If I was a religious person then by now, I would be praying that Sevco signs someone for their first team.
Actually, just anyone at all at this stage in order to relieve the desperation across the city.
It really is excruciating to watch.
In fairness, the Stenography Corps are doing their best with some of the best off-the-radar pandering that I’ve seen since Craig Whyte the billionaire bought the original Rangers.

The featured image is a wee reminder of just how successful the Whyte spin was back in 2011.
This site was reporting on the terminal decline of Rangers at the time and this site has a fully searchable archive which is, of course, free to view.
The same media paradigm remains extant on Planet Fitba from the original Rangers to Sevco Scotland Limited trading as The Rangers Football Club.
No matter the facts on the ground a good news narrative aimed at the Ibrox klanbase is non-negotiable.
However, there is a danger that the chaps on the sports desks on Planet Fitba will break the Panderometer © @Alan_Morrison67.

This salivating churnalism is not just confined to low-brow tabloids with a dwindling readership.
This is from the national broadcaster in fair Caledonia today.

So, another day and no new faces at Sevco.
This is not going down well with the Ibrox klanbase.
Quite soon it might be the case that we can say that The People are revolting.

It is already evident that the more sentient among the toilet drinking classes are starting to discern that their beloved basket of assets might not be flush with cash.
Now, after the ultimately unsuccessful European run, they should be cash-rich.
Clearly, they are not.
Therefore, the local media must do all that THEY can to soother their dignified demographic.
One would have thought that given the devil is in the retail that any soothing piece of churnalism would avoid the entire subject of merchandise.
Apparently not…

Remember the Panderometer rules:
If Sevco actually signs a player then he is automatically world-class.
Additionally, any youngster that joins them is a “wunderkind”.
Got that?

To be fair, Phil, The People have ALWAYS been revolting…
They now seem willing to let Aribo go for a “package” of£10m. A package surely includes possible add-ons that may or may not be triggered.
That’s a helluva climb down from, “Not letting him go for less than£25m.”.
The agent’s of the guys with a year left on their contracts will be, or should be, advising their clients to sit tight. The ball is firmly in their court.
Does being in the top 10 in Europe in merchandise searches earn that club a trophy, an extra star on its shirt or maybe automatic entry into the Champions League group stages?
Am sure I read they have signed 2 16 year old wonderkids , 1 from motherwell and 1 from Millwall. They also signed a celtic supporting 7 year old. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
They will have some ten in 10 years lol
It’s like the build up to Christmas, every day another door to be opened on my Advent calendar, all my Christmas’s are coming true ☘️👌☘️👌☘️👌☘️
Maybe they could sell “Haribo” on “Gumtree? I’ll get my hat and coat.
The cliché used to be that getting a player back from loan was like signing a new player but, by the sound of it, it looks like Katic will be like signing 2 new players.
Do they get a trophy or magnificent ceramics to show by winning the world merchandise internet search championship.
It is beyond parody the utter nonsense the media put out regards all things Sevco .
As for the journalists putting their names to these story you really have to pity them .
None of these players are World Class so I can’t imagine any team not being happy to wait to do a pre contract or negotiate a cheap early release in January. 10 million now (lol) or three million in January and with full wages more than covered.
Difficult to find any sympathy for a journalist happy to put his name to this crap.
They know only too well what their audience is hence the good feel articles that are being churned out on behalf of their favourite team.
I have no doubt rangers will buy some 1st team ready players if/when they move others out. Did you see the size of Freddo today. Years gone by clubs used to fine players for coming into the season overweight. That should be a 6 month fine for him.
If true and a £14m/£10m contracted selling figure for Kent/Aribo respectively you can see why there is less than real interest. Both players contracts expire May ’23 so they would both be good candidates for moves in the January sales for much smaller fees and with a bit more Euro experience behind them.
Aribo was their best player last season and I wouldn’t mind seeing him go.
The longer the window goes without activity on the hiring front the more pressure will build with the chance of a panic buy or two paying over inflated prices for a player or loan.
Talk of 2-3 more players for Celtic to replace some who will depart, sound plan, replace those going with better quality.
Merchandise searches probably mean surfing the net to get the cheapest C&A store kit,the one that won’t disintegrate after one wash! C&A! Remember that lot? Two dozen of anything for £1.99!!
The more you cant find something the more you will search for it. I would not be surprised if clickbait is the latest sevco attempt at world class fundraising, a new squirrelling away.
There’s no enough currants in all the multiverse’s, and in every dimension possible, tae make that a worthwhile venture, never, ah mean; Bayjaysus! they’re barely upright😇… Amen🇮🇪
I wouldn’t be surprised if General Ashley has them for over £20m … find out later this year .
Merchandise searches AIN’T merchandise sales.
But big clubs get lots of merchandise searches and Sevco is a big club. (Allegedly.) And don’t you forget it.
They are a big club. They are not rich or well run however.
