I’m told that the Serious Professional made several attempts on Saturday to contact various members of the Sevco High Command.
My understanding is that he initially tried to call a magnificently maned factotum.
However, that immaculately coiffed chap was, at that very moment, selflessly accepting the hospitality of the KPMG chaps at the rugby.
The Serious Professional then tried several other well-placed directors, but they were also incommunicado.
My information is that he also tried to directly contact the esteemed chairman who remains happily ensconced south of the Limpopo.
However, the South African based entrepreneur prefers all internal communications to go through various Levels.
The reasons for these attempts was to elicit a firm decision from the High Command of the appointment of a common or garden manager or even a director of fantasy.
He realises that this hiatus cannot continue as Sevco’s valued customers are somewhat fretting at the failure to appoint a successor to the Admirable Warburton.
Apparently, it was deemed necessary for several members of the Sevco entourage at Inverness on Friday night to linger within the confines of the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium until The People had dispersed.
This morning the Serious Professional told the Blue Room chaps that a Director of Football would want clearly defined budgets and the Holding Company Vehicle simply doesn’t have that in their gift.
Perhaps he should have reminded the Sevco High Command that the four-year-old club was a loss-making business without a credit line from a bank.

I enjoy reading your articles Phil, but as an outsider (provincial team supporter) currently ensconced in the North East of England, I often lose track of who’s who when descriptions such as ‘”serious professional” or “magnificently maned factotum” are used.
Any chance of an outsiders guide to the Ibrox shenanigans featuring a definitions/descriptions page?
I’m hearing roumours from the season ticket people that they want administration to get rid off the likes of Big Mike and other debts etc …don’t think Big Mike will let or allow that to happen as he a share holder in the sinking club ..But the people are a bit thick and think they can start a fresh with no debt ..we are the people we can walk away don’t pay debt and start again ….good luck with that reasoning ♂️♂️♂️

When you have every high ranking handshaker in the land trying to assist you, you tend to get ideas above yer station, no matter how low yer station may be.
As all evidence and expectation shows, this mob should have been sunk long ago yet, somehow, they keep slithering through the loop, despite the fact it’s an illegal racket breaking every rule in the book.

I heard from a good source that they had allegedly approached a former player and a former manager to take on the roles of manager and Director of Football respectively.
Two key aspects of the approach allegedly are 1) the manager could not be currently employed because compensation could not be paid and 2) the the DoF could not be currently employed for the same reason nor could he be considered as the manager as it would void previous contracts still be paid up.
DeBoer and Mitchell they are not. Interesting times ahead in terms of PR spin.

(2) As you know through the DM era I was a senior executive at a major U.K. Bank and a Board Member.

Beware the Ides of March! the good ship Sevco is sailing through a sea filled with icebergs. Any one of Ashley, The 3 Sacked or BDO would sink the ship. Bailing out the leaky ship by Douglas Park in January and February will not be sufficient in March when they lose a court battle. Yet the Bears cry out ” Full steam ahead!” They think Sevco is unsinkable but it’s not.
How cool when radio clyde,Keevins, Murdo and BFDJ get shat on for the backstabbing comments on Mark Warburton. They all stuck to the script.
The tide is turning and down South managers see what happened up here and do not agree with it, it is nothing short of bullying.
The bottom line,as BFDJ is knowing for saying, Sevco are skint regardless of Warburton and Weir etc, you could not afford them and you threw them out and brought in an under 20s coach out of his depth.
It’s three weeks today from the phantom resignations. The failure to appoint either a director of football or a new/interim manager speaks to discord and chaos behind the scenes.
The good ship Sevco is circling the drain. I suspect we may getting close to the end of days.

Phil, I see today that some of the English tabloids are know using the ‘sacking’ word in relation to the ibrox 3…interesting that I don’t yet see that in Scotland.
Well if they are trying to hire someone with any credibility then they will see right through DK holding his finger in the air and thinking of a number.
So if it to be someone credible then if he didn’t have a budget on Sunday I doubt very much he’ll accept what he’s told on Monday.
If he’s credible that is.
Good luck to them if they take the job they can’t say there’s no precedent to base any employment decision they take.

But,the very fact that Farry Berguson was given/bestowed an MBE,has left me firstly,in shock,and secondly in total fits of laughter.He was awarded this ‘honour’ for winning two league titles with rfc(rip).That is down right laughable.Remember his antics on the Scotland bench,Barry Fingers etc……totally befits an award from her maj…..of course.!
