Nicola and the klan

phil

Everyone across the islands recognises that Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon is a skilled communicator.

She has been compared to New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

Both female political leaders who have shown great precision and poise as they have led their respective countries through the pandemic’s challenges.

Therefore, Ms Sturgeon’s performance today at Holyrood was, at best,  atypically hesitant.

Indeed, it took Patrick Harvey of the Greens to state the basic facts of what had happened in Glasgow at the weekend.

“…a football club which, let’s be honest, seriously did nothing to prevent dangerous mass gatherings in its name, Gatherings which trashed the public realm, risked the safety of front line workers as well as posing a public health threat”.

That is a much clearer message than the one that the First Minister initially delivered.

Celtic Football Club and its supporters had no hand act or part in what transpired at the weekend.

Yet Ms Sturgeon had to drag them into it.

Jeanette Findlay of the Celtic Trust did not miss her.

The response from Sevco was that the memorial benches in George Square should have been removed before the crowd got there.

Yes…

Really…

Someone from the DUP could have written the three-page letter signed by Sevco chairman Douglas Park.

Oh, wait…

It certainly exuded a deluded sense of entitlement.

The inconvenient fact for the Scottish Government is that large illegal gatherings in Glasgow at the weekend seem to have been facilitated by the Police.

The official response to this mob rule appears to have been penned in another dimension.

Does this mean that law enforcement in Scotland’s largest city accepts that there are times when a fascist mob is in charge of the streets and that that they just have to accept it?

I’m aware that some believe that many within Police Scotland see the world through a klan prism.

I, of course, couldn’t possibly comment.

It seems strange that Ms Sturgeon seems hesitant about taking on a subculture that will never get on board with her desire for Scottish independence.

Perhaps she is just more concerned with concealing from the wider world the ugly truth about Fair Caledonia.

  1. The SNP talk out of their collective arse when they talk about independence. Correct me if I am wrong but they still want to be part of the EU. That to me is sucking off the Brussels tit rather than the Westminster one! Independence my arse. Their fiscal policy simply doesn’t add up. Scotland cannot afford independence.

And as to the events of last Sunday, is anyone here surprised by the police assisting the gathering? Most of the officers are supporters of the new club so why would they not want to join in? There is more of the same to come if the game at Parkhead is to go ahead. End the season now Nicola as I fear the nut jobs in our own support will meet them head on, sadly.

  2. An clandestine meeting arranged in 2012 changed the course of Scottish Football from that day to this.
Still the Official minutes and details of that meeting remain a closely guarded secret by those who not only attended it but whom also sanctioned it.
How can this be deemed acceptable in 2021?

You keep buying into this then you are by default in agreement with this arrangement where one Club gets special treatment over everyone else.
To my knowledge there have been numerous breaches of Government protocols by the Ibrox entity that have as of yet failed to impact it directly.
From the playing of non tested players in a pre Season fixture with Patrick Thistle to not one but two Parties which their players attended to the recent development they are the only Club being allowed to self police their own Covid controls and results?

The best team won the League I have no issue with that but it would appear that team had less restrictions on it doing so?
Now compare the response to the likes of Celtic,Aberdeen and the other Clubs that have been hampered by Covid issues all Season.

  3. I don’t understand why the SNP are trying to keep onside with Sevco, the vast majority of their fans won’t vote for them while at the same time, the SNP are alienating a large section of the Celtic fans who have independence sympathies.

    • I think it’s because after Four, yes Four mandates to call a Second Referendum within her term of office and nothing happens other than we have to listen to the broken record Ian Blackford at Westminster? My conclusion is the SNP in their current structure does not want Independence and they have been got at? The past few days have only confirmed my suspicions. With the May elections only a few weeks away the silence on a path forward to Indy from them is deafening Time for a clear out starting with the Murrell’s.

      • A ‘mandate’ means nothing, you need a yes from the prime minister of great Britain to hold a referendum. Anyone holding one without or even wanting too is clearly as stupid as a rangers fan. People like you are why independance will fail

The Scottish people are sovereign and WILL decide their own destiny and not require permission from anyone especially the fat Eton Mess BoJo.

  4. As a Celtic fan who regularly travels abroad to watch Celtic in action, before every trip you receive a letter (Email) from the Club the you are and Ambassador for the Club and to act accordingly.

Everyone (Including Celtic fans ) knew in November the Sevco were going to win the league, therefore giving The Rangers ample time to communicate with their support, via letters, Email, Press conference, twitter.. and the silence is deafening.

The Scottish media ACCEPT Mr Gerrad’s ‘Bottom of my heart’ statement with NO FURTHER questions……………….show us the evidence Sevco.

Slightly off topic but it was good to hear the news tonight that the supercilious arrogant presenter of false headlines was made to fall on his own sword following his disgraceful presentation of his clearly biased views in the aftermath of that interview and his disgusting views on the struggles of a young mother with mental health issues!!!

