On the subject of questions that might be worth asking here are some more:
- Do the SFA have interim accounts from Sevco as part of their UEFA licence application for season 2020-2021?
- If they do then do those accounts meet the auditing standards the UEFA require?
- If those interim accounts DO meet the auditing requirements, then do they also meet the other criteria as laid down in the UEFA Financial pair Play regulations?
- Given that the SFA have been sitting on the Resolution 12 issue since July 2018 are, they now being more diligent when it comes to a UEFA licence from a club playing at Ibrox?
My information is that the answer to the first question is “yes”.
Therefore, the SFA would have had to have received the interim accounts by March 31st this year.

However, it is the in answers to the other four questions where a real story can be found.

Something not quite right here. We were told last week that the clubs were unanimous in calling the league to an end now.
That must include a yes vote from Rangers.
How are they going to square that with their fans or does getting their 2nd place share of the SPFL final pay out trump all else?
The howling to the moon has started and not only will the haters be getting boycotted any SPFL sponsors will also be given the cold shoulder as far as their fan base is concerned.
I have a modicum of sympathy for Hearts but they are at the bottom for a reason.
Budge’s reliance on Levein has been her undoing.
Hearts are more likely than the Ibrox club to go legal but I don’t see where in law they think they have a case.
The clubs have voted to end the league now as their is no chance of the final 8 games being played. Even playing behind closed doors would fall apart as soon as a player was tested positive for the virus opening another avenue for legal action.
Lets be clear, Celtic have not been handed the title, they have won it fair and square on the park. A 13 point gap tells it’s own story as Rangers bottle crashed after the break.
Probably get to here what Stevie G’s take on things will be. No surprise if he goes down the aye but, if route.
If so a perfect opportunity for one of our brave media to ask the question of Stevie G about the situation in the EPL with Liverpool miles ahead but mathematically still catchable, if, but!
Is it possible/probable that the Scottish media has been warned off that particular question as Stevie’s reply might be somewhat contradictory.
Why is CASTORE Ltd doing business with RIFC PLC when the majority Owner of RIFC PLC is cold shouldered by all professional bodies under the Financial Conduct Authority?
Surely CASTORE Ltd is floated on business loans from Banks? Surely pressure should be brought to cold shoulder business with King’s football club?
The media have repeatedly called King the Owner or the Owner and Chairman of Rangers (sic) Football Club.
When is the verdict/monetary amount due to be announced re:owed money to SD?
Also when is the CB loan due?
Had a look at some Castore kit. They are selling a ‘reflective’ t-shirt for £90, whatever that is?
I’m guessing it acts like a mirror, so that the mugs at Ibrox can see themselves coming?
Two Irish diaspora catholic boys from Liverpool plus Andy Murray are set to milk the Gullibillies for five years.
Who set up the Liverpool Kit ‘answer’? When SEVCO went public asking for any takers?
Smells like Brendan R & Stevie G helped fix this up!
Why don’t Liverpool use them or any other EPL clubs?
If you read the Castore press release Celtic and other clubs will be terrified to learn that the quality and materials to be used in the new Rangers kit is guaranteed to improve player performance, it’s that good and all that quality and material will be added at no extra cost to Joe Bloggs when he purchases his jersey!
Wow, though the fan base might not be over the moon to read that Castore has chosen Rangers as they are perceived as underdogs!
Hey! Remember! They play better as underdogs. Their own captain said it!
Alfie could bring back a planeload of the finest colombian talcum powder and it still wouldn’t improve their performance!
I see Castore has confirmed it’s deal with Rangers.
One of the biggest brands in sport, the most successful club in the world, glad that they have chosen us as their new kit supplier, says Castore.
Wow, someone at Ibrox has managed to sell them a pup.
The real reason of course why Castore has been chosen is that not one of the big guys in the business was remotely interested in getting into bed with the Ibrox club.
Lets see how things look in a few months time as the financial tsunami hits Ibrox and the spat with former kit suppliers and retailers hits the courts.

