This is actually becoming rather amusing.
The absence of transfer activity at Ibrox is stretching the churnalistic sinews of even the most loyal in the Stenography Corps.
Take this one, for example.

“Rangers linked” check.
“Unplayable” check.
However, that non-story has nothing on this “going for fifty-five” extravaganza from Mr Barry Ferguson EBT.
“Barry Ferguson is confident Rangers can recoup £55million from player sales this summer if they are forced to sell some of their first-team stars.”
Good grief.
Alan Morrison of Celtic By Numbers was entirely justified in his guffawing incredulity.

Meanwhile, REAL stories are swirling around Edmiston Drive.
Tonight I heard from a well-placed source who told me that Mr David Cunningham King is once again whispering in a few Quintessentially British ears.
The narrative being proferred from Johannesburg is that if Dave were still in the Blue Room, then it would be the Rainjurzz making the signings, not the other lot at Parkhead.
To add to the current woes of the Sevco High Command, do not be surprised if Big Mike has another online exclusive soon for the next bit of quality Castore merchandise.
Dear reader, you may recall the Stenography Corps putting out the line that the Sports Direct chaps had nothing to do with Sevco anymore.
Remember that one?

I don’t understand Dave King’s game here. Presumably he got out with his money back. And presumably if he gets back in it will be using OPM. But why would he actually want in now? Wouldn’t he be better off waiting for the current regime to stumble and get into (further) financial difficulty?
If Mike Ashley Won the court case does that mean the contract is re-instated regardless of the damages he’s already won?
Therefore when the contract comes back up for renewal he has chance to match any deal again ?
It would be no surprise at all to discover that Ashley has once again outplayed the The Rangers board. He’s probably tightened his grip on rights and merchandise even further. That seems to have been his pattern over the whole existence of The Rangers.
The stay relevant club and fans always want to punt their players. It’s in their Kulchur. Personally I don’t get it as a business plan. Problem with that is no other club wants their inflated (financially and in skill) stars and they know any decent offer will be enough for the skint club. I think they will lose a couple of players, Aribo is their best asset imo and I hope he goes on the last day of the transfer window to be replaced by a freebie looking for a pension boost. Of course heralded as a brilliant piece of business with Jilllions in add-ons.. Can’t wait for the new Castore/Mike twist, big guy is getting mileage from their relationshsips.
