It is at times like this that we need humour in our lives.
Here on Planet Fitba, we can always rely on that famed double act of Sevco and the Stenography Corps to come up with new hilarious material.
I thought that the Far East Investor story would last a bit, longer than this.
So, apparently Mr Gibson’s imminent arrival at Edmiston Drive with £20m has been somewhat exaggerated.

The Daily Radar quotes a source close to the Scot stating that:
“Stuart thinks it’s still a bit premature to make any official statement. He’s considering investing in the club but he has not been in talks regarding taking over the club from Dave King. He’s just a well-meaning fan trying to support the club.
“In the meantime, Stuart will continue to focus on his business in Asia.”
The chaps at the Daily Radar really must try harder.
A key part of genuine journalism is “questions answered, answers questioned”.
For the avoidance of doubt, neither of these Fourth Estate functions are adequately carried out by the chaps on the sports desk in Glasgow when it comes to matters Ibrox.
After all, they told you that this chap was a billionaire.

One would have thought that they would, therefore, have been a tad cautious before trumpeting a new wealthy benefactor for a club playing at Ibrox.
One story that they could try their hand at is the appointment of the new communications chap at Sevco.
Quite simply the starting point should be the following:
Cui bono?

The chap he is replacing had a long career in print journalism.
Now, as we have seen his attempts to transfer his skillset from the newspapers over into PR world rather crashed and burned with Translategate.

In recent days I have asked several experienced Belfast journalists about the new guy.
Interestingly, they could not unearth any information that pointed to Mr Graham having any PR experience whatsoever.
So, what does he bring to the table?
My information is that a member of the Sevco High Command reached out to him.
Therefore, it wasn’t a case of the DUP chap hopefully submitting his Quintessentially British resume.
I know of the identities of three chaps working ion the Scottish media who had done just that with the hope of at least an interview.
Instead, it was Mr Graham who was asked to step aboard HMS Sevco.
At this point, I am only left to speculate.
For example, is he a conduit for further investment from the North East of this country?
Possibly.
However, that sector has been already thoroughly explored by both Charles of Normandy and the current regime.
Another possible explanation for hiring a PR rookie is that because of his background he will be able to sell an unpalatable message to the Ibrox klanbase.
That’s merely more speculation on my part.
However, these questions should be asked by the local media.
Of course, dear reader, we both know that there is little chance of that happening.
Have a safe day.

I wonder how any sevco fans of an LGBT persuasion will receive Mr. Graham and vice versa given the DUP’s stance on the issue of gay marriage.
Now that the blue pound is in peril they now require the orange pound.
I find the Graham Spier’s quote more excruciating and intelligence insulting than anything Jabba could come up with. “Progressive” “decent guy ” “No Surrender” all within two sentences. Give us a break!
I see those clowns at the Evening Times has compared declaring the SPFL champions issue with that of Spain.
2 points between Barca and Real so the Spanish FA have declared that they won’t declare a winner if games are voided.
It’s hardly a comparison with Scotland with Celtic effectively 14 points in front, having dropped 10 points in total to date over 30 games and would have to drop 15 points over the last 8 fixtures, thats if Rangers win 27 points from their final 9 games.
Fucking obsessed.. Why the obsession mate. Why keep writing about rangers haha.. Get a grip clown
Why you reading a blog you obviously hate, obsessed. Crawl back in your hole you feckin Muppet.
Remember stay safe out there, that means you as well Muppet.
Hail Hail
A rookie manager to go with the Klans rookie PR GUY as the auld advert goes from Cadburys chocolate from a few years back (everyone’s a fruit & nut case ) . They would have to be to appoint this guy . On another matter Hearts are gubbed but not as much as Sevco a certain blogger no names mentioned has put it out there today they have 10 days to save themselves. Now this might be fiction it might be fact but this blogger has been wrong in the past .
It beggars belief that anyone with even an ounce of common sense would invest in a loss making company in the current economic climate and as for the appointment of an inexperienced PRO the mind boggles.
maybe they hope to tap into the millions the DUP received as a bribe
from uk government
Paul…I think it was a BILLION they received…someone will correct me if I’m wrong…but…like you I had the same thought.
There is no sane or sensible reason for this appointment, other than that, as far as I’m concerned.
Or is that too far fetched…or not possible..?
Any thoughts Phil…?
Funny but that one crossed my mind as well. Would take some creative accounting but then again they’ve been doing that for years.
I dont mean to come across as being somewhat rude, or derisory, but where would any NI investment come from? By that, I mean that the likes of an international company, or a high-profile UK company.
The likes of Short Bros, or Harland & Wolff are no more, so there would be no investment there. The only source of investment that David Graham could possibly entice would be that of the bigot pound!!
‘a tad cautious before trumpeting’ Phil they don’t do caution,it’s always thrown to the wind.
They have no cares,so,they won’t show caution.Cautiously aware isn’t for the entitled, that’s for people that actually care for,and actively seek, the opinions of others and their perspectives.
Caution and sevco simply don’t go hand in hand.
Your bang on about the disgrace that is Scottish sports journalism, mainly football, but that’s old news.
Thanks for the update.🍀G’luck.
