This blast from the past dropped into my inbox this morning from a buddy who surveils the goings on in the Square Mile.
I know that he has been following this story for a long time.
Regular readers will immediately spot the name of Mr Aidan Earley.

He of Banstead Athheltic fame was a close associate of the Suave Billionaire and was a witness at Whyte’s trial in 2017.

Mr Earley has been charged with two counts of fraudulent trading and one of acting in contravention of a disqualification order, contrary to section 13 of the Companies Directors Disqualification Act 1986.
Obviously, he has the presumption of innocence in this serious legal matter.
Mr Earley and his three co-accused gave no indication of plea and were each released on unconditional bail.
The case is now transferred to Southwark crown court on November 17.
I bring this matter to your attention because it is a reminder of those days in 2011 when the Stenography Corps were casting a Nelsonian Eye on the goings on at Ibrox.
My contention back then was that there was a huge story brewing at Rangers.
Moreover, the new owner Mr Whyte was not the billionaire benefactor that the local media had gushed about.