  7. Hi Phil,
Do know the Scottish Sun journalist Roger Hannah in a professional capacity.
If you do, maybe you can explain what the tweet Celtic allegedly put out stating
“Celtic are not half of anything, unbroken history since 1888.
He stated on Snyde super scoreboard that he had no Idea what the tweet was referring to.
Maybe you could ask the same programme in response to their claims Rangers done everything possible to control their fans.
Or Steven Gerrard’s claim from the heart of his bottom quote, no comment on his or the player’s action to incite fans at Ibrox following the victory over St Mirren.
    Stay safe!!

  8. It took Patrick Harvie from the Green party to nail this in parliament today. This was Rangers fans acting in the name of that club in an unlawful manner and that club said nothing, did nothing and by its subsequent actions is to all intents and purposes indulging it’s supporters by looking to blame anyone and everyone for their permanent disgrace of a support. I’m finished with Scottish football, it’s nothing but a corrupt masonic cesspit, riddled with the stench of foul chancers and charlatans, many of whom can be found within the boardroom of Celtic FC also. Fergus McCann wouldn’t have pissed on a Parks of Hamilton bus far less use them to ferry the first team around the country.!

This is the dilemma that I , and others like me, who despise the Union Jack and all that it stands for, have and I’m not smart enough to provide the answer: but I know it’s not the SNP.

  11. Rangers should have done more? pay for a private police force, asked Glasgow Council. to close Streets?.
POLICE SCOTLAND along with every person in Scotland new that Rangers would win this years title.
so for the last few weeks they should have been prepared for mass gatherings just like match day close a few street with all pubs closed no need for any body to be in the city centre, should have been closed?
the league is over so cancel the remaining games.
police scotland has been a joke as a force from start up and should be returned to local area command who no the local problemes and can adapted as needed like Saturday and sunday and on the 21st of the month when Rangers and Celtic fans will clash (hot News) so if Rangers FC have not contacted Police Scotland if you have any spare PC ‘S free please send to Parkhead area around 11 am till 5pm on Sunday 21st March.

    • Absolutely spot on and it makes my blood boil Tommy. I was in the crowd when Glasgow’s finest charged into the Celtic Support jammed into Janefield Street after a Celtic rangers game. Nothing came of it and in fact Celtic FC were apathetic in their efforts to clear the support of any wrongdoing.

Impressed with the greens pressing the issue but if they ever got into power they would buckle to the higher power aswell.
The only way to tackle the higher power is to bring Trump over think he’s free just now.

  14. There are issues raised by the policing failure which, when considered from outside Scotland, could easily put Euro fixtures and the Climate Change conference – which heads of state, including Pope Francis, may have wished to attend – in immediate jeopardy.

As a Yes voter, who has previously admired Nicola Sturgeon for her political bravery, I shrank in my seat to hear her comments about the Sevco Superspreader events.. where did the Bolingboli ‘red card’ vanish to? Where, indeed, did our bold First Minister, go?

It was no surprise that Lady D could not bring herself to even mention Sevco, in their Zombie iteration as The Rangers, in her mild mannered tut-tuttery over the police-sponsored riot in George Square, that saw memorial benches trashed by the Ibrox faithless. But for Nicola, who has Ibrox in her constituency, to soft pedal on such egregious, mass breaches of lockdown – just as the science suggests very cautious easing – is truly soul destroying, a new low benchmark in the blindness to sectarianism which besets Nicola when talking about her Govan backyard.

It may well be that this weak-kneed response is the first signs that Nicola is facing a potential finding of breaching the ministerial code likely to force her resignation over Leslie Evans’ botched handling of the Salmond imbroglio. Resigned is the only way to describe her reaction at Holyrood today, 48 hours in the brewing, to a series of policing failures certain to fuel international consternation, as well as claims of sectarian policing, and add to the anger that Sevco have been shielded by our media and allowed to respond with truculence to growing, non-footballing disquiet.

There must surely be a ‘red card’. The Sevco tie against Celtic must be cancelled. The season must end… otherwise, whatever dire consequences befall us, at this time of tentative lockdown easing, particularly in terms of Sevco fan gatherings, will rest squarely with Nicola, the chastened former firebrand of the nationalist cause.

A note on the BBC’s part in this is, I think, merited. The picture editors at BBC Scotland seemed keen to use images of the riots that minimised the crowds and the mayhem. They could have filmed the police-led column passing from the windows at Pacific Quay to greater effect. By day two, someone had been dispatched to find a court hearing involving historic abuse allegations at Celtic, to run immediately after the Sevco riot round-ups. (Sally Nugent on morning TV did manage to let the world know Rangers died in 2012, but everyone at BBC Scotland was insisting they had been relegated… and ‘put through hell’ while broadcasting congratulatory/celebratory pieces as sports coverage, across the network.)

Perhaps the hell gates have just swung open.. time for a clear out at this most partisan BBC branch.

Double standards across the whole spectrum from one law breaker to a couple of thousand, these folks will never see themselves as equals because they will physically threaten anyone that dares to criticise them publicly. That sense of entitlement has never left them, not even after liquidation.

