One really shouldn’t intrude upon private grief.
However, there are exceptions.
A subculture that venerates a razor gang led by a Ku Klux Klan member certainly does not deserve our generosity.

In case you didn’t get the memo, the Ibrox klanbase also finds An Gorta Mór hilarious.
So today was a victory for the good guys.
Ange has rebuilt this Celtic team from the wreckage of the Covid season, and today they sent out a message.
The guy with the immigrant backstory gets it, and he’s a perfect fit for the Hoops.
For the avoidance of doubt, what happened today at Parkhead wasn’t aberrant in this millennium.
The natural order of things in this century is that the club with the biggest stadium and most season ticket holders is the preeminent force on Planet Fitba.

Just count the league titles.
In the first decade of the 21st century, the original Rangers had to use EBTs and side letters to keep up.
You know how that ended for them.

Sevco is now on a UEFA watchlist, the financial naughty step, if you will.
If a level playing field is imposed from outwith Planet Fitba, then the Ibrox franchise will struggle to compete with the biggest club in Scotland.
Then there is another part of the equation.
Now that Lawwellball has been shown the door, the greater resources at Parkhead are being deployed to crushing effect.
The Parkhead club can comfortably and sustainably outspend their ten-year-old rivals.
Compare and contrast the last two transfer windows with what had gone before at Celtic.

When I look at this dignified ensemble, I am reminded of a wise observation that is attributed to Carl Jung.
“There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own Soul.”
My last two stage plays (Hame and Rebellion) both featured people brought up in the Ibrox subculture.
Both Kirsty Montgomery (Hame) and John Brown (Rebellion) are very much heroic figures.
Because of their personal qualities and moral compass, they decide to Do Walking Away from the klanbase.
Life often imitates art, which is why writers are essential to nay healthy society.
A club founded by immigrants triumphed today over a ten-year-old outfit which has many racists among their support.

In life, timing is pretty much everything.
Consequently, Mr David Cunningham King waited for the perfect moment before launching this one at the Sevco High Command.

He hasn’t gone away, you know.
I understand that the fine fellows at Club 1872 sent a WTAF missive to the basket of assets last night.
I was apropos the transfer window business and a demand for a seat in the Blue Room.
It is fair to say that they’re on the same page as Mr King on these matters.
Developing story…
Have a great day wherever you are.

Our league season stared five weeks ago today. We’re sitting 5 points and 17 goals ahead. Think about where we were this weekend last year. And its down to ONE man and his footballing philosophy. We’re playing the most attractive football we’ve played in decades. We’re playing CELTIC FOOTBALL!!
Just noted that the 3 match Ibrox CL package is being sold between £150 and £180 depending on where your seat is.
That’s quite a difference from the equivalent £99 across the board that Celtic fans have just paid.
Joseph, £99 is the OAP price. I just bought the package for my dad.
Ordinary season ticket holders like myself have been charged £129 for the three match package, which is still better than what the Sevconians are having to pay all the same.
As usual they are fleecing their ‘supporters’.
Hail! Hail!
Oops, I’d forgotten that I was now of an age that I qualified for the concession package.
My memory isn’t what it used to be.
I can’t take credit for this…but kudos to the punter who commented on Barry Ferguson’s ” predictions ” by referring to him as …
BAZTRODAMUS….
Hats off.
Lawwell helped THEM to survive…He should never be forgiven for it.
I assume you meant Rangers FC (in liquidation) when you said “THEM”. Lawwell didn’t help that club survive. It went bust and is being liquidated before finally getting buried. Rangers FC (in liquidation) doesn’t exist any more, no matter what Lawwell did or didn’t do.
Lawwell did however connive in the creation of the continuation myth alongside the corrupt SFA and SPL. If he’d insisted the SFA rule book was obeyed, Sevco would not have been able to become a member in 2012 because Scotland’s newest football club didn’t have three years of accounts. As a matter of fact, Sevco (pretendy Rangers) had no financial history at all.
Your first paragraph I would describe as semantics.
Your second paragraph totally vindicates me I would suggest.
Have a good day.
The buns on follow, follow are suggesting that GVB got it badly wrong in selecting Tillman for an “Old Firm” match because he only 20 years old.
PS: He is the same age as Liel Abada who didn’t seem to have too much of a problem!
Los Espanyol d’Ibrokes, segon millor, de nou
GVB is taking a terrible hammering on follow, follow this morning!
Watch Matt O’Riley first half. Insane ability. Passing stats may seem low but it’s because he’s trying ‘impossible’ passes most of the time. Can see why big guns in epl sniffing. Money irrelevant at this stage for us. We can only sell at 60 million plus for such players. Jota? Feck me, could be half a bill. I’m sure he’s better then Cristiano at this age. Frightening
Totally agree, O’Riley has been fantastic so far this seasons a real leader on the park and what a sweet left peg, cmon the hoops….no more 5 stars
Really disappointing from Celtic today. We were 4-0 up at halftime last week but only 3-0 today. Have a word. Ange 😉.
They’ve swapped brick shithouses for shit brick houses
Who cares if the huns continue to lap up the soothing lies?
Never interrupt your enemy when they are ballsing it up.
Well done to all at Celtic today ,an excellent display of good attacking football .
It’s what comes from having the financial clout to bring in players the manager wants .
Unlike financial disaster fc now under the scrutiny of Eufa .
Just like post 2012 the media cover up all things bad at that club .
And the fan lap up the rubbish printed in the media .
Any normal fan base would be asking where the money is
Why they are being ripped of with ridiculous prices for champions league tickets .
When over at Celtic it’s the same price over stadium.
The Fans of financial basket case fc are blinkered to the fact that Mike Ashley has taken them for millions,HMRC are sniffing around as probably are more creditors .
And now Eufa
We now have the glib and shameless liar sniffing around like a bad smell .
That will end in tears or worse
And all the while the SFA will sit and twiddle their thumbs
Ange has the ball boys on top of their game as well. Recycling the ball so quickly caught out the Rangers team on several occasions.
Had to laugh at one caller on Clyde blaming his team’s capitulation on these same ball boys rather than acknowledging the gap between the two squads which was there for all to see today. Joe Hart had hee haw to do, a virtual spectator. With the transfer window shut GVB has a choice between McLaughlin and a 40 year old veteran whose best years are behind him. I wonder if a new goalie was on his shopping list before the window closed? If not there will be other days like today.
Apart from the brilliant save against mcgregors diving header lol
Brilliant result. Five points clear, Excellent!!
All fair enough but we are where we are financially down to Peter Lawwell. Maybe he didn’t get everything right, but as a money conscious CEO, the guy was top drawer.
Aye but it should have been a lot healthier, the problem with Lawwell is he did not want to get too far ahead of Sevco therefore hindering us in Europe and ultimately costing us ten in a row.
Nonsense – Lawwell’s problem was ‘penny wise pound foolish”. He wanted to extract every last penny in every deal, and wouldn’t ever back down even if meant losing the deal, rather than accepting that sometimes paying a little more than you really want to (but can still afford) is a small price to pay for the bigger prizes/rewards down the line – exhibit A being John McGinn who would have made us £20million in profit 2-3 years later.
This mcginn crap again. He wouldn’t have broken out at Celtic. It would not have helped him. He would be another Scott Allan
What a foolish comment, are you seriously comparing Mcginn to Scott Allan? Thank God you’re not a Celtic scout. At the time Lawell ballsed it up Mcginn would have been a great signing for Celtic.
You think Rodgers thought he was asking the board to buy him the next Scott Allan? Really?
A master class and a big shout out to Greg Taylor…Jota, Fat Boyd eat your words
