Earlier this week I reported that the Sevco High Command was in the market for lawyers in Fair Caledonia.
Now I know EXACTLY why.
An impeccably well-placed source contacted me late last night with the following information.
At the end of last week, the folks at Elite/Hummel reached out to the Blue Room.
Now, of course, I’m paraphrasing, but the import of the message was as follows:
“We are prepared to have an adult discussion about this.
Going to court will be expensive for both of us.
You know that you’re in the wrong and that we have documentary evidence to prove it.”
Essentially, it was an offer to come to an out of court settlement.
My information is that the sportswear folk did not receive an answer.
Instead, as we already know, Sevco went to market to hire ANOTHER lawyer.
That, in itself, was a telling reply to this olive branch approach.
Now, the eight-year-old club might well get a result in the Court of Session on this one.
However, I would not be surprised is Elite/Hummel countersued in the High Court in London.
So, the grown-ups in this dispute wanted a deal whereby they did not line the pockets of the legal fraternity.
Just like their team on the field, it appears that no one is doing joined-up thinking at Sevco at the moment.
So, míle buíochas to that source and to all of the folk who take risks to provide me with high-grade information on the Ibrox shitshow.

They must need, cash that bad to get too, the end of the season they are prepared to go to court to buy “time”. Incredible misuse of corporate governance. Patch up Stevie, get the Season Ticket money in to pay him off, and then drop the bombshell, he decided leave after he got “bored”at home to Stranraer……but left it 6 months to fleece ra peepul.
The problem they have – it’s Half Time, almost – since Celtic and NFL set about 9 and 10. The have spent it large in the first half, much like they did before when Senor Pedro was dishing out £10k a week contracts to the cartel….. they never learn. Their idea is too use Elite/Hummel money to fund the second half, well …….it didn’t work out too well for Pedro.
When you rob, Peter to pay Paul….it buys only time, BUT at some point Matthew, Mark, Luke and John all turn up to collect.

I see the Daily Sevco has turned on Slippy today dangerous stuff if you ask me . If the PR department at ibrox are thinking of hounding Mr Me Me out the door with some bad press Gerrard has more friends in the English press that could blow the Scottish mugs out the water . So the Daily Sevco and others are skating on thin ice here trying to go down this road . This is not the Breadman or the other guy fighting with a hedge who had nobody to back them up in the press this is a guy with a bit of sway in the press down south . The press up here and the clubs PR department should be a bit more careful but hey there are some people you just can’t get through to . As they are always right and everyone else is wrong.
