I was struck by the Off The Radar certitude this morning apropos Senhor Pedro Miguel Faria Caixinha.
Therefore, I was very surprised to be told this afternoon by an impeccable source that the chap’s current club Al-Gharafa had only been contacted today by the Holding Company Vehicle.
Yes, dear reader, the Sevco High Command reached out today.
Given the lavish coverage in the Scottish mainstream about Senhor Faria Caixinha being on his way to Ibrox the Arab club might have cause to be miffed about this.
That part of the world produced a nomadic trading culture.
Consequently, they love to haggle over a deal.
However, you do need to get in touch with someone before the negotiations can begin.
I have witnessed heated negotiations in many a souk, and it is a wonderful type of local performance art as well as a commercial transaction.
It is important to acknowledge the other side as the haggling commences.
Failure to do so can cause offence, especially, if you’re trailing it as a done deal via your shills in the local media.
However, I’m sure that it will all work out swimmingly.
That is because the Sevco High Command is fortunate indeed to be able to call upon a young man who has demonstrated in the past his nuanced grasp of Arab culture.
Step forward Charlie Sevco!
For the avoidance of doubt, not all clubs are so blessed with this type of talent.

Why oh why does someone not grow a set of balls (Peter Lawell) and talk to the right people and end this toxic club once and for all.
Before last weekend the Portuguese Messiah was only 48 hours away, but now it will be next week after the New Firm match. This is beginning to sound like Caixinha Is a Nomad.
‘And I wonder as I wander
Who loves the Rangers* ..?’
No one else could give credence to this story …
It would not at all like any Ranjurs-flavored entity to tap someone up …
I’m sure that the owners of this club from one of the world’s most renowned free thinking and liberal nations would be delighted to learn of their former directors views on the Prophet
This article showcases PMcG at his sardonic best. Good, good writing – and from the heart.
I fear the wheel hath come full circle…Well almost. Mr.Mastertons prophetic, marble staircase shattering words of “you can have a mid table Rangers, or no Rangers at all” may be regurgitated by the man not often North of the Limpopo. More power to your good self Phil, Spes Unica.
I love the irony of a loss making club without a credit line from a bank talking about appointing a man whose name can be translated as ” cash box” or “slush fund”.
Time to get in touch with peta etc …. I have over the daily rangers articles about the fearless heroic bullfighter ….. a tosser like this and the Huns are richly deserving to be together but the vile man needs to know how his second “sport” is viewed here ……. and that paper needs taken to account for their articles… can u imagine if Celtic were about to employ a bullfighter???? The articles ?!?!?!
How smart of Sevco to go for a manager that won’t be put off by the permanent bullshit at Ibrox.
Arise, Crisp Graham!
Ye shall know him by his derangersed statements when Jabba’s not been paid.
I bet he hasn’t even considered the amount of bull he’ll have to fight in the media here either.
Will the High Command show equal cultural sensitivity when they tell Pedro no to bless himself before matches? That Portuguese truth-seeking tendency may also be problematic:
“It is not surprising that religion is important in the culture; Portugal is 97% Catholic. Similarly the cavaleiros bless themselves, asking God for protection while in the ring with the bull. Metaphorically each of the participants in the bullfight seeks truth. For example, the cavaleiros test their control of horse and bull, each time being more daring and trying riskier moves. The forcados each search for truth and test their courage by facing the bull head on. For the most part, the Portuguese seek inner truth and strength, and they believe that actions speak louder than words.”

Bullfighters are cunts.
That is all.
Hear, hear Peter !
Sevco are fighting a losing battle if they even think they have a chance of getting a manager any better than what they have now as a stand in. What manager in their right mind would go to a club that the fans demand you to win every game and especially against Celtic. With absolutely no money what so ever to spark of!
And with ‘dirty tricks’ to get the last management team out the door without pay! First off you would probably want to see how the last manager went wrong! Then see how he spent his time a Sevco, on his knees beggin out of contract player’s to sign for him.
You would need to be very fkin Stupid or just extremely stupid to want that gig.
I find that surprising,in fact really surprising, that the media have him signing up this week and they sevco have just as of now let’s say, just contacted this fine Portugal man. If senor portugal as any brain cells I would give this rancid club a big wide birth. Honestly, they couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery. Total shambles of an outfit, and getting worse by each passing day. Long Live Dave King HH.
Indeed Phil!. Having lived and worked there for a number of Years, Not Taking People for Granted, and above amm “Showing Respect”, are just core Starters for any decent discussions, let alone “Negotiations”. Perfect example of Sevconian Arrogance.., which of course has already Proved Costly!.
