Míle Buíochas

First off, as per the title, a thousand thanks to all of ye who have already purchased Native Shore.

I just got a message from the publisher regarding the online sales in the first 24 hours.

It’s fair to say that he is highly chuffed.

He told me that there are three people who I have never met and they’re doing nothing else but putting copies of Native Shore into envelopes.

My thanks also go to them for their efforts.

Here is the first line from the acknowledgement section:

Although writing is a solitary activity the writer cannot achieve very much in isolation.

That is true when the book is in the manuscript stage and it is certainly the case when the finished product goes to market.

Receiving that comm from my publisher in Alba prompted me to pick up my own novel and leaf through it.

On reflection, I probably should have included a trigger warning about the language in Native Shore.

Ah, feck it!

  1. There are no words wasted in Native Shore.
It references our past, impacts our present and challenges us to imagine our future, all within a context of real people who I could relate to on many levels.
I wish it well and I hope meny people may read it.
