Loyal teammates and leaky caravans

I’m afraid that Sevco isn’t a very happy place at the moment.

I understand that there was yet another bust-up on the battlefields of Auchenhowie yesterday.

Senor Pedro Miguel Faria Caixinha was reading the riot act on the importance of keeping things in-house.

He didn’t name names but everyone in the assembled throng knew who he was referring to.

At that point, another veteran Scottish player weighed in to back up his teammate.

I know the identity of the guy who called out Pedro but I’m not a grass.

Like the Congress of Vienna, the meeting broke up in some disarray.

Then this morning the Sevco High Command was in conclave and were awaiting the telephonic presence of Mr David Cunningham King.

Alas, at the very end he had to call off and this sad news was transmitted via a third party.

I also understand that Mr King wanted the Magnificently Maned factotum to take his place in the dignified conclave.

However, this was not agreed to by the chaps in the Blue Room.

The meeting did go ahead and the looming issue of the year-end accounts was discussed.

Amazingly it was at this sit down that some of the Sevco High Command found out for the first time the exact state of play apropos some of the summer transfers.

That is, they were appraised of the tranches that are due for some of Pedro’s acquisitions.

Perhaps that vignette shines a light on the dysfunction within the Sevco High Command.

All in all perfect preparation for a League Cup semi-final on Sunday.

  1. The BBC report said King was seen at the back of the stand for the semi final. So they can have that meeting in person now. …

  2. Mr Mac, Consistently, tremendous, ground-breaking news, in parallel with the institutionalised obfuscation of all things true in the Scottish Main-Stream Media, and further afield.
WHAT A FUCKING COUNTRY MY HOMELAND HAS BECOME. Huns/Masons. Not new, but makes me weep. Or get pissed-off and consider what Democratic means may be available. Je ne…….
I’ll now send a wee contribution to your costs, with thanks for your continued diligence in the much-needed expose of all things hun, masonic and hierarchically privileged.

  3. Looking and listening to some of the crap printed or voiced post Munich I sense there was organised campaign aimed at Celtic and Brendan.
Not ambitious, Brendan will get bored, just some of the nonsense foisted upon us, then the loonies suggesting Newco or the Dons could do better!
Look how much Arsenal has spent ,yet Bayern took 10 off them last year. Not ambitious enough Gunners, must try better.
On a record turnover Celtic ended up with a £6m profit in the last annual financial results because almost all of the money goes back into the club and provides the money to continue domestic domination.
There is no slush fund, we spend what we bring in and run a tight ship.
Those levelling these accusations are stirring it up…… Is there any guarantee that if Celtic had bought a centre half for £5m then the result in Munich would have been different?
The media will do anything to avoid discussion on the financial tsunami heading for Govan. No one wants to discuss the impact of King declaring himself skint……this is the big story which they dare not talk about.

    • Spot on Joe. The hun media will be awash with the usual bollocks about Brendan having no ambition, top European clubs wanting him, —– (add name of any English team here) chasing Brendan Rodgers etc etc etc. Change the record FFS . In Brendan we trust. Hail Hail.

    • Not ALL pish, but not far away from it, ‘Joe’.
Are you, or are you related to, Mister Fucking Lawwell?
Your 1st para seemed okay and then the mental rant came out; hysterical, maybe.?
Propaganda is readily swallowed by fools,
and those poor fuckers whom are hard of thinking .
      I’m probably both, and I may just blunder through;
However, I may just decide to ask awkward questions,
And refuse to give in until the free-masonic bastards are fully exposed.
I’m a Celtic shareholder; one who’s not afraid to ask ‘silly’ questions.
Should you wish to maintain your, IMO, board-placed status,
I’ll be listening and reporting back to honest Tims.
Apart from that, ‘Joe’ (Doe?) prove your identity by challengeing the Tory scum that occupy our board-room.
I may well have ‘lost the plot’ but I’ll regain it and make sure that, that Tory bastard shower will be so uncomfortable at CP, they’ll fall on their swords; should they need pushing, I’m fine with that.
      FC, not PLC.

You may want to re-consider your position, ‘Joe’.

  4. If the board are unaware that most transfers are done on an installment basis then perhaps they shoudn’t be on the board!
Last audited accounts were published in October 2016. As auditors are creatures of habit no reason to believe that the timetable should be any different this time around.
However with King, and NOAL, removed from the picture we are looking at an entirely different ball game.
We know that the remaining concert party are in for up to £10m of their hard earned cash.
Prospect of repayment……..slim to none unless Celtic’s cheque from UEFA is delivered to the wrong address.
Convert loans to equity from a share issue……again unlikely with the Club a pariah in the City and question marks remaining over ownership of the assets.
As in previous years there will be a going concern note placed in the accounts narrative by the auditors.
This will be dependent on the board/ concert party supplying the auditors with cast iron guarantees that they will cover all losses and future cash calls as and when they arise over the next 12 months. With King gone it would be remiss of the auditors not to ask for proof of funds from those still on board.
Put yourself in their position, rock and a hard place is appropriate. Already in for millions and you are being asked to sign a blank cheque for more?
That could be enough to scare at least one or two off which then increases the future liabilities of those remaining.
It’s a frightening scenario for those involved because if they stop writing the cheques they will be forever be tarred as the guys who put Newco into admin and will never be able to show their faces at Ibrox again.
Oh how they must be regretting getting on that Dave King bus.

  5. i read your blog everyday and enjoy it Phil.
However, as I have mentioned and asked previously the blog loses some credibility when i think back to the Ibrox roof story and the nets – still no sign of them.
    Any update?
Do you still stand over this?

  6. Eight and a half days r’n’r between games compared to Celtic’s two? Still, I suppose ageing bones need more time and they need all the ruckus’n’rioting they deserve.

  7. Ah well, all’s well that ends ‘WELL, that will surely be the case on the Sabbath. It is no surprise that DCK did not call in on Friday if you are penniless the Molly Malone is probably cut off, Oh dear. The Laquered Maned one was dismissed simply because he has an empty purse. The vignette only shines a light on an empty bottomless begging bowl.

  8. Isn’t there some sort of deadline for publishing the accounts ? And more importantly an announcement of date for the AGM?

I wonder if the gazebo has been booked?!
