There is a saying that if you do not look after your customers, then someone else will.
If you buy a bad product or get lousy service, then it is perfectly normal to go elsewhere in the future.
In that sense football is different.
Although the suits in the boardroom may look at it as a strictly commercial operation, then the customers do not.
They have an emotional attachment to a specific brand.
It is abundantly clear that Celtic’s “customers” are not being looked after in any sense of the word.
Of course, they will; not migrate to another sporting brand.
However, they could stay away in enough numbers to make a difference.
At the time of writing the best-paid CEO in Scottish football is self-isolating from his customers.

That isn’t a good look.
This morning I have been dialled into the legal proceedings in London.
Fortunately, a learned buddy has also been having a look.
He helpfully pointed out the following to me:
Basically, it is a hearing on the recovery of documents from Rangers in relation to the ongoing proceedings. When I left SDH had set out the basic argument as to how damages should be calculated by providing details of what rights they had and the “counterfactuals” they were going to rely upon – and their junior counsel went on to spell out why Dave King and Paul Murray were people whose e-mail addresses and files should be disclosed.
It resumes again at 14.00hrs.
My entirely unqualified take on this is that General Ashley hasn’t gone away on the issues arising out of the Sevco car boot sale.
Learned buddy reckons that this case has some time to go yet after today.
Meanwhile, I can only concur with this observation on the current malaise at Celtic.

Mr Lawwell has several obedient outlets for his wise observations.
The silence from his office is very damning indeed.

The risk to DD’s investment is that ST sales fall off a cliff for next season.
Ironically, it would seem that PL is now closer to being shown the door than NL!
If PL was punted, I’m sure he will be very understanding: it’s only business… 🙂
Been listening tae the Ashley show for long enough, is the needle stuck, how many years has it been dragging on, his top generals and his tanks on the lawn, its the same old tune, nae monies ringfenced, nae other court cases, which there’s numerous, yet naw one has come to a conclusion, and the ipox bandwagon keeps rolling along..
