
Sure, it’s only water.
The Web Summit is an Irish success story that now has a new home in my favourite European city.

Wednesday is the main event for me.
Some real top-quality speakers.

Have a great week.

The featured image says it all really, Liquidation happened and I recall the Sky Sports ticker tape that day saying the exact same as were many newspaper sports sections the following day for example so the well worn denial doesn’t wash , Yes it happened and they can quote all they like that it wasn’t the club but the “engine room subsidiary” or “holding company” that was liquidated but nope…It was Rangers Football Club.
Shameful that BBC Sports Scotland ran a story with a video clip showing their “150 years history” and that the rest of the stenography corps play along with the myth and are allowed to do so unchallenged.
Some still have an alternative view of what happened back in 2012
Reading in todays Herald there is an article regards a new book whereby the author has the football club as the victims
No laughing at the back
The book would not look out of place in the fantasy section of the local bookstore .
