When Mr David Cunningham King was planning the Off Licence Putsch, he told a roomful of adoring stenographers that the club needed “soft investment”.
They missed the historical significance of being at a public event where the convicted criminal was telling the truth.

Mr King succeeded massively in getting otherwise savvy businessmen (they were all men) to plunder their personal wealth to keep Sevco on the road.
The news that Mr Douglas Park has departed is, perhaps, nothing more than an acknowledgement that his time as a soft investor in the Blue Room was over.
His replacement Mr Bennet is also the real deal, an emotionally committed fan with considerable personal wealth.
The comms were surprisingly professional when the little hand struck Statement O Clock at Ibrox.

This is what happens when you sideline the DUP…
The Daily Radar is indeed fortunate to have a business expert on hand to explain what happens next.
Here is Keith…

This nonsense should be looked at as part of Operation Soothe.
Of course, the man who told the world that Craig Whyte was a billionaire has campaign medals in the effort to keep the Ibrox klanbase misinformed.
Over the years, I have harboured a small hope that Mr Jackson would professionally develop and understand at least some of the basics.
I remember the state of his… ahem… reporting back in 2011 and 2012.
Dear reader, I actually felt for him.
Alas, perhaps Upton Sinclair’s cynicism was right all along.

In life, timing is pretty much everything, and it seemed a strange day for this one.
I thought it interesting that a Rangers icon who is definitely close to Mr King broke cover rather quickly after the announcement was made that Mr Park was leaving.

The message was not what the Ibrox klanbase wanted to hear as they brace for impact next Saturday.
Mr Park provided much-needed funds over the years to keep HMS Sevco afloat.
Despite a series of debt-for-equity swaps, it is doubtful that he will ever see any of that money back.
Consider this, why would a club that received Champions League Group Stage revenue from UEFA in December be issuing share confetti in March to raise £1.9m?

Dear reader, imagine that Michael Nicholson faced some overdue payables that amounted to £1.9m.
Would the Parkhead outfit be issuing shares to raise the working capital?
The local media would be all over it like dignified hyenas.
The reality is that £1.9m should be one up from a petty cash voucher for a club like Sevco with their turnover and UEFA revenue, follow follow the money.
Always.

bennett does not have considerable personal wealth
he does compared to you and i but not sugar daddy for a football club level wealth
Bennett is estimated to eb worth £34mill
WHat Bennett does have is connections to people of high to very high wealth through his career in banking and as head of equity trading at Janus
the guy was a run of the mill banker at the clydesdale bank then made some good career moves into trading and would have made some large bonuses in the 6 and possibly 7 figure ranges in his career.
DUring that career he would ahve made a lot of useful connections. How many want to invest in a 13 year old company that has never made a profit i dont know but he ahs brought some investors to teh table.
Park didnt want to invest another penny IMHO and stepped back when more funds were needed
Park who is worth several hundred millions does have a lot of wealth but most of his wealth is tied up in his business like most wealthy people
I would think bennett might be seeking a buyer for sevco or he will try and get them to live within their means like the bankers did that ashley put in
the sevco hordes will not like that especially if we pump them saturday and in the semi final
Can a zombie die ?
I find it hard to believe that there isn’t some connection. Park leaves and more shares issued. Makes me think that Park can see the writing on the wall and decided enough was enough and get out before it gets really messy!
They had a share issue last month as well.
How does this fit with UEFA & their FSR?
Would be interesting to know if Park is selling / has already sold his shares…?
He has almost 12% to King’s 14%.
And is Graeme Park remaining a Director?