So it`s a “few months time” now is it? We`ve been hearing this kind of patter for too long now. About three or four years ago they only had days to live and they`ve been suffering the football equivalent of the caronavirus ever since then but they seem to have found a vaccine.
They are not going to go away, end of story, there are too many people in authority that won`t allow that to happen.
As for General Ashley: the least said about him and his tanks the better.
Time to concentrate the efforts on ensuring Celtic`s survival and supremacy.
Last year Rangers interims were leaked, a profit of £6m which turned into a loss of £14m when the annual audited accounts were released.
No one batted an eyelid, no one asked the very obvious question, what the feck?
I wonder if this year’s interims have managed to surpass last year’s profit which undoubtedly will turn into an 8 figure loss when the full year audited numbers are published.
Amazing how no one in the Scottish media asked the obvious question as in ‘ what the feck’ in reference to numbers that had been massaged to achieve a certain aim, flying in the face of FFP regulations and denying another Scottish club of an opportunity to earn some Euro coin.
With King having left the building whose stepped up to magic this year’s interims?
Is the signatory to the 2011/12 fraudulent UEFA licence application still on the premises?
In for a penny, in for a pound, eh?
The fact King left via the Fire Exit speaks volumes about the unreleased Interims.
There is no way he’d have left if things were salvageable or at the very least good enough to spin.
The end game is now upon them hence why they tried to force Doncaster into releasing the 2nd spot money early.
⏰ … 💣
Someone hinted at this in an earlier post but what is to stop Sevco and Castore or whoever making a deal on paper whereby Sevco sell shirts for £50, taking £49 of it and giving the supplier £1? They then offer Sports Direct the chance to match it and when obviously refused they renegotiate at a later date. Is there a time factor involved which would negate this?
A previous court judgement made it clear that the matching element of the SD contract was was not down to unit costs alone. Having the delivery and retail infrastructures was just as important and that is where SD can blow all but the really big boys out of the water.
A nice wee squirrel story about the kit deal today knowing we are being declared champions again tomorrow . Hoping to grab all the publicity with it and the headlines and no focus on us as 9 in a row champions . The thing is the Klan ain’t very happy about the announcement as thought they would be getting more than a kit deal out of the big press release . They ran with it on FF last night that gonnae geeze a wee Hudgie was to be seen with the kit on and that he had signed for the new club , oh and as well that sevco where moving to the EPL to play football there .
Rangers have been selling season tickets for weeks to a fan base that has been led to believe, with the help of the friendly Scottish media, that 9 IAR won’t happen on their watch.
What kind of story will they come up with when Celtic are crowned next week to keep the fans on board?
As reported last week the SPFL top 12 were unanimous in not opposing the league campaign being ended and like the other divisions the final places will be decided on an average points per game basis.
Are Rangers so desperate for a final SPFL payout that they have misled their fans, saying one thing to them but something else to the SPFL?
How else can this apparent about turn be explained?
Answers on a postcard please!
Hang on a moment, have I missed something?
A unanimous decision of the SPFL 12 to call the league finished and Celtic crowned 9 IAR Champions.
Has it missed the attention of the media that Rangers have swallowed their principles, as if, and are so desperate for cash that the thinly veiled campaign promoted by the media over the last few months has been binned, as has the hopes of their own fans.
They may not be the brightest but those who have been blinded by the Null and Void campaign and gone out and renewed season tickets are going to feel betrayed by a failed board who have led the Ibrox club to the brink.
9 years without a major trophy! That”s the stark reality of Kingco’s reign. Define failure!
Everything bar the kitchen sink has been thrown at preventing 9 IAR and they have failed miserably with the stark realisation that 10 IAR is a certainty as the black hole in their finances swallows them up.
Of course they can sell all their best players to fill the financial chasm, that in itself will be a SURRENDER YES message which even the dumbest fans on the planet will recognise no matter how the Scottish media dress it up.
We were told supermarkets were closing at 10pm to allow shelf restocking due to panic buying.
Now panic buying is a thing of the past can supermarkets return to 24/7 and this 10pm closure cease?
Or was it a complete lie all along to create a defacto nighttime curfew? Which is still in place?
There is no reason why folks can’t buy things at night just like during the day during the lockdown.
