A sad verdict on this species is the popularity of shout shows.
The emotional pornography of sad lives being dissected on air has produced stellar ratings.
The success of Jerry Springer in the USA spawned many others.

In the UK, it was Jeremy Kyle.
At the start of every episode, some person would be in the chair with writing underneath them explaining their problem.
That was the script for the delightful Jeremy.
He would relentlessly drill down into the pain until the burly security guys would have to move in and separate the angry, the heartbroken and the betrayed.
Eventually, what a judge called “bear baiting” ended in tragedy, and the show was taken off the air.
Indeed, Planet Fitba could have an equivalent.
After all, there is no shortage of betrayed bears.
In the episode this week, it could be little Gio in the seat with the writing underneath him.
It might say:
“They sold my best three players from under me, and now I’m getting the blame from them!”
Off stage would be three members of the Sevco High Command (I know their identities) who recently had a go at the diminutive Dutchman.
They called him out for the bad results.
He bridled at the injustice of it all.
In fairness, his colleague Roy Makaay backed him up.
And how!
Rud eile amháin
I reckon that if you find Jeremy Kyle calling you out, then you just might have done something good.
Just sayin…

The involvement of Michael Kelly in the clip just authorises what I was signing about him outside Celtic Park on that historic night in March 1994!
I can certainly think of some writing I put under his face.
If that’s your thing, dear reader, then here is some more triggered gammon for you.

The foregoing should not be taken to mean that people in Britain, or anywhere else, should not be sad about the passing of Elizabeth Saxe-Coburg-Gotha.
The thing is that the grief should not be enforced, either by the state or wider society.

As ever, Celtic’s main guy handled the hostile local media with the same calm aplomb as he handles the opposition in the SPFL.

Flawless.
By happenstance, I spoke yesterday with Rugger Guy.
He called me, which was unusual as I normally contact him.
Therefore, I was surprised to hear from my scrum-half buddy.
Firstly, I offered my condolences for this loss as I know that he is a big royalist fella.
He thanked me but said the reason for calling was that he thought he had some information that would be of interest to me.
So I asked him for the scéal.
He told me that Castore is now the kit supplier of his beloved Harlequins.
Apparently, the gear for the team was delivered in Sports Direct vans.

Well now…

Bring back the Jeremy Kyle show. First on the Royal Family.
I don’t understand the Rangers/ Castore / Sports Direct deal. Have they been tied up so much that they can only exit it if Mike Ashley lets them? Coukd the matching deal last forever?
hi Phil, hope you are well . I’ve got problems with some of the Green Brigade ‘activity’ around the mourning of the Queen . But firstly , I would like to explain what I believe is relevent background to my thinking ? ; The Queen did visit the Garden of Remembrance in Dublin to pay her respect to those who gave up their lives opposing the British ‘presence’ in the island of Ireland . She also visited Croke Park to pay her respect to those who were murdered by the Black and Tans (please see links ?). She had also made speech(s) expressing regret and at least by implication acknowledging the wrongs done to the Irish people by Britain . She lost her second cousin , Lord Mountbatten to the ‘conflict’ . I am an anti-colonialist and consistent with this , I am completely opposed to the continuing ‘presence’ of the British State anywhere in the island of Ireland . All my people came from Ireland and my Fathers family were almost certainly economic refugees as a result of An Gorta Mor . But surely we can find it within ourselves to acknowledge that the Queen has shown considerable courage in the above actions ? And consistent with the respect that she has shown ‘our’ dead surely ‘we’ should show her respect , in her death by not displaying the type of banner we have seen and by observing the minutes silence at Love Street tomorrow ? It should also be remembered that Ange has also called for respect to be paid (please see link ?) I am a season-ticket holder at Celtic Park and happily acknowledge that the Green Brigade have brought an originality and cutting edge in their support for the team (honestly the display by the GB last season before the 3-0 game against Rangers was like something from Apocalypse Now !!!) but I do think that they have not really thought this through and to repeat , I would respectfully appeal to them to return the respect that the Queen has shown ‘our’ dead by observing the minutes silence and not showing offensive banners at Love Street tomorrow . I have tried (unsuccessfully) to access the Green Brigade facebook page to make these points .

