Gushing stenography and the shy messiah

I was saddened to hear that the latest Ibrox messiah was less than Zenlike about his name being leaked to the Stenography Corps.

My information is that he wanted his recce of the Sevco operation to be kept quiet.

Ah well…

Now, a cynic might conclude that a certain demob happy inter-galactic PR guru was being a bit mischievous.

I, of course, couldn’t possibly comment.

Now, the Daily Radar did have some facts spot on.

I know, I know, it can happen.

First off Mr Gibson IS a genuine fan

There’s no doubt about that.

As for the putative £20m then that most likely resided in continental United States rather than in the Far East.

My information, from a very well-placed source, was that if there was to be an investment it would be on the following basis:

  • Mr King would have to go.
  • The club would be run on a self-sustainable basis.

So, this was going to be a genuine investment, not a charitable contribution.

In the meantime, the world that Covid-19 has created needs to be addressed.

I’m told that there was a conference call this week involving all of the Sevco High Command with the exception of the Convict Chairman.

However, he was supplied with a transcript of the dignified conclave.

The situation that was disclosed to me is entirely in keeping with Rugger Guy’s stark analysis.

During that dignified sit down the Serious Professional stated that there was an immediate requirement for a cash injection from the directors.

My own view is that this would be an opportune moment to give those fine fellows in Club 1872 a seat on the board.

I think they would bring some Churchillian resolve to the discussions in the Sevco war room.

Folk who will not cut and run when the going gets tough.

Ah yes, I can see it all now…

For the avoidance of doubt, if you think that the Serious Professional was indulging in some hyperbole then it is worth noting that the basket of assets has some of the highest-paid players in Scotland.

I would not be surprised if the eight-year-old club had to start looking at some serious cost-cutting rather soon.

However, that’s mere speculation on my part.

  1. I see those nutters at Ibrox noise are still churning out nonsense to satisfy their readership.
On the merchandising front they say that Celtic have an ‘alleged’ new deal with Adidas.
    Alleged, really?
Whilst the latest front runner for the Rangers gig is Macron, Italian outfit I believe.
No doubt whoever picks up the merchandising baton with Rangers will have their legal eagles all over existing and previous contracts to ensure that they too don’t become emmersed in further disputes with past/current providers.
Oh and Barasic, despite his fall from world class performer, is now valued at £25m plus.
Not so long ago a certain po faced Colombian was valued way more than that.
Oh how quickly things change in football.

  2. I had given the new PR guru till Xmas before being shown the door.
I’m revising that to the end of April as more of his previous social media posting becomes public.
Also won’t be helped by the negative press thrown at him from those in the Scottish media who had put themselves forward to fill Traynor’s giant boots.
    Everyone/anyone…..gie’s a break!

  3. Doncaster in rag stating VAR not good as you get accuracy and correct decisions at the sacrifice of passion, excitement and drama.

    You couldn’t make it up.

Passion and drama from ref wrong decisions is better than correctness in Scotland.

The license to cheat goes on.

    • He carps about the £160m sea change Sky contract but dismisses VAR as too expensive as it could cost up to seven figures (£1m). Plonker.

If the SFA can magik up an un-budgeted £1.5m for hard up clubs, clubs that should have been more professional with their money, then the game has up to £1m for VAR.

The English have VAR and are no less passionate, get no less excited and have no less drama than Scots.

VAR creates drama and excitement whilst awaiting the decision as fans can see the replays themselves on big screens. VAR is a win win.

  4. Don’t know why the Ibrox club is casting it’s net so widely to raise cash when they have a genuine multi millionaire sitting in the dug out.
Perhaps its Stevie G’s turn to put his hand in his pocket and back his own judgement?
Of course reimbursement will follow when his team reach the group stages of the Champions League, season 21/22 at the very earliest as things stand.
Of course the fall out from the Sports Direct disaster, and possibly from Hummel and Elite, may well sink the good ship Rangers.
The new PR guru will at this very moment be working on output that will point the finger at the Coronavirus when in fact the damage was totally self inflicted.
Of course there will still be cheer leaders in the press willing to run with his fabrication, it was always thus.

  5. Phil; They are like the famous Norwegian Blue, they are an ex-club. Put another way, Friar Tucked!

Oh wait, I forgot that they have a saving grace. That Chairman guy down by the Limpopo. Doesn’t he have some family fortune and he said he would reach in his own pocket to cover the club?

