Why a even squadron of squirrels can’t hide the truth about the klan

It’s perhaps inevitable that on the day that Sevco effectively relinquished the title to Celtic that it would also be Statement O’clock.

In the week where the Ibrox klanbase decided to indulge in ghoulishly sickening  World War Two gloating in a city destroyed in a firestorm by the RAF, the chaps in the Blue Room scrambled an elderly and disabled squirrel.

On that subject, I recently re-read Among The Dead Cities by A.C. Grayling.

It is a deeply troubling piece of work about the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians with no warning bombs.

Of course, the Ibrox illiterati are unlikely to be troubled by anything that is concealed in a book.

Indeed, I doubt that any of their dignified expedition to Leipzig last week would have visited the German Museum of Books and Writing; it is the oldest of its type in the world.

I cannot think of a more alien place for the Ibrox klanbase than the city that was once home to Johann Sebastian Bach.

When I saw Chris McLaughlin’s Tweet, I sent the Sevco statement to a pal who works in the Glasgow media.

He had already seen it, and his WhatsApp reply was to the point:

“Deflector shields up!”

Then the PR landscape on Planet Fitba took a turn for the unexpected.

The quick response from Celtic to the Sevco statement was not redolent of Heated Driveway Productions.

That said, the Parkhead club still does commercial business with the main chap in the Blue Room for their transport needs.

Not a good look, Celtic.

The provenance of the broken glass that somehow got into Joe Hart’s goalmouth the last time at Ibrox remains a mystery.

I’m sure that Police Scotland are looking into it with the excellent security team at the ten-year-old club.

The view of the Stenography Corps is that the inclusion of 700 away fans at Celtic Park today apparently added to the occasion.

Really?

On the field my guts averted disaster.

Although on Mayo Day, I thought that the curse of Croker would be visited on my soccer team after Fashion Sakala levelled the match.

However, the man that someone clearly wanted to maim at Ibrox prevented an away win.

Celtic now only need three points from the remaining three games.

This doesn’t’ lie.

Now my thoughts fretfully turn to the beautiful city of Seville and their lovely citizens.

I hope that they will be spared a visitation from the Ibrox klanbase.

Anyone who has to question that sentiment has either never been in close proximity to the People, or they work on a Glasgow sports desk.

The latter long ago relinquished any claim to be part of the vertebrate family regarding the Ibrox klanbase.

  1. I recall they said the reason for entering the field of play in the 1980 and in 2016 Scottish Cup Finals was because the Celtic and Hibs Supporters were assaulting their players. Must have had fantastic eyesight from the terrace (certainly when Hibs fans came on as there were thousands of them) to see individual players being assaulted. The true reason being they couldn’t stomach another support celebrating, diminishing their sense of entitlement and usual triumphalism. Read them like a book.

  2. “Hate crime”? Their whole “institution” is a hate crime whose vile followers have been subjecting us to anti-Irish racism since we came out the womb. SPEAK UP CELTIC!!!

  3. I have said…for more years than I care to remember…none of our support should go to the Bigot Dome…and more importantly…none of their scum should be allowed to enter Celtic Park.
How long do we have to suffer these Neanderthals bringing their poison into our stadium ?
    Nah…banning them is long overdue.
However…once again our esteemed Board of Directors will issue a mealy mouthed statement and that will be that.
Can I suggest therefore that Phil and James Forrest and Joe McHugh ( and others who are like minded ) join forces and draw the Club’s attention to the unrest which grips our support regarding Sevco and its follow followers.
Individuals like me can bat their gums all day about this problem…but that won’t make any difference.
Perhaps, however, the aforementioned bloggers would carry enough clout to make the Board stop and think…and ultimately take action.
    Just a thought.
Oh…and apart from Celtic changing buses ( which they should do ) …can I point out that if any Celtic supporter is considering buying a new or used car…or getting a car serviced…or an MOT from Parks of Hamilton…other car dealerships are available….and should be prioritised.

  4. There’s always twisted ironies emanating from Ibrox. But some are really priceless. One of their players (a black man) equalised yesterday. The Rainjurz fans celebrated by chanting the ‘Billy Boys’. An odious song about a member of the KKK. What an embarrassment to themselves, and the game in general.

  5. For me, banning them from Celtic Park makes sense for several reasons. Health and safety (no bottles on heids), prevention of criminal damage (to seats, toilets etc.) and there would be no singing of deeply offensive hun anthems. I’d use another bus company too.

