The ghost of Sevco past popped into the inbox of a valued source recently.
When he read it, he was on the phone to me as soon as he could get a hold of me.
He said that the email advised him that RIFC/ TRFC/Sevco had formally withdrawn the arbitration that they had filed with the SFA apropos the players who Did Walking Away in 2012.
I understand that the claim was withdrawn on the basis that all parties pick up their own costs.
For some reason, the Holding Company Vehicle decided not to proceed with this matter.
Perhaps their excellent PR person, Peace Be Upon Him, can clarify this matter.
However, for the avoidance of doubt pesky emails are out there to counter any Sevconian spin.
I was informed that the missive in question is dated March 11th, 2016.
Any stenographer out there could ask the SFA if they had a document formally filed with them by the current Rangers withdrawing the action against Kyle Lafferty, Steven Naismith and Steven Whittaker et al.
This puts to bed the fiction that the players who left in 2012, when Rangers were liquidated, were ever part of the new club.