Modern technology gave us an option, and the best part of that technology, a simple on and off button. Choices!
Regardless of what you think of the monarchy it’s difficult to defend the banners on display by those Celtic fans in Poland. I am not a particular fan of the concept of the Royal Family but I have to concede that that lady has been a wonderful ambassador for our country. There is a time and place to express your views but this wasn’t the time. That display of banners did huge damage to Celtic FC and its fans. I am embarrassed!
Kyle and Whale are media low-life who started low and are sliding into obscurity. Best ignored as they are by most people. I’m disgusted by the wall-to-wall sycophancy by the media, the attacks on free speech and the ridiculous over-reaction by companies and others as they trip over themselves in the rush to close on the 19th.
But I was also disgusted by the Green Brigade’s puerile banners in Warsaw. They knew these had to result in fines and even potentially a ground closure. All for a pair of juvenile statements. I’m disgusted because here was a prime opportunity to say something weighty and focused. Even something as simple as “CITIZENS NOT SUBJECTS” would have triggered those desperate to be upset by anything less than 100% submissive and loyal. But the best the Green Brigade had was “FUCK THE CROWN”. And we know that will have involved a protracted argument to shift it from “FUCK THE QUEEN”.
Not my King but neither is the Green Brigade my Celtic.
Just for context, my mother’s cousin was shot, aged 20, in an ambush on his way to Mass in Co. Tipperary 100 yrs ago today. He was a former member of the Scottish Brigade before joining up in Dublin to fight. He is buried a few metres from Michael Collins at Glasnevin and I am deeply proud to share his DNA. He was no royalist and neither am I. His memory deserves better than the childish nonsense from the Green Brigade.
“potentially a ground closure”
Dear, oh dear, when you regurgitate the deludamol from the Record, I’m not sure you’re in any position to lecture others.
Nothing I presented was a lecture, just opinions. But, pax vobiscum mate. And I never read the Record, I’m surprised you or anyone else does as a Celtic fan.
Ha, I don’t read the Record either and rely on the scornful put-down of Tic sites to read what they’re saying.
Their pishful thinking porn is that Celtic are banned for banners, flares and being Timmy.
To their eternal dismay that’s not going to happen, no one has been banned for these activities ever and no one is ever likely to be, which causes more impotent rage, which is nice.
Peace be with you, too.
Those clueless idiots at talk tv and the likes of Morgan and Farage are just jumping on the bandwagon condemning anyone who speaks out against the monarchy .
Jeremy Kyle has a brass neck ,the way he treated those who were on his appalling program ,and has the blood of a man who committed suicide after being on his show
So he is the last to call anyone a disgrace .
We have now seen the bizarre spectacle of multiple minutes of silence from Ibrox as they indulge in the royal grief fest .
At least their board will be happy deflects the deluded from the real issues at Ibrox

It’s better to have nonentities like Jeremy Kyle, and Tommy Robinson, as enemies. Such people would support Andrew Windsor as their reigning monarch. Celts aren’t unique in opposing this parasitical family. The creepy images of mass grovelling don’t make for pleasant viewing. But millions are absolutely nauseated by it. The challenge against this warped royal anachronism needs to be continued.
Servility and acquiesence,They love it.Grown woman in her 40s yesterday standing in tears for a 96 year old billionaire, while 200 miles up the road in Liverpool a 9 year old child is laid to rest after meeting a violent end.A real human tragedy.Save your tears for this little girl, you complete idiot’s.
Closing the food banks? Let them eat cake.
Everyone must have their favourite moment.
Mine is Beckham’s 13 hour plus shameless wait in the queue in lieu of a Knighthood and then blows it when asked if his knees hurt.
“No”, our brave stalwart replies, ” My back and my feet” before realising what he has said and thus scaring off potential mourning fodder.
James Whale breached.
“Whale’s 18-month affair with a listener of his radio show was made public.”
Kind of “Scumbaggy”. No?
So many UK people born into a subculture That rules them and keeps them down, an elitist Family that have never paid a bill in their life, yet these same “subjects” will not think twice about paying millions for a funeral ,travel miles to leave flowers at a gate. then complain they will be hungry and cold this winter, if you roll over and take it you deserve all you get.