  6. Like many i was surprised to see the statement put out by those in charge at Rangers after yesterdays match .
It sadly too showed how bad journalism in Scotland is when this was published in their media .
Surely someone must have questioned it given the utter nonsense the statement contained .
The media too have not helped either since events of 2012 by making out somehow Rangers were the victims .
This has in turn intensified the hatred for others The statement is critical of Police Scotland which is laughable given events of George SQ where police stood by and watched as they destroyed it ,some even standing having photos taken with fans.
Then we had the farce of Police Officers escorting Rangers fans through Glasgow as they belted out songs of hate .
As others have said Celtic should cut ties with Parks of Hamilton I’m sure other companies would happily supply buses .
It’s time too as others have said to ban them from Celtic park ,we can always beam back the game from ibrox to Celtic Park .
As for security you could clearly see there was adequate security far more in fact then was in place for the last ibrox game with Celtic
Which saw Celtic staff hurt and glass ending up on the playing surface .
I’m sure Celtic will have footage of the away supports behaviour yesterday and could easily shoot down the laughable statement put out by Rangers to deflect attention away from their rogue support.

  7. “Hate crime”

I better be careful…..for if hating THEM is a crime I really should have been jailed a very long time ago.

    • I don’t hate “them”.

      I feel sorry for them.
They don’t know what they don’t know: they will simply always choose to be ignorant.

  8. I was unfortunate enough to be sitting adjacent to the vermin today that quite frankly is not required to be allowed in our stadium. I am surprised to be reading these inaccurate and totally false accusations from the so called peeepil. Simply pathetic is the best way to describe the statement from the cancer that is Sevco. Flags from the Para regiment to the Hamilton Billy Boys were the order of the day. I also noticed that the Bhoys supporter group were kettled on their own territory in the Gallowgate, yet the upstanding Police Scotland allow the neanderthal Sevco swine to run amok in the City unhindered. Just where is the balance with Police Scotland? …….Stupid question I know.

  9. Can anyone tell me why the Celtic board think it is appropriate to having anything to do with anything Ibrox ever ? I’m all ears and open to any opinion because I cannot think of any. The bottom line is Celtic fans have evolved and the Celtic board is actually holding them back stuck in the Old Firm. Time they started thinking outside the box and stopped.making outdated decisions or leave the club . Your thoughts please

  10. Almost laughable to hear the little ‘Ibrox establishment’ using accusatory terms like ‘Hate Crime’. It only highlights their insanity. Desperate deviations from their own rabid fanbase.

    • Psychopaths project their their own traits, actions, values, fears, fantasies, desires, hates, motives, and distorted self-beliefs onto others.

So when the rabble accuse decent Celtic fans of “Hate Crimes” you can take comfort in it as a kind of subconscious admission of their own evil proclivities in that area, and an admission of group psychopathy (although as psychopaths they are not capable of the self-reflection necessary to arrive at that conclusion for themselves).

Fortunately we have many, many years of objective evidence that they quite literally hate all Irish people and the multigenerational Irish community in Scotland. Indeed they proclaim the same loudly and often.

That is the very definition of a “Hate Crime”. But as they are also Police Scotland and the malicious prosecutors of the Crown Office, expect no action.

They are the lowest of the low, and in a spirit of Christian charity, we are obliged merely to pity them for what they are.

There is no betterment for them.

  11. I heard some time back that Celtic use their bus services, along with other PL clubs in the area, as they’re given for free as they get free advertising with these teams using them.

Could be wrong, but I’d still rather pay for our own buses and tell the bitter ragin relic to poke his 53 seaters.

  12. And as usual not a mention of the Anti-Irish/Catholic, hate filled racism. Being spewed out. For all to hear again. Scotland, a wee, bigoted, backwards country. And what’s it going to take before action, not words. Someone being killed by a Sevconian?

  13. If they were to be portrayed as a character in a sitcom they would be Arnold Rimmer in Red Dwarf. Brought back to life to resemble a character that died through his own stupidity . Full of self loathing and anger that they only made 2nd technician when they believe they should be supping gazpacho soup at the top table . In other news I understand Linfield are now the World’s most successful club overtaking Hologram FC with 56 titles now where are those deflector shields ?

    • Actually Al Ahly, of Egypt, are the world’s most successful club, and have been since not long after DM’s claim about the success rate of the dead club.

  14. Tit for tat statements aren’t enough. Its time for a complete disassociation, starting with only Celtic fans being able to attend the Glasgow derby at CP. February showed that this is the way forward. Beam the away game back to CP. Our supporters will accept if there are teething problems with the big screens. No club officials should attend the games in mordor. Furthermore, its imperative thay we get on the phone to Citylink first thing in the morning……

    • Totally agree: CFC should take the initiative and state that – on safety grounds – no tickets will be taken up for Ibrox league games – for the whole of next season.

Predictably, Ibrox will reciprocate and that will be just fine.

The game at Parkhead in February had a fantastic atmosphere: keep it that way.
