The Away End podcast

The Away End was the brainchild of a group of journalism students two years ago. Initially planned as a print magazine, it has developed more as an online production, looking to evolve with the changing world of new media; producing online magazines and supplements, podcasts, videos, and soon to be exclusive documentaries.

Although anyone and everyone with a passion for Scottish sport can get involved, the team are mainly made up of journalism students aiming to get published, and includes interviews, features, match reports, previews, blogs/columns.

The Away End is closely associated with the new sports journalism degree at the University of the West of Scotland, and as that course grows and becomes established, hopefully so will the website.

The Podcast gives the  team the chance to voice their opinions on all the major happenings in Scottish Football and debate the issues which effect fans across the country.

You can read about all the news and views from their  team of writers on www.theawayend.net and listen to our weekly podcast at http://theawayend.libsyn.com/
In this week’s podcast (number 41) Daniel and Matt ask me about my journalism over the past two years.