It actually reduces people at supermarkets at the same time. And on the roads travelling at the same time.
Stop the 10pm closure. There is no panic buying.
The tea-cosy hat beanie wearers are at it again on FF . Now we all know Celtic have a 13 point lead and make that 14 with goal difference, but the sevco Klan base fans are telling us it’s only 4 points . Oh dear they are giving themselves 3 points for the St Johnstone another 3 as they would best us at ibrox and another 3 with a win at Celtic park . Brilliant oh how we feel their pain . Obviously they have been taking a massive overdose of the DELUDIMOL tablets.
Is this comment about football?
[1]. If D.C. King was the Chairman and largest Shareholder of RIFC PLC then why did the SFA Ltd and SPFL Ltd do business with him and RIFC PLC/ TRFC LTD during his cold shoulder by the city of London?
Especially since it pertained to the taking over of a Scottish football club Plc through an unlawful concert party? The court action and guilty verdict pertained Specifically to Scottish football.
[2]. Shouldn’t LSE be taking issue with SFA Ltd and SPFL Ltd because of that continued business? Even now they do business with RIFC PLC/TRFC LTD and King is the largest Shareholder.
[3]. Why is RIFC PLC doing business and taking loans from Mr DC King when he is a pariah and cold shouldered by the City of London? and why do the SFA and SPFL allow this unchecked?
[4]. Why is companies House (SCOTLAND) not publicly showing charges against assets for RIFC PLC ? It does that for all other companies. Is SEVCO not informing Companies House about loans and charges breaking legislative requirements?
Question: Does the SFA have a policy or rule that accounts lodged with them for UEFA competition licenses have to be the same accounts prior lodged with Companies House?
Because if the SFA doesn’t have this policy or rule it damn well should have under FFP.
How can the SFA have diddy bullshit accounts whilst Companies House has received nothing? Companies House accounts are audited to strict legal requirements. These are the only accounts that matter for uefa licenses.
There is no legal requirement to audit interim accounts. Only full year accounts need to be audited. Why else do you think the interims of the last few years have been so positive?
Also, as sevco are not listed on the LSE there is NO action they can take.
Are you saying the annual audited accounts don’t get them into European football for some reason? And if so, what is the reason? Too much debt?
Absurd as it is, as far as I can make out, UEFA placings are based on interim accounts which don’t need to be audited. In fact I’m not even sure that there is a legal requirement for companies to produce interim accounts. Or maybe that’s dependent on the size of their turnover.
Whatever it’s also my understanding that under the UEFA FFP rules a club has to break even over over a set number of seasons. Three I think. Maybe five. Whichever it is sevco don’t come close to passing.
They have racked up Massive losses eight years in a row.
They have never been profitable since foundation in 2012.
Great questions!
Celtic will turn a blind eye just like they did in 2011. Why else have they been kicking Res 12 into the long grass for seven years?
the daily records current online front page headline is currently “man falls in burn”
its to journalism what smash hits was to music. don’t waste time on it and its writers, concentrate on the alleged serious newspapers.
Just listened to Snyde Super Scoreboard, tried to get on and ask if Hugh Keevins or Daryl Broadfoot if they could shed any light on the subject of this article Phil.
Surprise surprise, I never got in.
Broadfoot actually referred to the Rangers liquidation saga as, when Rangers were “ejected” from the league.
Another one in denial!!!!
Why listen to radio Clyde or bbc scotland?
If you must listen please don’t share.
For the same reason, if you don’t use your vote in an election, you shouldn’t criticise the Government.
And if you don’t wish to see posts about radio stations, just don’t read them.
Simple!!!
how can you tell what a post is about until you read it?
The first line of the comment tells you it’s commenting on a radio show, if you don’t like it, move on to the next comment.
Simple and clever.
simple but not clever.
I’ve had a spat with Broadfoot when he was a mouthpiece at Hampden.
He is a much laughed at figure within the Scottish media camp.
Given the amount of clowns in our football media it takes something special to be singled out by your peers as a figure of fun.
