After Sevco’s match against Motherwell today, I was sent these images.

My first thought was that this was some clever digital delinquency.
Apparently not.
I have long since given up the somewhat naïve thought that there is an end to this behaviour.
I’ve come to the realisation that there isn’t.
There aren’t any internal inhibitors in the Blue Room that will see them behave like the rest of the clubs in Fair Caledonia.
Quite simply, the Sevco High Command behaves in this fashion because they know that they will not suffer any meaningful consequences from the authorities.
That is the essence of a moral hazard.
At this point, we should go back to the scene of the crime, Hampden in the summer of 2012.
When the current Ibrox club was still in embryonic form, the Scottish Football Association head honcho considered the appalling vista of a world without a Rangers, any Rangers at all.

“Without Rangers, there is social unrest and a big problem for Scottish society.”
The well-meaning Englishman genuinely thought that a club playing Ibrox was beneficial to maintaining a peaceful society.
Yes, Mr Regan, I see what you mean…

To underline the point that Moral Hazard FC will charge on regardless, here is another one for the lawyers.

This conduct will continue until the football authorities decide that rules should indeed be for everyone in the game.
The featured image, which IS a bit of digital delinquency, is the only thing that will bring the Blue Room into line.

There was an article (well series – but it was the first one) that I read called “Stigma – Too Big to Fail” or something similar about the very issue of risk of clubs becoming too big for the normal rules to be applied to. Don’t remember the author. Compared the Rangers 2012 scenario with the Banking crisis. Just goes to show that lessons just don’t get learned.
The benefit of being a “figment of the supporters imagination” is that the laws of the game and the courts are unenforceable
No other club would get away with this .It will be interesting the sponsors take on this .
And why were Motherwell complicit in this .
Could you imagine this happening in any other league .
And why are the authorities ,Police ,Football ,and Scottish Government pandering to the mob ,what are they so afraid of.
More than likely the events of George SQ but 10 times worse .
This club and fan base are even more insidious than the pre 2012 incarnation.
Aided and abetted by the morons in the Scottish Media who peddle there lies
Maybe there will be no appetite for change at the Football authorities as the guy at the top picks up his £200k fee everytime he brings in a new deal. Cinch pull the plug another company takes their place Cha-ching.!!!
Surely they must have the nod to tamper with league property, would that not be vandalism. However something again their board have allowed the fans to get away with for years. Lead by example.
Wonder if it will be allowed next week.
I was just thinking the same. If it’s not league property it’s Motherwell FC property. So did somebody at Motherwell say it was OK? I just noticed Parks being advertised at Ross County’s ground. If Cinch has a break clause in their contract I’m sure they will use it. As far as another company coming in and taking over League sponsorship I think the SPFL is now seen as a toxic brand.
I think you guys appear to be unaware that the Scottish football authorites and Old Firm Fc are in it together.
Would the SPFL/SFA have anything to say if we decided we weren’t going to display it as a protest against rangers lack of respect to a sponsor. Another thing why don’t we use a local coach company ie Doigs, they are used by European clubs when they come here .the money spent on a coach or coaches by Celtic would pay for equivalent to Parks.
The game was at Motherwell how could they allow this, how would anyone get access to the back screen let alone alter it without being seen. Unless of course Motherwell were happy to be complicit…..
Any chance we could have a journalist in this country ask for details on the slit of the cinch sponsorship money for each club?
Spare the rod
This is a typical way to say thanks, from the rangers, ifc. Motherwell and S P F A, agreed to the date/time, change, in favour of the rifc. Rangers , by way of thanks, was to get yet another penalty, against Motherwell. And the blanking out of Cinch, logo, is so rude and disrespectful to all professional / and Amateur Scottish football clubs.
It’s now time for the other clubs to send 8 page letters regarding referee performances and not to have cinch displayed at their grounds or on background boards when being interviewed and if the corrupt sfa and spfl say anything the other clubs can tell them that sevco get away with not displaying the league sponsor but their grubby hands will be out when the money is being handed out.
Personally I don’t think they should get ONE penny of the Cinch money. They refused the sponsorship deal. Their right to refuse was confirmed in a court of law. WHY should they be due ANY money from that deal?
I think we all know that they are getting away with behaving the way they do just because they CAN. Their influence with the SFA, the SPFL and referee’s association must be the reason why they can accrue millions of pounds worth of debt whilst gaining an unfair advantage.
Nothing changes but don’t be surprised if they take over the offices in Hampden just because they CAN. HH
It still hasent been decided how
much they owe SDI over TWO YEARS after
they lost the court case, so they are untouchable it seems! They do what they want,
When they want and nobody cares, not even
Celtic!
