A helping hand that could trash a beautiful Spanish city

I suppose this is what a sense of entitlement looks like on Planet Fitba.

Scroll to 0.27, and the softball question opens the door on the subject.

Mr Gio wants a helping hand from the football authorities when Sevco,  are hardly a good corporate citizen, apropos the game’s governance.

I think that this puts it rather well.

The appalling vista of the Ibrox klanbase travelling to the beautiful city of Seville remains a clear and present danger.

Only the chaps from Leipzig stand in their way now.

Dear reader, the citizenry of that special place in Spain deserves better than having the detritus of a deceased imperium dumped on them.

I cannot see any chance of the klan being in the  Andalusian capital and not trashing the place.

Despite the best efforts of the chaps on the sports desks in Glasgow, there was too much CCTV evidence to prevent the truth from coming out about what the klan inflicted on that English city in 2008.

Of course, should the Manchester situation ensue in Spain, then any comparison with the joyful scenes in the same city in 2003 would be verboten by the Stenography Corps.

Celtic’s fans received an award from FIFA that year for what they brought to the 2003 UEFA Cup final in Seville.

What will the valued customers of Sevco bring if they get past the German side?

This Old Firm thing is a challenging fiction to maintain.

Thankfully I don’t have an editor telling me to keep to an Orwellian narrative of equivalence.

  1. Can you imagine… Aitor from Seville sitting their thinking… Those nice glaswegians are coming to our city again, what joy… Only to be confronted by the zombie hoards of old firm fc.

    I feel sorry for them.

  2. You know, Phil. Sometimes life can be funny. Maybe Old Firm will get to the final and trash Saville to pieces. Comparisons will NOT be made by the SMSM to 2003 as this ruins their “As Bad as Each Other,” narrative. The Spanish Police will obviously go over the top on the peaceful Old Firm supporters as they try and get revenge for the Spanish Armada against the Loyal British Bears. There was no problem in 2003 as Celtic fans are all Papists so were left alone.

  3. Before the beautiful City of Seville is put at risk, let’s not forget that Leipzig, one of the most ancient cities of education and culture in Europe, with a history dating back at least as far as the Holy Roman Empire, will have to face the marauding Hun hordes.

  4. Keep referring to them as the Old Firm. That`s what would sicken the media in this country the most and they couldn`t offer a defence since they had it all splattered across their woodworm riddled hoardings a couple of weeks ago. Let`s see how often the phrase would be used in the media then. .