On top of that he’s just not a very nice person, as testified to by a former celebrity girl friend, eh Daryll?
I (and others) believe that Celtic PLC believe that it’s best if there’s a functioning Sevco moving forward .
Ergo what needs to be done to facilitate this will be done .
In effect you are saying what the Gullibillies have been shouting from the rooftops recently – Celtic/P. Lawwell run Scottish Football .
Really ?
So regardless of the financial FACTS , you think that the SFA will turn to Pistol Pete and ask for the decision on Sevco’s application for a Euro license ?
And I suppose if Uefa ask for details of the accounts big Pete will provide a set of accounts to satisfy them ?
There appears to be more than Corona-virus doing the rounds at the minute !
To keep tv revenue Celtic will abide. To keep fans when the team from ibrox fold again is the question..
Myself i will renew my ticket as thousands will , but i know i will let friends use my ticket, i wont tick for cup games as helping spfl, sfa, or sky.
Is morally wrong through the years were officials in charge hid away to earn bonus on a 2 team league.
Could the nonsensical mud slinging, the limp dossier, the sustained SMSM attacks and the personal attacks on the SPFL Board members…
be construed as ‘a shot across the bow’ to the SFA, for dragging their feet/brogues over the TRFC Euro license rubber stamping exercise?
Could it be the recent tantrum from sevco was because they were told the accounts were not up to scratch foe UEFA?
If the answer to #1 is yes then a another logical Q5 is why have they not been published to shareholders?
The answer to the first question may well be Yes, but I think Amy Winehouse summed up the answer to the other three questions quite succinctly in her song, entitled Rehab. 😉
As an old and bold salesman I was always taught that you should never ask a question if you didn’t already know the answer. You’re a salesman Phil. 🙂
Call me a pessimist…or a cynic…but either way I can’t see this becoming an issue.
Not because it shouldn’t be…because it most definitely should…but because this Club and its former entity have been allowed to get away with murder for over a Century.
Religious discrimination…Masonic influence in all areas….Tolerance of Racists….EBT’s…Side Letters….Tax dodging…European Licenses…. Incomplete accounts…how long do you have ?
The bottom line is…they have survived scandals that no other Club could …and its all thanks to the system, which has been to their benefit for over one hundred years.
I sincerely hope I’m wrong….but I don’t think anything will change soon….notwithstanding their recent attacks on the SPFL.
The fact that they are still here and in people’s faces…is astonishing to say the least.
I await the near future with interest.
I’m pretty sure the accounts would have been perfectly submitted in crayon on the back of a fag packet , with the assurances of don’t worry too much about this or that , it will be all right on the night , and mr park says they’re good for the money , it’s just this covid thingy that’s creating a bit of bother , just tell UEFA , to blame everyone anyone etc , and not to worry , we are the people after all ! What’s to worry about ?
Ach we all know that there’s something afoot and you know what, it wouldn’t surprise me if Doncaster had reservations about Rankers getting a UEFA spot and questions he may had had about the loans scenario which now sees Park rounding on him.
I can imagine the convo.
DP: Neil, how are ya?
ND: Not bad Dougie and your good self?
DP: Aye, alright, this league thing we’re facing, was thinking you guys could shimmy along a bit and get the licence sent upstairs?
ND: Well, there’s a few….
DP: …..Ahem, now now Neil don’t…
ND: Don’t what….
DP: Don’t be acting like a Fenian now…..
ND: I take offence to that….
DP: Soon as you stop acting like a Fenian I’ll stop treating you like a Fenian now run along and do what your told.
I am sure there’s absolutely no truth in that, but I can imagine
Did you put a tap on Doncaster’s phone? 😀
Aye a CELTIC Tap
UEFA license’s are cleared by the SFA not the SPFL.
However, since the interim accounts of the last few years have been a pile of shite and completely divorced from reality, I wonder if someone in a position of power somewhere within Scottish football has asked for a bit more scrutiny this year. Maybe ND? Or MMacL? If this WAS the case it would explain the personal nature of the attacks on the SPFL.
Uefa extended the deadline to April 30th Phil. It’s well past now eitherway. They must be worth the reading.