Sadly we have a compliant govt and police force who are equally as happy to let these outrages and law breaking continue when it comes to the Deludemol dependents.

Said it before and I’ll say it again, the only way to make these peepel toe the line starts with a new strong governing body that will apply the rules and regs, fairly and equally to ALL teams esp. sevco.
Once the peepel see that their team has to obey all the rules then maybe, just maybe, they will follow.

For me that’s the only way forward; simple really.New sfa equals hopefully a new vista.
As We All saw at the weekend, this problem (Scotland’s Shame) hasn’t gone away,it just made its reappearance at the weekend.Their fans specialise in that type of behaviour and it will happen again and again until there is major changes like the one mentioned previously; a new sfa,

And for anyone to bring the Celtic support into this one is DISGUSTING AND 100% WRONG.

    Thanks Phil🍻

Totally agree that the memorial benches should’ve been removed, before the neanderthals were escorted by Police Scotland to george sq, to participate in an allegal gathering, during a world wide pandemic. I also feel the local shop owners should’ve removed their windows and doors, plant containers etc so these weren’t smashed and vandalised too….

  20. I’m disgusted but not surprised, wee Nic has done loads to earn my respect in the last year, she’s handled the latest Alex Salmond debacle with aplomb and political astuteness, she’s dealt with the Tory attacks on her with dignity.

All that respect is now lost.

I will not be deterred from voting for them due to this though as I see the bigger picture, self governance and self determination via an SNP mandate to challenge Westminster and hold a referendum on independence.

Soon as we get that vote and hopefully freedom then we can let them know by our voting what sort of country we want for our children’s children.

    Still disgusted though.

      (1) she has lied to parliament and the public over the Alex salmond escapade.
      (2) she and her cabal tried to end his political career & freedom by false accusations of sexual assault and attempted rape. Which he was cleared of in court.
      (3) she has politicised the police and PF to go after anyone who disagrees with her.

(3)just ask the lecturer at Dundee University who lost her job because of the SNP. Or anyone who dared to report the FACTS of the Alex Salmond trial.
Why did the PF tell parliament to take down parts of Alex Salmond’s evidence the day before he gave evidence , so that it couldn’t be included. Yet that same evidence is on the spectors website

There are plenty of photos and videos of the lovely escort Polis Scotland afforded the klan but there is also footage to be had that shows members of the Keystone Kops jigging along with the throng of Neanderthals to their quaint little shanties. • Get independence- Union Jack no longer exists – undermines Rangers, DUP British imperialism.
Do not underestimate psychological and actual affect this would have.

        • erm, she did lie to parliament. We know this because Salmond, despite sturgeon claiming he had no evidence, provided corroborating evidence to back up his claims while wee jimmy couldn’t corroborate anything she said

Salmond was found not guilty on all charges except for one where the charge was found ‘not proven’.

Umm ya, she even had the Lord Advocate threaten the parliamentary committee with legal action if they mentioned certain things even though all the rest of us could read such evidence by simply visiting the Spectator magazine’s website and shockingly during the LAs’ appearance before the committee he refused to give a straight answer to the simple question of ‘is non compliance of a search warrant a crime under scot’s law’ WE ALL KNOW the answer to that yet the LA couldn’t give a straight answer because he knew if he did he would have had to prosecute either Sturgeon or her cabal.

Putting that aside, let’s look at covid. Sturgeon, in late February last year, covered up a mass outbreak of covid at a convention in Edinburgh and when she got caught she claimed not to have mentionded it ‘partly to protect patient confidentiality’. She moved elderly patients out of hospitals into care homes without testing which, which, in some care homes in certain areas, was an absolute catastrophe…again she tried to cover that up. Then, when covid was starting to hit Scotland hard she allowed 50,000 to turn up at the bigotdome.

Sturgeon is a tinpot dictator and serial cover upperer and for that she wont get my vote…Ever!! Now if you want to go ahead and vote for her then that’s fine that’s your choice but don’t turn up and spread manure in order to garner support for her. Oh and there’s also the SNP cover up of sexual allegations down in westminster but hey it was ‘only’ a man who made these allegations so i guess wee jimmy and her ultra feminist gang have no interest in that.

It’s not a vote for SNP it’s a vote for independence and while we still have fish like some people biting on the narrative being doled out that SNP are corrupt liars that interferes with the judicial for politic points then they’ve won already without a ballot cast.

            SNP are a bus.

Parks of Hamilton are a bus.

Both still get to the destination.

1,Sturgeon to blame for Covid 19= Already debunked as more unionist pish.

2, Sturgeon can demand the LA do stuff, including lie for her. = more fantasy world level Pish.

3, Sturgeon in charge of privately owned (by, insert capitalist monster here…) care homes and movement of elderly patients = Ludicrous Pish. Seek help.

In the words of Salmond’s Layer. He might be a sex pest. a sleaze ball.

I suspect Nicola is holding back on Salmond’s activities. She’s been around him long enough to know him inside and out.

As for Westminster cover up?. Yeah, ok 77th Brigade boy. Keep spreading your unionist Pish.