Yeah, that’s it. He’ll reach deep to make sure they are covered! 😁

    • blow the kids inheritance was his war cry if I remember correctly Peter and they swallowed it hook line and sinker. Their troubles are only beginning and they will do the usual and blame everything and everyone else for their failure to properly manage the new holding vehicle.

      • When ousting Ashley he intimated he and the three bears would put in £50m, of which £30m would be his.

I’m under the impression he has put in the most at £14m. So perhaps £25m has gone in and he doubled up for his pitch to gullibles. Kicking off the fan boycott.

Fans fell for it and backed a Real Rangers Shyster. But they’ll love him as they love SDM. That’s why they are known as gullible.

  6. I think Scots kids should get all Scottish Uni places this year and the thousands of places given to foreign students must be scrapped.

With Scottish exams scrapped, we must give our own highest priority to get in.

Imagine we get over this pandemic here, only for tens of thousands of foreign students turning up with covid19 in August, as our grannies are out of isolation thinking they’re safe.

Also, people in Scotland were infected with this at the end of December and early January. Wuhan city was only a flight away and it didn’t arrive via London. GPs knew people were ill in January. I know two people who were ill with this.

    • Bit xenophobic mate, thousands of those students pay fees and bring an economic boost to the areas where universities are situated. Giving those places away won’t come for free as teachers have to be paid, from our taxes probably.

      • Those potential students countries are not allowing international flights in at all. Especially for UK. Big time xenophobic of them!

So not this year maybe next. Unis need ordered to withdraw offers. See where we are in 2021. Good shout.

    • The sooner the immunity jab the better. Let’s get our elderly a flu jab for this. Don’t let anyone in beforehand.

Plus med tests for having Covid19 and antibodies for having had Covid19 for all arrivals plus cough and temperature screening.

When will junk mail stop coming in my door? Coronavirus on junk mail, leaflets exists for 72 hours. They put it in my door into my house every day. The prime minister needs to stop junk mail especially that glossy stuff.

  7. Oh dear wee Coco aka Bamber Gascoigne is at his very best tonight the funny fags must be dynamite. He is running with the wee guy HUDGIE as a sevco player and if he will still be at sevco after the summer . He is telling everyone HUDGIE is going nowhere without a sevco say so . Sevco will decide if he stays after the summer and if he moves on it’s only with their say . Oh dear this player does not belong to them but one of the Milan clubs is showing interest in him . They want first dibs on him on the cheap and then punt him immediately for a huge profit . Wee Coco he never let’s us down with his comedy gold . The thing is this wee guy thinks he is ahead of everyone else with dross which he spouts out on a daily basis . As if the parent club of HUDGIE will let sevco have him for €5 million for them to think they can punt him (dont laugh ) €100 million. Ah wee Bamber Gascoigne at his best .

  8. Maybe this virus has a wee silver lining for Sevco, they will be asking every player to take a 50% pay cut in the coming weeks, still have that end of season loan to pay though. And its at times like these Most loan companies want to get their money back as soon as possible. Wouldn’t it be just awful if Ashley put the squeeze on now for his damages claim!..

    • Real Billionaire Mike Ashley offered them that and had two very competent professionals on the Board delivering that.

He also had very real money to put in if emergency required it. Plus Newcastle development players to send up.

They spat it back in his face.

On Covid19, yeah the people on benefits need the money Immediately not pubs, restaurants and burger bars. The prices are going up and needing to buy antibacterial stuff etc… plus those who are ill need their heating switched up.

Where’s the Labour opposition to agitate for benefits increase immediately? It will calm the streets also, less pressure on folks.

      • The energy companies need to drop gas and electricity rates until summer, say, mid June. A meaningful drop. Or Govt should subsidise price per kw down.

The pressures need to be taken out of society. Not directing money to propping up capitalism.

  9. The priority isn’t a penny going into Ibrox.

The priority is governments getting money down to the pensioners, poor, needy and unemployed.

Benefits need beefing up for all on weekly rates to cover new costs, get the money down to those citizens that need it rather than directing £330billion to corporations. F*ck the airlines. Get the money to ordinary folks.

Every needy person is on the system on benefits. Get those on universal credit an extra £500 into their accounts monthly, ditto pensions.

Lol ah that auld favourite club 18to30 so desperate for a seat on the board they would promise to double up on the cash from direct debits every month and get conned out the seat at the last minute but still provide the extra cash that’s how daft they are . As I said on the previous post if Hearts are in dire financial state sevco must be skating on thin ice .
